otep,
by the looks of it mukhang extended wheelbase.
mikey,
AFAIK, "Z" and start ng plates niya. so i assume its locally acquired.
leolop,
i cannot tell if its a Gas or diesel variant. it doesn't have a hood scoop though. so its gasoline fed?
Sana may display ng 06 sedona sa Megamall carshow.

i saw the red carnival again entering valle verde 5, had an ateneo sticker on windshield. no hood scoop for sure. realy nice. medyo naluma dating ng carnival sedona natin. my assumption is gray market.
anyway, patulong naman to solve a mystery. yesterday, our carnival would not start because the battery had mysteriously been discharged (outlast 3sm, maintenance freef, 1 yr old). the other night, i forgot to unplug the car charger of our dvd player from the lighter socket, but this isn't supposed to affect it when there's no key in the ignition, right?
anyway, i got my jumper cables and clipped them to my other car, even started it to make sure electricity was really flowing, but the carnival still wouldn't start.
i had to use my other car for the day (coded pa naman) and when i got back, i swapped batteries. carnival started fine. why wouldn't the jumper cables work? it was as if it made no difference that they were attached but when i placed the battery directly, it worked fine.
anyway, i removed the replacement battery while the carnival was running and placed the orig to let it recharge for 15 mins. afterwards it started fine. that was last night, this morning ok pa rin.
di ko pa nadadala sa outlast para ma-check yung battery and alternator current, but it would seem they will turn out fine. any comments?

If your Carnival is a diesel, hindi siya mapapaandar ng ordinary jumper cables. Dapat jumper cables ng diesel or pasadya ka ng jumper cables using the thickest wires you can find (yung jumper clips meron sa malls at hardware nun, meron na din siguro sila nung wire).
Medyo mataas kasi ang kuryente na kailangan ng diesel to start, baka kinulang lang yung battery mo (due to some unknown circumstance). Observe mo muna kung uulit.

October 5th, 2006 10:09 AM #1318Maybe it was the soleniod that controls fuel inlet in the fuel injector pump, didn't have enought current to operate.

i heard from a very reliable source that KIA will come out with the new body sedona by next year. he did not specify if it were diesel or gas though.
i keep my ears open for any news about upcoming mini-vans and suv's coz i'm planning to buy 1 next year.
