I personally am content with the light intensity of the Sedona's stock bulbs. Malakas sya kahit naka-low beam lang ako. In fact, a lot of drivers switch to high beam when they are in the lane opposite me, thinking that I am already in high beam. Gulat lang nila pag nag-high beam ako sandali to signify that I'm just using low beam.

leolop:: Is the price quoted by Kia Quezon Ave for painting the whole front bumper only, without any dent repairs? I am also thinking about getting my front bumper repainted, as it has gotten into a few scrapes with tricycles and big rocks and such. And sorry, I wouldn't know if the price they quoted is reasonable, as I've never had a whole bumper repainted before.

i agree na sufficient na yung stock bulbs for my eyesight, and my windshield is fully tinted. baka depends on the driver and other conditions.

h4 bulbs kasi direct ang light projection niya to the oncoming traffic, that's why nakakasilaw. h7 bulbs for low beam, on the other hand, the light from the bulb hits a reverse deflector right in front of it, which reflects the light back, and uses the frame's reflectorized design to push the light back out. The deflector minimizes the glare to oncoming traffic, but for me, it also lessens its illumination intensity. When I had xenon plasma h4 installed in other cars, ang ganda ng effect. When I had the same type but this time h7 installed in the sedona, nawala yung mild tri-color effect, and the illumination was not the same. The h7 high beam lens, however, is a spotlight type, so direct. Pero of course, yung reach niya is not as far and widespread as an h4.

Ericmm, I already bought my tires at pricesmart yesterday. Dunlop lemans RV (215/70 R15). Price is 2899.95/each. Sila na rin ang nag-kabit at nag wheel balance. It took 30mins.

May bago ako problema. May leak daw iyung aircon ng sedona ko. At kailangan daw buksan. Meron ba kayong alam na gumagawa ng aircon na mapag-kakatiwalaan dito sa may south? P'que, Alabang or LP.

altec - I have a problem with my low beam light, I am able to turn the screw but the beam doesn't seem to go down kaya minsan nasisilaw yung mga kasalubong thinking that I am on high beam. Any suggestion what I can do or do I just simply change the assembly? TIA

eric, sedona model ba sa iyo? Kung carnival na h4, I think it has an adjusting screw to move the headlight assembly up, down, left and right, as in any h4 type assembly I've experienced with other cars. Yung sedona, wala pa akong makita. When I had the headlight bulbs changed, the shop had a hard time installing it. If you put in wrongly, yung light beam niya turns up (or was it down?). That was what the shop found out.

altec, my van is the carnival park II and it is H7. Is there a possibility na mali din ang pagkapalit nung ilaw ko kaya di ma-adjust. Di ba mas madali naman i-install yung H7? Di kaya talagang may problema na yung assembly ko?

Eric, will look at the headlights again in an hour kasi have to check the engine again, I suspect bumalik yung fuel knock ko!! What you do is to park your car facing a wall, and check the position of your illumination. Next, access your halogen bulb, and try to turn it around. Can go to the shop today coz have to drop a letter to their office anyway, and ask the specifics.

hello guys,

The problem was solved when I bleed the fuel filter and check the fuel tank. MAy air sa fuel filter after pumping it. The fuel tank was clean because of my biodiesel usage (thank God). So hindi fuel pump.

I filled here up with biodiesel and wha la!!!! back to normal. It seems that air came in because of my low fuel level. And there were small traces of water in my fuel. So the solution is not to let the tank go below 1/4 and always put biodiesel. I filled her with shell diesel twice paying P500 each time. No biodiesel. That was before this loss of power happened.

