I use armor all multi-purpose cleaner.
I use it weekly, been using it for 4 months. It leaves no residue when it dries. It just cleans the typical dark patches that sticks to plastic overtime.
i apply it to the entire interior, except the ceiling and fabric upholster which I protected by 3m auto interior protectant since day1.

About Break-in period.
The owner's manual on page 202 says: as qouted
Okay lang if you drive it 120-150 as long it was not a long and sustained speed like you are racing it. As long as you did not throttle your engine RPM to the red line.Drive gently and avoid high speeds.
Your vehicle does not need elaborate break-in. But following a simple tips for the first 1000 km(600 miles) can add to the future economy and long life of your vehicle:
Avoid full throttle acceleration when starting and driving.
Avoid racing the engine.
Try to avoid hard stops during the first 300km (200 miles).
Do not drive slowly with the manual transmission in high gear.
Do not drive for a long time at any single speed, either fast or slow.
About cleaning beige interior of Innova G and V variants (mine has beige leatherette seat cover also). Before I'm fond of using those spray-on and liquid conditioner, but later on I preferred using wet MF cloth with diluted dishwashing soap. I find it easier to remove dirt using dishwashing liquid even on the beige leatherette seat cover and they look more sleek and not glossy like film coat. I prefer none glossy look on the interior, but if you want glossy looking interior you can use those spray-on liquids sold at the DIY shops.
i use turtle wax power out upholstery cleaner. works well for me.![]()
Hi Sir, Mam,
Good Afternoon,
Just want to ask whether Our Innova was included on the recall list. Kasi there are I herd some heresay that it is included but with a different problem? I just want to confirm with you guy whether it is included or not.?
Thanks GUY's !!!!
your opinion please...
last sunday went to st. therese chapel sa may newport manila, nag park ako sa underground parking nila upon exit pataas matarik siguro mga 45 deg inclination yung aproach... madali naman sya naka akyat kaso halfway along i have to turn right again wich is also matarik din, pag turn ko pa lang ng steering wheel di na kinaya ng makina at dumadaplis na yung rear wheel.....
innova G gas yung gamit ko...
It's the tires, presuming your still using the stock tires.. Normally all makers give you the most crappy tires then sell the car at a higher price.. Even Ford does this, in fact almost all the makers do this thing..
Today is a sad day..
Took our innova for its 5k pms, cost for mineral oil and oil filter change is P3000+. there's no such thing daw na P1600 lang as some have mentioned. now I'm confused who to believe.
But there's more.. What's sad is that our 5k innova had a faulty shock absorber. how can this be possible?!
5kms old, shock absorber = broken. warranty covers this di ba? please enlighten me what I can/should do under this circumstance.
Shocks should have a 3yrs warranty, same as the whole of the car. There are some rumors that i hear that says shocks are consumable parts.
As long as the car or the relative parts to the shocks are stocks ( e.g.wheels/mags), Warranty should cover the parts.
It depends on the casa, some may consider that as wear and tear, therefore not covered by warranty.. But 5,000 kms? I mean, toyota should honor that..
You should check your Service Invoice, all items are stipulated there with corresponding prices. For your case I feel they included Flushing fluid and Additives or they put semi synthetic oil. Next time before you give your car to the service bay, be firm to say to your Service Advisor not to include Flushing or Additives which are non essential IMO and be firm to say you only need mineral oil. At 5K PMS, that is still no labor charge (Free Labor) so your bill should be below P2K for mineral oil (6liters for VVTi and 7 liters for D4d) and oil filter only, so better check your Service Invoice.
For your shock absorber, it is under warranty for 3 years. I have mine replaced (2 front shocks) on different dates. Be firm to claim it under warranty, if you are having trouble claiming warranty then proceed to your dealers Customer Relation Officer...all dealers have at least 1 CRO.
It is covered by warranty, there no serviceable parts in shocks in which owners could tamper.
As long as your car is under warranty, your shocks does too.
Do you guys remember the first TV ads of Innova? where the Innova runs on rough and jagged road and the video took a close up shot of the front tires while moving...I was amazed by that video but now having the experiences of faulty shocks on different dates during the warranty period, I feel goofed by that TV commercial. This is probably the case that they pulled out the Innova TV commercial before they get in trouble about "truth in advertising".
shocks or any suspension component is part of warranty.
as for me, i was hearing some rattling noises on the front driver's side every time i drive on potholes. brought it to the attention of my SA.
technician's from Toyota plant came to the CASA, inspected my car and replaced a chasis bushing. acquired car ko June 2009. kaka 5,000 kms lang 2 weeks ago.
also, technicians from the plant adjusted my car's unbalanced height. 2nd time they did that na.
all for free.
Hello guys
Question lang po.Nung tingnan ko underchasis ng car ko. I saw my kalawang sa part transmission ung bracket lang ang kinalawang not all transmision. Normal lang ba ito??? Ung sa inyo kaya???
2months old pa car ko..
hope to hear some reply.Thanks
-SUPERCAR
Sobra naman yan,1800 lang sa mineral oil.
next time before having Pms talk to the Service advisor and ask agad magkano lahat magastos.Pa total mo agad... Tell to them na Oil change lang. Wala ng iba.Para di ka m shock sa bill.. hehehe
hope this will help...![]()
