Hi guys, just came back from Toyota. Finally! After 8 days of waiting, naayos na rin nila yung Innova ko.

Here's the summary of what they replaced:
    1. PUMP
    2. 4 INJECTORS
    3. COMMON RAIL
    4. FUEL FILTER
    5. 4 NOZZLE HOLDER
    6. 3 PIPES
    7. FUEL PIPE
    8. NOZZLE PIPE (not sure about this though)
    9. GASKET
    10. SUPPLY PUMP
    11. O-RING
    12. PIPE INJECTION

They told me that the cause of my Innova not starting up is because of these defects. That's why they have to replace them. Sabi sa akin I'm customer number 2 who had this defect. haaaaayyyy

incidentally, kinorrect ko na dati ang stats natin, mali kasi nakalagay sa akin. our unit is color white na J-Diesel variant. thanks uli

Gusto ko rin magpakabit ng rear mirror..hehe do you have a pic on what it looks like? =)

bro maglagay ka rin ng "wide angle view mirror" since naka atras ka ng basurahan na di mo kita. sa wide angle view mirror pag tingin mo sa rear view mirror kita mo ang daan sa likod unlike kapag wala ka ganito pagtingin mo sa rear view mirror yung ka level lang ng salamin nakikita mo. ang gulo ko waaaahhh!!!. dinidikit lang to sa likod na salamin ng ride mo!!! but you also need a back mirror sa gitgitan na parking at kapag u need to see ur rear bumper while parking. sa handyman dae wide angle view mirror cost P150-P300 lang naman di na masama kesa sa wala... malaking advantage talaga to lalo na sa mga mahilig mag reverse parking kagaya ko!!!!

    2. Of the diesel owners, 60% chose M/T over A/T
    3. of the gas owners, 75% chose M/T over A/T
    4. If you combine all variants, Diesel M/T is 38%
    Diesel A/T is 26%
    Gas M/T is 28%
    Gas A/T is 8%

In my opinion, when they claimed that all of the above parts are the caused of failure at the same time, I can't hardly agree. Just imagine, almost the complete CRDI system has been replaced. Anyway, it's good for us as part of the warranty. How if we experience the same failure after the warranty period? The way I analyze these parts' mulfunctioning, the only common problem I have in mind is the quality of fuel that has caused this problem.
Bro, can you ask your dealer how much it will cost if it happened out of warranty?

buti na lang under warranty.. those parts might be too expensive dahil bago pa at konti pa lang nagbebenta nyan dito sa atin (baka wala pa nga)

but don't worry, the 2.5 diesel engine sa Innova is also used on the ff: toyota vehicles
    - 2005 HiAce
    - 2005 Hilux
    - Fortuner (coming soon ang 2.5 diesel)

and with the global IMV project of Toyota, halos buong mundo gagamit nyang same engine na iyan, so parts will be easy to find in the future ang might become cheap..

Actually ung pump and the 4 pipes lang ang defective pero sabi nung sa Service na once they replace those parts, kasama na rin yung mga iba kahit na hindi daw sira...
All those replacements they made costs 99k+, close to 100 thou na sya.

That sounds a bit strange... a silent recall perhaps?

If the same defects occur after the warranty, pwede kayang wag papalitan ang other still good order parts to save on repair costs? Imagine 100 K. Magkano naman kung yung defective pump and the 4 pipes lang ang pinalitan?

pala, i had a flat tire last tuesday and it was my first time to use my spare tire. my experience was- hirap na hirap akong ibaba ung spare tire. pagkatapos mavulcanize at ibabalik ko ung gulong ko, hirap pa rin ako... kumakalas ung chain pg inaakyat ko ung gulong. kaya ibinalik ko sa toyota, sira nga ung spare tire carrier. buti na lng under warranty.. un nga lng, wala na nmang parts..oder pa daw sa planta... ngaun, d ko magamit ung 3rd row seats...kc lalagyan muna ng spare tire

kaya sa mga bibili ng bagong unit, try inspecting also the carrier..=)

I think kung fuel pump lang ang defective, that's no big deal. If this pump is electrically operated, most probably the failure has something to do with its electrical part (like winding, connectors and other related circuits). In any electrical device, no one can foresee when it will fail. This case might be one in a hundred. Though this is only my assumption.
To my initial conclusion, no major trouble so far has been noted yet. So, be happy...
