hi,
im new here but i've been reading through this forum for quite some time now VERY INFORMATIVE and FUN...
by the way im a very satisfied owner of an innova j d4d 05,
regards to all!![]()
appreciated this sir, and this is only supported by double sided mounting tapes?
i have already bought a narrower one at concorde yesterday, 300 bucks, and without the hinge, fixed type. i think this would be light enough to be supported by mounting tapes. planning to stick it on the upper part of the frame, will post pics, before I install it to collect some ideas.
also, do I just connect these 2 wires in parallel with the brake light terminals? (positive, negative) any precautions?
thanks sir trebuchet!
just to add, are there provisions where can i tap the wires for the third brake light in our innovas? just to avoid tampering issues...
yeap ako din, more than a month after un pa din freebies, mas napaganda pa ng kaunti, pwersahin mo lang kasi pera mo naman un.
kung nag cash out na tapos nabago ung freebies, may karapatan ka na i demand un, if not takutin mo bawiin, takutan lang yan, mga sales agent style yan..
remekta ka na sa bossing nila
hehe. hirap kitain ng pera
Hehe, ok lng yung travel nya for me ksi mahaba tlaga yung stick pero nahihirapan lng ako ipasok sa 1st and 2nd gear pati sa reverse ayaw minsan kumagat.
Sa mga nakamanual na innova, ganun pa rin ba condition nya after a while nyo na nagamit sya? mukhang ksi may stopper pa yung sa akin bgo pumasok sa 1st and 2nd gear hehe. thanks!
hi folks!
will be expecting delivery of innova E diesel AT this week.
is casa service really necessary? read somewhere that car manufacturers sometimes sell their vehicles at almost no profit at all or even at a loss and make up for it in the form of casa services and sale of spare parts. much like computer printer makers who sell their printers at watered down prices and then make a killing on the sale of ink for those printers.
that you save much more if you engage the services of a trusted shop or backyard mechanic and make use of shop recommended non-branded parts that are as good and sometimes even manufactured by independent contractors who in the first place manufacture these parts for vehicle manufacturers like toyota.
that they offer these warranties to cow you into their casa service as if their vehicle is gonna fall apart within the warranty period when it is just the reverse
I wouldn't gamble on voiding the vehicle's warranty by having a non Toyota casa service it. You do save some money but it is not worth it esp. if you find defective parts [that needs replacement] in your new vehicle (which you would eventually do in the coming months of use).
You can have it serviced outside, after the warranty expires in three years.

Gee... thanx Number001!
we do have a law governing warranty against hidden defects... will research and see if this law can override the casa service warranty provisions...
bought my vehicle on credit and laki monthly amortization...these has severely affected my "bad habits" which would surely be jeopardized all the more by these casa charges.
read that the collapse of the big 3 car manufacturers in the US is partly because of lemon products and partly because jap cars sold in the US are as reliable and as trouble free even after the warranty period expires. don't know if same here in Pinas'
just would like to know from you folks/friends out there who had innovas way back 2005 2006 and 2007 if you encountered any major defects on your units. this my first new car
mga bossing, my innova g vvti 2008 has a running 8,250km ODO for about 8 months na. my question is about the radiator fluid (pink color), its content sa reservoir nya has considerably dropped. BTW, hindi pa ako naka-fill up ever since. Although during the pms (during 1000 and 5000 odo), casa may have filled up some fluid. According to casa personnel (sales agent) before, hindi madaling maubos yung radaitor fluid, so hindi raw ako kailangan magdagdag for about a year and a half, and during those time casa will do the filling-up of the radiator fluid. Now should I wait for the next PMS (10,000 odo), or should I fill it up myself? Should I buy the one sold at casa or okay na yung nasa True Value or other similar stores.... TIA
From my experience (nearing 3 year old VVti G M/T), I would say the engine, transmission, A/C, electricals and brake system is truly reliable and trouble free.
And here are some minor and major parts that was replaced:
Front shock absorber (Passenger side) - replaced after 1 1/2 year - warranty claim
Front shock absorber (Driver side) - replaced after 2 years - warranty claim
Rear Door stay/lift (both L/R) - replaced after 2 1/2 years - warranty claim
Fuel Tank sub assembly - replaced after 1 year - Insurance claim.
Fuel Tank sub assembly - replaced again after few months, same gas tank deformation and leak problem - REPLACED by WARRANTY CLAIM through TMPI. To avoid this recurring problem they also replaced the Filler cap, and charcoal canister.
