This morning kasi medyo maaraw, the compresoors switches on for 5 secs but switches off only for 5 secs din. so talagang irritating ung click na maririnig mo mayat maya. anyway tomorrow i will know whats wrong with it.

    Maraming salamat ulit.

Does anyone tried nitrogen in your tires?

    from http://www.tirelast.com/id15.html
What Are the Other Benefits of Nitrogen Inflation?

    Tires Last Longer
On the road tests show that tires inflated with nitrogen lasted longer and that road failures were reduced.

    Tires Hold Their Pressure Longer
Nitrogen diffuses thru the walls of the tire slower than air, significantly reducing tire pressure loss between inflation checks. Under inflated tires wear faster. A tire that is 10% underinflated will lose approximately 7% of its service life.

    Slows the "Aging" Process
The strength of tires are affected by oxidation, heat and pressure. Tires are weakened by the oxidation process, this process is accelerated by the heat generated from rolling. This oxidation is refered to as "fatigue" and "aging". Nitrogen filled tires had twice the life to failure in both field and laboratory tests.

" Every day we're losing over 2 million gallons of gasoline to a seemingly unimportant thing-- low tire pressure."

    US Department
    of Energy

    Better Fuel Mileage and Handling
Tires that are properly inflated roll better than underinflated tires and get better fuel mileage. Tires that are properly inflated also respond better to steering input and handle better.

    Rims and Wheels Resist Rust
Nitrogen produced by our systems is completely dry and without moisture rims and wheels are less likely to rust.

    Stronger Casings Mean More Retreads
The lack of oxidation means that the tire casings remain stronger and can be retreaded additional times for longer tire life.

im looking for a nitrogen air refiller to try, any supplier?

hi friends! im a newbie here.... been reading some threads in here since i decided to buy an Innova... actually, i'll take home mine only by November 17... well, it has something to do with company policy c",)

im getting the J Gas M/T variant... medyo kulang sa budget eh, kaya yun lang ang kaya. im thinking of dressing it up paunti unti.. got some brochure na from a friend of my dealer, pati na rin sa banaue... visited some store there but havent tried evangelista. the mags there daw are good. what i want to have for my ride are as follows (listed per priority)

    1. central lock and alarm
    2. mags (same size para di na bumuli pa ng goma... tight on budget)
    3. wrap around skirt
    4. cladding and flare
    5. rear spoiler
    6. rain gutter/door visor
    7. chrome door handle/assembly
    8. leatherette seat cover
    9. rear nudge (carryboy)

well, at least that's my order of priority.
as far as central lock and alarm is concern, wag daw COBRA... coz may "tama" daw yun... kahit Toyota dealer binabalik na nila ang cobra brand. they go for Titan and Y2K. ask ko lang, ok ba yung brand na yun? are there better brand out there? yung friend ng dealer ko, offered me 6K for it. ok na ba yun? so far, yung ang pinaka mababa na nag offer sa akin

sa mags, i saw this concept one sa banaue. offering me 18K for it. just forgot the exact variant. kaso, taiwan daw yun. hindi ba mas better ang thailand? im looking for ROTA STYLE 5 kaso daw wala na yata sa market. isa pa, 4H lang yun. may alam ba kayo na mas maganda? sa BCC, offer nila 28K for the orig Innova mags... pwede pa daw babaan to 26K. ok na ba yun?

yung wrap around, body cladding and flare, may package ang carryboy... kaso 43.5K++... may libre nang spoiler yun, pwede pang 3rd break light. i dont know if there are any other carryboy which can offer lower price, but do u know any other accessory brand na pwedeng compete/compare? yung shark kasi, walang body color eh. yung CYBERTECH naman, di ko makita sa WEB ang mga design nila.

sa chrome handle (outer/inner or assembly) medyo naguguluhan ako eh... may chrome daw na plastic. yung 8 pcs yata yung ng CYBERTECH. how true it is? di ko kasi makita image eh.

i hope you guys can give me a tip on this. thanks.

hi to everyone. we are seriously considering an innova V purchase this month. still trying to decide kung VVTi or D4D, but am leaning towards the former dahil mukhang may issues yung D4D engine.

so far, i'm seeing a lot of positive reviews for the innova, apparently value for money is the key. I also like the looks of the black innova, so its good that the V model comes in black.

will continue to view the posts and hopefully i can also give some feedback once we finally get to buy our new family car

    Welcome jerome_ph & mcmc!

    *jerome_ph

I got my alarm and central door lock for 4,500 pero dito sa Malolos yung ganung price. Autopage 315 yung alarm. The other thiskoteers will surely answer your other queries.

    *mcmc

I also got the VVT-i pero J variant lang. No regrets.

i suggest you buy a used one available at any tire/mags shop. you can check at evangelista bangkal since your from makati. bihira lang naman gamitin ang spare tire; at kung nanakawin rin lang.

by the way, paano nanakaw ang spare tire mo? pinutol ba nila yung chain? i have heard na marami na ang innova users na nanakawan ng spare tires, kaya naglagay ako ng cable lock (pang bicycle) as a supplement to the existing chain. =)

I dont know if the solex branded Toyota spare tire lock are still impenetrable against theft, but so far, it has kept my spare wheel in place.

I have seen people installing additional chains and attaching it to the towing hook in the rear.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Looking at the IMV's spare tire outlay, deflating the spare tire appears unnecessary when trying to steal it. The spare tire is attached /held up by a metal holding bracket plate to which the steel chain is attached to. This chain is rolled up and down using a tab (accessible when the trunk hatch is open). They must have a way of accessing this tab even the trunk is closed, which they use to roll down the tire.

They spin the hand winch from under the vehicle to lower it a little.

Push up on the spare a bit

Tilt the tab that where the spare hangs on to

    Spare falls to ground.

***At least that's how they do it for pick ups.

Nitrogen (IPA: /ˈnʌɪtrə(ʊ)dʒən/) is a chemical element which has the symbol N and atomic number 7 in the periodic table. Elemental nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless and mostly inert diatomic gas at standard conditions, constituting 78.08% percent of Earth's atmosphere. Nitrogen is a constituent element of all living tissues and amino acids. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen

Hindi naman po sa pagiging expert . .

I've just read that nitrogen gas are being used widely in the F1 race cars tires

read from article excerpt from: http://www.f1-country.com/f1-engineer/tyres/tyres.html

"As an additional note;nearly all Formula 1 teams uses NITROGEN for filling tyre. .The tyres are filled with a special nitrogen rich, moisture free gas to make sure the pressure will not alter depending on where it was inflated (this gas does not expand when hot) and NITROGEN holds tyre pressure for longer than air.A 20% Tyre pressure drop reduces tyre life by 15%.

add'l info: nitrogen is not flammable or explosive chemical, in fact this is also being used in hospitals (liquid nitrogen) and other industries. our atmosphere or air we breathe is 78 % nitrogen 21% oxygen & 1 % various gases (kasama na pollution dun). Basically, yung tire natin ngayun is being inflated by these same elements (air compressors suck in air from the atmosphere). so if we use dry nitrogen (99%) ironically, we just take out the 21% oxygen.

also found one supplier who does tire inflation using dry nitrogen at evangelista st. outlet is "Banados Auto Kalikot". Ps. 50 per tire (deflate & inflate)
