Thanks!
Ok, here my thing about the suspension. I dont think its the shocks its the short wheelbase that makes the ride. Matagtag.
As swordsman says
Its not for everyone, kinda like not thinking on the mainstream. Like what i said to myself the first few days of driving the jimny "Who the hell would wanna drive this!?!" hehehehe

Swordsman, Naka test drive nako my wife drove it and I can say that matagtag talaga.
niwde11, Ikaw talaga bad influence ka. Hindi pako bumibili tinatawaran mo na agad.
Max, I told my agent that if you can remove the shock then let me feel it with out the shocks installed kung malambot then shocks lang ang papalitan ko. Kung matigas parin hindi ko na bibilin yan. Hindi sya pumayag kaya nag iisip nalang ako at kinukulit ko kayo.

October 5th, 2008 12:26 AM #233Hi! Im new here. I've had a jimny for four years now and have enjoyed toying with it since I bought it. Sayang now ko lang nakita tong site na to.
Anyway, just my two cents worth, the stock springs are softer than any after market springs. It's the shocks that are too stiff. If you simply want a better ride but not after lifting your jimny, you may just replace the shocks with Old Man Emu's. The stock suspension though is good enough for light trailing.

larshell, saang dealer yan? yong mga nakikita ko walang test drive units. as mentioned above, old man emus may help dun sa tagtag. or maybe baka over-inflated yong tires. these may help, but not remedy. it would probably help if you're coming from an suv, like me. medyo lower ng konti standard ko sa ride comfort. hehe. pa-pm or post na lang yong dealer, gusto ko rin mag-test drive

Bakit kaya walang airbags yong mga dumadating na Jimny units dito satin? Sa Europe and Australia, their Jomny's have airbags as standard.

Because airbags are not mandated by the local market.
But the Jimny's here are still made in Japan as export models.

October 9th, 2008 04:57 PM #238is it worth it to buy a brand new jimny? i'm planning to use this as my everyday car for malling and for work (qc to pasay). no plans of going off-road with it yet. i'm really just after the fuel efficiency, the look and the ride height.

sunnymiss, I got a Bnew Jimny less than a month old and very happy with it.
It is easy and fun to drive. Yes it can be your daily ride specially if your driving alone but it has very small room for groceries and shopping bags. I have drove my Jimny from Valenzuela to Sucat so far so good. Fuel efficiency is no that good I only got 9km/lt but when Im in highway (Nlex and Sky way) top speed is 125kph 3.5RPM and besides I have a heavy foot.Lastly Jimny is not as tall as a Pajero or Patrol but it is definitely taller than a car.
Here is my Jimny

swordsman, Sa Suzuki Caloocan. Wala talagang test drive unit.Kakilala ko kasi yong agent ko since High school kaya siguro pina test drive nila ako. Overinflated nga yong tires pero ngayon 23psi nalang tire ng Jimny ko matagtag parin. Comparing it with my Pajero and I think kaya sya matagtag 1st is SWB 2nd coil springs on solid axle and 3rd shocks. I'm considering Old Man Emu pero I'm still thinking pa. If you are really into buying one I can give my agents number pero kung test drive lang I let you drive my Jimny when chance is given.