So now definitely every tank up will be with biodiesel.

sir kaboodle, for aircon problems, di ako sure sa pq, alabang, lp area...
pero i usually visit abacus sa boni serrano near 20th ave., mejo malayu sayo.

ericmm, dati yung high beam ko, nainstall ko pabaliktad, pumantay sya sa low beam. may guide naman pero it is still possible to have it upside down.

re power problem pag low batt, i'll switch back to a branded batt na lang cguro sometime this year (yung 15 plates na). yung AT ata may mga solenoid valves kaya mas malakas sa kuryente ng sasakyan.

eric, checked with kia and looked at my sedona and a carnival. The sedona has a hole on top of the headlight assembly, which shows left and right. Wala akong makita na adjustment hole up and down. The carnival, however, has a hole naman, up and down. Wala left and right. The kia service advisor even brought out their technical handbook, di rin niya alam. Sabi niya, di daw possible na mabaliktad ang pagkabit ng headlight bulb. Obviously, as mentioned ni trendy, pwede mabaliktad.

thanks treny08, I will look into that later baka nga baliktad - meron pa ngang dagdag problema yun eh. Yung nag-install nung ilaw ko dati hindi na-higpitan yung cover sa likod nung ilaw so nahulog siya - so ngayon open yung likod prone to water and moisture. Siyempre di ka naman makakabili ng takip lang kailangan assembly. Baka naman meron kayong alam na may surplus na baka matsambahan ko meron yung takip lang

i recently replaced my headlights with h7 super white. pag kakabit ko nga biglang nakita ko sa isang thread, wala daw kwenta yung mga ganung bulbs! hehe pero solve naman ako sa illuminition, cguro depende sa klase ng bulb. not comparable to HID pero white sya..bka lagyan lang ng relay ay lumakas pa.

re adjustment:
meron adjustment ng up and down sa gitna ng high at low na bulbs. mine has a hole sa body pero wala yung screw to adjust...not sure why (there is supposed to be a screw that you can turn para u don't have to take off the assembly. so in my case, tinaggal ko yung assembly (tatlong size 10 na bolt lang naman) then andun sa sa bottom middle nung assembly , there is just this black round thing that you can turn. yung left and right naman near the upper portion of the low beam. may hole din sa body pero wala yung adjustment screw....not sure if Im making sense... let me know if you need pix. (wala rin bang adjustment screw yung sa inyo?)

meron screw na puwedeng sundutin pero ang hirap so tinanggal ko na nga rin yung assembly and then i turned it clockwise - placed the assembly back tapos parang no change. I removed the assembly again and turned it counter clockwise parang wala ring nangyari. Sa inis ko pinabayaan ko na lang yun nga lang naiinis naman ang mga kasalubong ko sa kalye. hay naku.... Try ko na lang ulit.

Any suggestions on how to increase illumination of the fog lights?

question re aircon..... front aircon mahina ang blower. pero malamig naman. yung sa rear mukhang ok naman. ano kaya problem? my ride is a local 2000 model carnival. thanks

i'm scheduled to drop by at shell sucat or wheels erod on saturday for the check-up......

just want to update you pipol on my problem.... had the chance to check thouroughly the car last saturday and woala.... i found out that the alternator belt was nearing its lifespan... as in me bawas na!!!
.... the strand that i found last monday night is part pala of the alternator belt!!! it was a good decision din not to bring the car in the office for fear of something might break on my way...

so what i did is to drive to Shell and have the belt replaced by my suking mekaniko.... buti na lang i still had spare belt for this kaya it just cost me P200 for less than 30 minutes job... my next move is to buy another spare para pag long drive, nothing to worry where to buy this part. quote pala sa kin ng fronte for alternator belt is P750.

question po.... is the lifespan of belts normally 1 year lang? any suggestion po for a better brand of belts?
.... on tires, are dunlop le mans performed better than bridgestone dueler? thanks po

Mga sir, saan po ba sa Banawe yung Fronte? It seems like a lot of you guys get spare parts from there, so I am planning to stock up on stuff like filters and belts when I visit QC in the future.

bisoy:: Di kaya mahina na yung motor ng blower mo sa harap kaya mahina yung buga nya? Does your aircon unit have the microfilter thingy that was discussed a few pages back? If it does, is it still in good condition?

mikey, i dnt know kung humina na ang motor ng aircon blower ko. wala kasi akong ma compare na carnival 1st gen. tinitingnan ko nga yung microfilter pero i cnt find it nung nakababa ang compartment. actually, i had the aircon cleaned (general cleaning) jst last week. mas malamig na ang aircon but the blower is a little mahina (i think)....
