Hi guys, yesterday my Innova won't start. Whenever I start it up, it immediately shuts down. If I stepped on the gas pedal, whenever I start up, ok sya. Pero may mga instances din na even if I stepped on the gas pedal, biglang namamatay pa rin ang makina. 2 technicians from toyota said that this is a common problem daw sa Innova, hindi daw ako yung first. They said that the factory did not set the ICU properly so they have to reset it daw. So I thought everything was ok pero just this morning, ganon ulit. Pag start ko, namamatay ulit sya. =(

Keep updating us with your problem, bro. Where is the ICU located? Is it the black box on the left side of the engine? I was thinking, hindi siya waterproof and moisture might accumulated inside. Your problem might be our problem too.

Well if i remember yours is gas engine...

SO they said that the cause is from factory daw...hmm..

i hope oks na innova mo kapag na reset na ang "ICU thing" na yan, sana di naman yan ang sakit ng makina ng innova or else that will be the biggest mistake sa history ng toyota engine... dont worry bro under warranty pa naman yan!!!

Though under maintenance, nakakainis lang ang abala. That's why we bought brand new cars, para walang sakit ng ulo.

oo nga eh ganon talga kaya nga brand new binibili natin para wala sakit ng ulo at dapat always in good running condition, eh kung pagstart mo ayaw nakakbadtrip talaga. pano kung sa mall ka inabot eh di hindi ka nakalabas ng parking

J-Gas ang sa iyo, di ba?

Ganyan din ang sa akin. May spots ng oil leaks sa garahe. But the Service Advisor told me na it's normal dahil sa excess oil. After nung 5 kms PMS nawala pero lately napansin ko may mga spots ng oil uli sa garahe. I-reklamo ko again sa 10 kms PMS.

Let's see if others have the same problem.

Yesterday, i checked yung ilalim ng engine to locate the source of the leaks. But, it's dry and no traces of oil. I found out na ang oil leaks ay galing dun sa Corolla ko na 96 model.

The first time I checked it, basa ng oil ang ilalim ng engine. It seemed it was fixed nung ng 5k pms ako. Hoping na wala ng tumulo.

Ask ko lang kung tinawag mo ang tech nila na pumunta sayo?? at what time yan nangyari at weekdays ba yan??

Kaya ko tinanong ito kasi dati may problem ako sa susi kong extra na ginamit dito, di ko mahugot mula sa keyhole niya, kaya tumawag akosa dealer ko, ang sabi sakin sa monday na lang daw ako puede i-service kasi that was saturday 530Pm ng tawagan ko sila at umalis na mga tech nila... WTF..

Kaya ko tinanong ito kasi dati may problem ako sa susi kong extra na ginamit dito, di ko mahugot mula sa keyhole niya, kaya tumawag akosa dealer ko, ang sabi sakin sa monday na lang daw ako puede i-service kasi that was saturday 530Pm ng tawagan ko sila at umalis na mga tech nila... WTF..

Tinawagan ko sila nung Saturday and mga 3 to 4pm siguro dumating sila sa office ko. A funny thing happened though, nag park kasi yung tech nila sa labas ng building namin and they forgot to roll down their windows, so tumakbo bigla yung dalawa to make sure na nandun pa yung service car nila. =) May dala silang gadget which looks like a humongous cellphone na may connector. They attached it below my steering wheel. I wasn't able to see much of what they're doing cuz may rush ako sa office and I asked one of our employees to watch over them. I think it took them just 10mins to fix it. Sabi nila na (not really sure if I heard them right) mali daw yung calculation nung ICU sa pag pump ng oil or something like that, kaya they have to reset it daw hehehe will just ask them again tom.

pre ano nga pala ibig sabihin ng ICU di ka kasi alam eh!!! iba pa ba yan sa ECU (engine Control Unit)?

Hindi kaya ang cause nyan ay ang dirty diesel natin? Or, maybe, contaminated ang fuel mo. Anong diesel ang kinarga mo?
