hello po sa lahat.. i'll be getting my new innova possibly next week. i read that 1 immediate thing to do is secure the spare tire with chain and lock. asked ko lang po kung how long would the chain be? if you recommend a brand of both as well as place to buy, much appreciated.

I recommend getting the original Spare Tire lock from your Dealer. Irequest mo sa agent mo baka ibigay sa iyo as one of the freebies kung hindi ka pa naghahaggle. Kung hindi ibigay sa iyo bilhin mo na lang.

At last im now a member of this forum! Im from Cebu and i already ordered a variant G diesel A/T bronze mica metallic color and it will be release next week. Casa offered me free platinum tint, seat cover and floor mat. Can i ask for an advise on what shade is better, MNSR20 or MNSR35? how about the seatcover? which color(beige, white) will suit best for the interior color? about the floor mat, i guess im stucked with black color because they said it's the only color available.

Someone told me that the new car should be "break-in"? any advise on this?

*INNOVABOY: ive been dying to ask you this, what is your recent fuel consumption?

any tips will be greatly appreciated guys!

The manual says there's no real break-in period, but avoid hard acceleration and deceleration for the first 1000km.

I'm not familiar with this shop. Toyota's spare tire lock is actually a Solex. You can have a look at the original version ( it has a Toyota Logo on the keys) as against what is being sold at "miggy boy."

Does anyone here tried replacing their coolant reservoir? Mine is due for replacement but toyota Iloilo quoted me 8k++ Had to think twice..hehe Are there any replacement parts for this? or at least any source where i can get this at least half the price?

What's wrong with the coolant reservoir? It was just a plastic container and the quote was just too astronomical!

My innova was hit at the front a year ago while it was parked by an alterra, insurance covered almost everything..radiator..condenser etc, the coolant reservoir was spared kasi daw gas-gas lang, mea culpa because i did not insist at that time of replacing it.

Now, after a year, the "gas-gas" has taken its toll, medyo may leak na sa gitna, pero di naman tumatagas, i understand its pressurized kaya kahit anong liit ng leak, nauubos talaga coolant ko after a week

Upon learning of its price, medyo napa isip talaga ako, maybe there in Manila the price would be different, since nagiisa lang ang dealer ng toyota dito sa Iloilo. So, i will just first ask here about its price there in Manila before i will eventually go for it..thanks

Try calling Manila dealers for the coolant reservoir price, some of them had their contact details on their websites. If it was way cheaper here then just let them ship it to your place.

Or try finding coolant reservoir from surplus even from other car makes.

as usual, mam liv to the rescue. been loyal to toyota otis' insurance because of you. hopefully, aog is still free. hehehe

may pagka malayo manila bay. im quite sure it's either toyota north balintawak or otis. because ive read it before. pero baka namalik mata ako at manila bay nga. who am i to question mam liv? hehehe

anyway, recommendations/suggestions are still very much welcome so please keep them coming sana.

as per Wolf Manila's text to me... it's Tyt Manila Bay po... since under warranty and less than 1 year old pa lang naman ride niya that time... he had all the 4 rubbers replaced.

Parang over pricing kasi yung text ng Sa sa akin na 1000pesos per liter and synthetic oil...

If that the cost maybe i go for mineral oil na lang... I dont know the cost yet.. hehehe!!!! I just want to be sure na di ako lolokohin ng SA pag fist

if you can't haggle for the Tyt OEM spare tire lock... you can get the aftermarket ones... i got mine at Gold Cars Banawe two and a half years ago... became a victim of thieves when my ride was barely 2 weeks old then... up to this day, my spare tire is still very much secured ,although i also bought a crimpered chain with plastic insulation and a solex lock then just for added security.

greetings to all....
guyz and gals I would need your help and expert advise on this....
My engine was just newly started and been idle or leave it running for a minute or two, when I drove the vehicle for at least 3-5 minutes of driving, there was a humps, of course I need to slow down or stop, namatay ang engine ko.... I started it immediately, nagstart naman kaagad ang engine, pero I didnt like the sound as there was like hammering sound on the engine, some say parang may garalgal sound sa engine.... so I turned off the engine, and waited for a minute or two, then started it, now the unusual peculiar sound was gone.... ano po kaya ngyari sa engine?
I got a 2005 Innova J D4D M/T
