sir, mine is the diesel variant. nag start yun problem nun unit ko mga 2 weeks ago. ok naman yun takbo ng sasakyan yun nga lang, kapag naka idle yun unit, umiilaw yun MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp). So what I do, I switch it OFF, then switch it ON again.

When my Boss and I traveled to Isabela from Tarlac we used his 2005 D4D Innova J. He replaced his stock steel rims with 17" mags with 225/35 tires on the front and 225/45 tires on the rear. I asked why the "thin" profile he said he took it from his eclipse. Coz if it were up to me, I''ll upgrade to 225/55/R17.

Now going to Isabela is like going up and down Baguio twice! Less the steep slopes that is. To get there, there are 2 mountains you must pass... first the Sta. Fe-Aritao road or Dalton Pass next is the Bagabag-Diadi road.

We agreed that we take turns driving, me from Tarlac to Aritao and he from Aritao to Isabela.

When I took the wheel, I immediately noticed the difference in his ride.
It handles well when accelerating and in turns... especially when we're in the zig-zags of Dalton Pass.

The only thing I didn't like is... with the "thin" profile I felt every bumps, cracks and stone on the road! Every irregularity of the road I felt it.

I'm used to driving my stock mags and tires with 34 psi inflation. So I could really tell the difference. I'm still wondering what it would be like to drive a 225/55/R17... maybe others here can share their experience.

The EGR should only be available on diesel engines (D4D for Toyota). At least that's as far as I know for the automobile industry. It's a technology adapted (or originated) by Industrial Diesel Engine manufacturers to respond to the emission reduction requirements. It helps to keep our innovas emit less pollutants compared to the conventional diesel engines-equipped vehicles.

Under warranty, Toyota will inspect and top-off, when needed, your cooling system with the toyota coolant (pre-mixed with correct additive content) during PMS. You need not opt for using other brands.
Though, Caltex's coolant additive is a good product as I have used it for many years in my old vehicle. More important when you do your own coolant fill-up or replacement, never use tap water. Use demineralized or distilled water. Minerals are what "scales" are made off. They will build up on your cooling system and will make it inefficient.

Hi, Trebuchet. I've been looking at replacing my stock tires with wider ones. I read in this, or maybe another, thread that changing to lower profiled and wider tires improves handling and grip, which somehow translates to better fuel economy. I think you have proven the better handling issue. I hope somebody can provide figures that will help justify on the financial side as the Php 50K + expense is hard to swallow at this point. Then again, in my case who only travels 22km daily, the potential savings may not exist at all.

    Hello everyone,

I reserved an Innova E Manual Gas yesterday and Toyota Commonwealth gave me free compre insurance, free 3-yrs LTO registration plus the usual matting and tint but excluding the full front tint.

BTW, do you think it Diesel would have been a better choice?

    Thank you.

Looks like you have a good deal with the free insurance. Maybe, in lieu of the free matting and seat cover, you could haggle for the inclusion of free full front tint. The seatcover and floor mat is worth 2k in TQA but that is for a Vios, btw. Is your tint at least 3M?

If renegade128 managed to get free insurance, maybe you can try haggling for it. Btw, pls see above what I wrote in response to renegade128 post, I think it may be applicable to your case.

    Guys,
help naman po..m really pissed off sa tagal ng Innova G DSL Black ko. A dealer Toyota ***** *** asked for a reservation fee para within the week e makuha ko na unit ko. Its been 3 weeks already. I called every dealer there is and wala pa rin daw. Wala din sila date na mabigay sakin kung kelan dadating. Nainis ako kac they made me believe na merong unit. Now I'm thinking of getting either a KIA Carens or Ford Everest.

Do you think it is a good buy rather than waiting for the Innova? Family use po ito. Thanks guys..

Why don't you try Toyota Manila Bay, it's under the same group of companies with Toyota Cubao, Marikina and Dasmarinas and most of all Toyota Motors Philippines.

Thank you for your replies. Actually I also did get free undercoating and seat cover, just forgot to mention. I am very likely to get the gas as it's available. I have to pay an upgrade for the tint though, so I could get 3M.

I also added P8,500 for keyless entry, back-up sensor and the front windshield tint.
