    BFG's are kinda expensive. But they are good tires, nonetheless.

    I'd go with Scorpion ATR's also just like the one I have on the bigger 4x4. The ATR got the highest rating in its class according to www.tirerack.com .

    You may not be able to find ATR's in the stock size but the slightly larger 215's available will still fit the stock wheel of the Jimny with no rubbing or fender contact during turns.

    Php3k++/tire ang ATR.

    The Jimny makes a great second car. Around town, it can dart in and out of traffic and fit in the tightest parking slots. It also doesn't look like your run of the mill econobox hatchback and actually looks a bit butch from some angles.

    You may not need the 4wd for driving in the city. But you will appreciate the increased ground clearance allowing you to drive over obstacles you would not dare if you were in an Alto. You will also not worry so much about ocassional floods.

    Best of all, you don't get to see yourself at every street corner. In a week, I'd see a Jimny prolly once every other day or so only.
    I dont own an Alto but i have a friend who owns one... so far he has not encountered any obstacle in the "city" that the Alto did not go over ... its not that bad on occasional city floods a little bit higher than the ankles either... the ground clearance is quite high for a small car... not as high as the Jimny though but high enough for any city road obstacle ...its a pretty decent car for the common tao or shall we say the average citizen who can't afford any car more expensive than the Alto... but its not really that cheap either considering there are still a lot of people who really can't afford them.

    i own an old nissan sentra 1.4 SE m/t... i really dont care if its old... i dont feel anyshame driving it... i bought it cheap too.. even cheaper than the Alto... i guess it all comes down to the persons subjective well being.

    but i would agree with you about the jimny being better looking than the alto... but then again that idea is still subjective... some would say yes, some would say no... but for me i like the muscular yet cute look of the jimny... we use to own a Suzuki Carribean...(Suzuki Samurai) and my dad wanted to trade it in for a newer car and we tried the Jimny... that was when we experieced that it was not meant to be a family car... and so my dad got a Tamaraw FX...

    Finally... i realized i am on a Suzuki Jimny thread so, sensya na po.. sorry if my advice wasn't pro jimny... but here babawi po...

    Its a good 4x4 no kidding... that i know... its a suzuki so it must be good...handles very well especially on climbs and on rainy days no fear of slips when cornering(it was raining when we tested the jimny)... very good to use if your single or with GF/BF or as a 2nd car or pet car...

    Need help...

    I bought a used 03 jimny a few days ago and everything was great on the outside and interior. It had 55k on the odo and the owner was a lady. I did a mini test drive on the unit and had no problems with it. However, when I drove it home, I noticed steering shudder when I hit a pothole or when I drove on uneven roads at 30-40kph. It was very annoying.

    I had all the linkages, tie rods, shocks, bushings and alignment checked and all were intact.

    I then searched the net and found out that it's not an uncommon problem. They all pointed to the king pin bearing being worn out easily. Maybe, the owner of my unit drove her jimny inadvertently on 4x4 on pavement, which is one of the causes.

    Is there a shop in banawe that can service replacement of the king pin bearings? I plan to have it installed immediately after I buy the part. Having it serviced in the casa may take a long time.

    Can you recommend any stores or shop within the QC area?

    This is my first Zuk
