this is the first time i heard that casa would advice the use of oil additives. from another thread in this forum, it has been consistently advised not to use oil additives...so better not

I don't think the O&M Manual recommends the use of oil additives. Maaring personal opinion nung SA. I would rather do an early oil change, say every 3000km, rather than use additives. Baka halos parehas lang ang gastos. Ang alam ko mahal ang X-1R. I have an Innova D4D using only mineral oil and so far no significant performance deviation, where previously naka fully synthetic oil ako.

Very interesting number001 and thank you for sharing. I have been experiencing rattling which I actually thought was emanating from the steering column. Suspetsa ko pa nga yung flexible disc dahil may play doon. Mapatingnan nga ito sa casa.

you also have to check that area from time to time when you wash your car to make sure the drain isnt clogged up (that can cause corrosion in the long run).

    Is this same as yours??

Also the backup or backing sensor, ok ba ang lakas ng speaker niyo nito?? kasi mine is mahina and mas malakas pa ang sound ng reverse gear position ng kambio ko eh??

Thanks and lets share some coommon ideas with our Innovas...

    Hello ka-innova,

I've been a silent reader though paminsan-minsan lang makaopen ng thread natin. I just want to seek help, yung pilot lamp natin sa adjusment ng controls ng aircon medyo maluwag yata kasi ayaw umilaw, konting pukpok umiilaw naman. May nakapaglinis na ba ng contacts ng pilot lamp sa controls?

    Thanks for the help.

    Jericho941,

I had my power window installed at Toyota Makati, i think it cost around 16k. Sulit naman siya, for 2 years now wala namang problema.

We have a lot of Toyota cars/suv/mpv in the office none has avail of this so-called aircon maintenance. Most of our units are sold after 5 years and none have availed of aircon maintenance.

Don't fix something that is not broken!

Mejo may kahinaan na rin yung aircon ko. hindi na sya ganu kalamig. Anu ang best na gawin? Palinis lang ba? Sa toyota kasi, they advise na palit na rin nung mga related-part/materials.

Thanks for the reply.. when you had the power windows installed kasama ba yung mga switches at the drivers side to operate the other windows like the passengers? Also, what did they do the holes that was left with the manual winding for the window?

What model is your Innova? Those that are released after Oct 2006 with the new honeycomb grills and full front wheel wells has already the aircon cabin filter. Maybe you just need to clean the paper filter, it is located behind the globe compartment. You just need to take out the globe compartment to access the aircon blower, the cabin filter is located on top of the aircon blower with a long rectangular lid. Dust off the paper filter and you will see a big difference in aircon cooling.

To check whether your Innova is already equipped with cabin filter, open your globe compartment and check for a rectangular sticker on the side. The sticker is the instruction on how to access and clean the cabin filter.

They have a ready made plastic cap to cover the hole of the manual window lever.

Back read this thread or use the search function to see the pictures.

Sorry to butt in. At Shark, where my PW was installed (home service * P16k 4 doors) the whole switch and control panel assembly is included. About the leftover manual lever holes, I don't know what they did with those installers from Makati but from Shark, they patched it with the same plastic material as the panel. Bro, actually it's from innovablaze installation pics, he he he. I just can't seem to find my own pics I posted here sometime in 2005. Kinda old eh. Nevertheless, it's just the same, the installation and parts. After all, it's from Shark.

Tnx bro! sa reply mo buti na lang hindi ako nagpalagay kasi its really mahal din it cost about 1,100 about the same price ng 7 liters ng mineral oil. Additional query ko lang since you mention na u used synthetic oil before wala ba big difference sa performance as compared sa mineral oil kaya you decided na mag mineral n lang. last follow up question ko bro saan mas maganda ang diesel fuel sa Shell or petron, may nagadvise sa akin na ok daw ang diesel ng Petron. Tnx again!
