Bench, many thanks for the explanation. So far, my kumander has no complaints with the Innova except medyo di daw malambot yung clutch like the sedans. She used to drive a Honda Accord VTI-s.

We just did not have time to check the actual mileage. Perhaps, when we go out of town, we'll go check.

may gray mica ba na innova E and ano ba talaga meron sa E variants rear window defogger or rear wipers?

All colors available for the G variant is also available for the E variant except the Gray Mica and white (J variant only).

The E variant has rear wipers but NO rear window defogger.

Hi all! Just joined the forum. My commander in chief (wife) got an Innova J-VVTI, ODO reading is at around 850 km. Has anyone noticed na yung aircon sa rear, medyo matagal lumamig? Lumalamig din naman after mga 3 minutes. Are you experiencing the same problem? Yung front a/c works fine. Another query, in case gusto namin palitan yung stock na metal reams into mags, may bibili pa ba nito plus the hub caps? Dito sa Alabang area ay wala may gusto bumili nito. Sayang naman so my kumander just opted to keep the metal reams.

Anyway, as regards undercoating, I had it done at Shell for PhP 2,600.00 although beware because di uniform ang pricing ng Shell. Punta kayo doon sa medyo mura ang rental at wag sa mga prime areas. One Shell station wanted to charge me PhP 3,500. It took the whole day and three coatings ang nilagay. I would recommend that you do it on a sunny day para matuyo kaagad yung undercoat. I likewise bought a huge matting (PhP 450.00) para sa rear portion ng Innova and I had it shaped to conform to the shape ng flooring. That way, you can protect the carpet sa rear where most of the stuff are loaded.

As regards Toyota Dealers, we got it from Toyota Bicutan and we got a 3M tint for free, 3 years LTO registration, seat cover, mat, Mapfre compre Insurance, mud guards, muffler cutter, and the sidings. I think I added a few thousands because I insisted on Mapfre Insurace. Please note that there is a PhP 25,000.00 rebate that you can get for every purchase and bahala na kayo what items to get basta magkasya sa 25K. I do not suggest that you avail of free insurance. They normally get a really sucky provider (I will not mention the name anymore). Get this on your own and max the 25k on other items/services. For Insurance, I have been a loyal Mapfre customer although make sure that the owner's participation is clear to you. My other cars insured at Mapfre had the owner's participation at PhP 2,000.00 while the one I had for Innova is at PhP 7,000.00. Also, please have the "acts of nature" covered because you will never know kung kelan kayo mababaha (God Forbid) and malulubog yung units nyo (it happened to me and 2 cars were affected!).

As regards the wiper sa rear window, Instead of installing one (on J models), I would suggest that you just purchase this chemical that makes the water bounce off the glass. Covered pa yung entire rear glass and hindi limited portion lang.

Yung power windows for the J, wala pa daw.

One last thing, Di ko pa na-try to but I heard that if na-lock yung keys and remote mo sa loob ng kotse, what you can do is call your yaya on the cellphone sa bahay (if you have a spare remote at home) and while your talking on the phone, have your yaya press the unlock key (mas malapit sa mobile phone nya, mas ok). The person who discovered this claims na yung signal ng remote will travel through your cellphone connection and unlock your vehicle. Kung may magta try nito and mag work, paki timbre lang po.

The antenna is located on the right rear quarter window panel. It is printed onto the glass itself (so you might mistake it for a defogger but its not).

The window defogger is located at the rear windshield.

Hi Innova owners,

I'm planning to get an Innova by October and I was wondering why the J and the E model does'nt have the Door Ajar Warning. Can this be installed later or this can be installed in the Dealer? I have asked this on the sales agent but could not give me staright answer.

I have right now a Lancer with a defective door rubber sealant and everytime my kids rides with me the door is always ajar but the good thing is it gives warning on the intrument panel.

For Innova J and E owners, how do you know if there is a door ajar before you step on the gas? Safety for my passenger is just my concern.

I think the cabin light is the one located at the ceiling of the car. My innova is j variant, I use the cabin light as indicator for the doors.

Tanong lang po for owners of Innova J - VVTI. May insulation ba yung ilalim ng hood nyo? I saw kasi that yung D4D version, meron. Yung sa min na J-VVTI ay walang insulation.

talagang walang insulation yung mga vvti-engine units, kahit J or G variant. Yung D4-D engine units (from J to G variants) lang ang meroong hood insulation. Same thing with the Fortuners.

D4D yung amin, so i can't comment regarding the gas consumption. as for the ride, its great! better than the 2002-2003 CRV (i have a CRV kaya i can say this for sure). actually, ang talagang kinagigiliwan ko sa innova ay ang driving position. for me its perfect. right arm on the armrest (which i really think is just right), left arm on the dooor. right foot angle is just right. plus the sense of roominess is wonderful; great for long drives.

tell your sister to go for it. hindi siya magsisisi.

(btw, kung sanay siya sa sedan, baka manibago siya kasi iba pa din talaga ang ride ng sedan compared sa mga AUV/SUV's. so don't compare apples to oranges. unless of course you're talking about a range rover. yun masarap talaga ang ride nun.)

Nagpa 25000 km pms ako lasy monday, sabi ko sa SA, regular pms then paki check ung preno medyo mahina at ung importante " mabagal siya, paki testing bago nyo hipuin." Iniwan ko ang unit ko to give them enough time to fix my concerns. 3pm my SA called, ok na daw pwede na kunin. Inutusan ko ang driver ko sabi ko testingin mo muna bago mo iuwi. Pag uwi nya I ask him kung tinest ung unit, hindi daw kasi late na.
So kinabukasan ginamit ko papuntang Baclaran, parang walang improvement ah! Para talagang matest ng husto, dinala ko ang unit ko sa SM Mall of Asia May mahabang stretch dun sa seaside. From a starting point I let my wife time my run. namputsta!,37 seconds 90km/h! Ni hindi ako umabot ng 100km, Bad trip! Tinawagan ko agad ang SA ko, sabi nya dalin ko daw ung unit. Haaaay, nakakapagod na lagi na lang ganito. Dinala ko last friday ang unit ko sabi ko, I dont care kung medyo matagalan basta ang gusto ko matapos na ang problema ko. Napapagod na ako kapapabalik balik ko sa inyo! Hanggang ngayon nadun pa unit ko.
