September 20th, 2008 10:27 PM #213new here.
forever crush ko 'to.i've been using a 2004 toyota altis 1.8g ever since i could drive. i'm thinking of getting a jimny (also for personal use and city driving), but i'm not sure if it's worth it. i know practically nothing about cars (the altis looks the same as the day i got it). i just know what i want--small, may height, automatic, comfortable leather seats, good stereo, matipid sa gas. so far, the jimny seems fit.
which cars can the jimny compare to? is it a good buy (brand new), or should i get a different suzuki car instead?
may ibang car ba na small and mataas, good for city driving and cheaper than jimny? i have no plans of going offroad naman. gustong-gusto ko lang talaga hitsura ng jimny

Max, You owned a Jimny pala? Bakit mo binenta? May tanung lang ako sayo.
Kung may Jimny kapa at sa Valenzuela ka nakatira at sa Sucat Paranaque ka nag tatrabaho would you use it as your daily car? That is around 45kms and 1.5hrs one way, If two way it is 90km and 3hrs of driving daily. How about the FC how many km./lt.? Thanks!

larshell
we still have the jimny, wrong grammar lang. not really good with it. I get tense with this tenses hehehehehe
It does 7 to 9km per liter(Gate type A/T) on my average 20km travel everyday
Three words I describe this little monster, mabagal, matagtag, masikip.
I guess for your describe use. I dont recommend it.
So why we have it and still have it?
Few years ago, my Mom decided to learn how to drive. So she figured this vehicle is best for her. (I was highly recommending Mazda 3! Buti na lang hehehehe)Pero got discourage when she got into an accident.
Strong Point of Jimny:
Small, with turning radius of a tricycle. We use it Everyday sa Public Market and on some occasion sa Quiapo Tundo sta cruz. Swak na swak!
High Ground Clearance, Bumabaha sa amin.
Not too fancy looking, simply lang. Just suits our simple needs in a car.
Fun Car. try off roading and its real capable!

valenzuela to makati...hmm, lots of flood-prone areas to pass. if i were to choose, i'd get the jimny
check http://clubjimnyphils.forums-free.com/portal.html too for more insights.
it's not the best in terms of fuel consumption(7-9km/li yata), but then it balances that with its high ground clearance, size and 4x4 functionality.

yeah, at that price, almost every car maker has a car to offer. so unless you really like the high ground clearance for floods, off road capability - 4x4, ruggedness, ease of parking due to small size, then its the jimny you are looking for.
otherwise, you've got in the vicinity of your budget cars like the new jazz, new city, swift, entry level civic/altis/lancer/sentra/mazda, adventure, and of course the innova
you really don't buy jimny for its fuel consumption or price or excellent ride quality. some buy it coz they fell in love with it, true love kumbaga. alam mo naman...love is blind, hehe.

Guys, I hope I'm not OT but please PM me if you know of a good Jimny for sale. 02 model up, must be A/T.
Black would be a nice color to match my current Patrol. Thanks!

ayos doc! mini patrol, though walang black na lumabas yata. mukhang pareho tayo ng balak - for daily city driving, i'd like to use the patrol, without the size of the patrol. park anywhere, drive anywhere. jimny lang naiisip kong ganun...or a pajero jr but i'm not fond of converted vehicles.
though ako next year pa magkaka-budget
Because pinoy mentality. Not surprising.
