You can link together smaller cable ties so it isn't immediately noticeable! That's what I did before we got the alloys. Learned my lesson when the right rear hubcap flew off while driving through the SLEX just past the Alabang flyover.
I inquired about the price of a single hubcap at a Toyota casa and they told me that it cost PhP3,000! After driving for a few more kilometers, I saw a tire and used rim dealer by the side of the road. Then, a miracle! They happened to have spare Innova hubcaps and the guy sold me one for just PhP300. It was a bit scratched and it was repainted with matching color but heck, it's better than none. Eventually we got the alloy rims and I never had to worry about flying hubcaps again.

ahihi, kijang the same naman as toyota, hehe, just to be different from some of the rest. hehe
pero for the letter J, never will i change it to L, hehe
up for my RFIs:
for J owners, any tip on how to add some security on the hubcap? thinking of using large cable ties,
and another thing, are there any other types of TBL (third Brake Light) for our innova? besides from the spoiler = TBL combo, don't really need that spoiler though
where can I get luggage tray similar to OEM, except for banawe areas?

^Transparent cable ties are ok! It won't be noticeable unless closely inspected.
Hi innova peeps...
Its been a while since I logged in here, as for my ride, I have 225/55/R17s, Grip, Handling and braking is quite satisfactory for me, since 55 tires are not really thin, it is quite comfortable... although I"feel" that it takes more time to accelerate from standstill... assuming you step on the gas pedal lightly... I feel fuel consumption will be higher compared to stock rims & tire... and since its around 4% difference from tire calculator, speedometer & odometer might not be accurate
gil
hmm. i wonder how they are installed, saw some generic TBLs being sold in Blade, 250 bucks, thinking how can i secure its mounting.. at the same time maintaining its neat look, and no drillings. no picture for this on the TYT otis website
yeap, forget the exact page though, hmm, anyways, one month pa daw ang dating ng order in case kaya i still have time to feed my senses.
Hello fellow Innova Owners,
I just got my Innova E VVTi Manual last Monday. My question is when I turn the ignition key and the engine starts, it revs up to 2000 rpm then slowly goes down to about 1000 rpm. Is this normal?
Thank you in advance. Kind regards.
That's exactly what I used on my ride... It's a 1 foot LED lamp. I used 3M double-sided tape (the red one) to secure it in place. I'll try to post pics to give you an idea.
I just installed it myself, but if you want you can have it installed at casa. I saw them installing one in an Avanza. I was having my 40K PMS when I saw them.
guys,
after almost a month of waiting I "think" my Innova G dsl is already available..hehe..hindi na ko mapakali e..hope to join one of your ebs..thanks..
saw more alternatives yesterday in concorde megamall. one is similar to this (pic)
adhesive tape is located at the bottom of the base.
another one is similar to those cathode tube light, where the adhesive is located on both ends.
i just don't think these adhesive tapes would be reliable in durability of its mounting.
yeap, maybe there would be provisions already for OEM TBLs (installed in G or V) in J models.
As promised... here are some pics of what TBL I used... click link to Innova Accessories Thread:

hi, I just got my Innova J last Friday. Notice ko lng ksi vios 1.3 ksi nadadrive ko nung nagdriving school ako, madali lng ipasok sa 1st and 2nd gear as compared to Innova. Ganun ba tlaga pagbago? Yung steering nya may schreeching sound, malamang kulang sa lubricant lng to, gusto ko nga balik na agad sa casa para maremedyuhan kaagad.
