    Gud pm, Mga Sir

I need help. Looking for Coil Spacer and Shock Spacer for my Suzuki Jimny. Dont want to spend my money on OME shock and coil. Planning to lift and installing 215/70 R15 tires any suggestion. Thanks po

Jemson din po. Forgot the price. Dami siya ginawa kasi that day pati alarm and ilaw sa footwells.

I figure 300 for labor. Yung switch 300 in itself eh. Pero you can do better if you look for your own switch. Sabi ko kasi sila na humanap, mark up na lang nila for their trouble and abala.

Yes jimny is special purpose.

Low down ang suzuki caloocan i think? Supply is dependent talaga on what comes in from Japan so medyo limited ang kulay at trim levels. But its just full of overpriced accessories.

Made in Japan pa din ang Jimny.

Medyo crappy and overpriced talaga in-house accessories. Yung 2DIN DVD/TV na nilagay ko sa Jimny was only Php9k and dun na din nagdidisplay ng image yung reverse camera (pinaglumaang camera ng Nissan ko). Also got the backing sensor online and had it installed sa black area ng bumper para hindi halata.

I'd still recommend getting the standard Jimny instead of the 'Gold' edition whatever. hehe.

Open diffs pa din ang Jimny. But so is my Land Cruiser. But its not going to be a real problem unless you go hardcore agad.

aside from wheels what are the top 3 basic upgrades that need to be done? (lifters?, snorkel?, etc)

I guess the locking differential is really only important if you are climbing a steep muddy or sandy incline. Just watching the 2012 Ranger videos on their website is really mesmerizing me... like i want a ranger then i slap myself and remember i dont do even 1/50th of the stuff on there...lol

I usually just bring a rope and another buddy to tow me out if i get stuck. Hindi naman kailangan modified agad. Enjoy it stock muna then move on from there. That way you can baseline your vehicle and your ability as a driver. Then develop as you go. =)

Recovery gear os usually the first step. Getting stuck is not a matter of if but when. Hehe

Unlike Toyotas na mayroon talagang namumuhunan dito for OEM accesories,

one time I saw a brand new APV unit to be converted to "GOLD" edition, nililiha yung butas ng dashboard
para magkasya daw yung LCD. The guy installing the LCD eh mukhang first time at mukhang pinakiusapan lang ng dealer.

Kaya i dont recommend Suzuki for people who loves to buy concorde accesories

"Gold Edition", "Limited Edition" kuno e kung ano ano lang pinagsasalpak ng dealer tapos kung makapatong sa price kala mo wala ng bukas. Di lang ako nagandahan sa new colors, lalo na yong black, parang pinapintura lang sa tabi tabi.

Ang major concern ko lang in getting a brand new Jimny, is yong shimmy/wiggle issue at speeds. Parang kahit relatively new yata may times na mag-shimmy sya? Di ko pa naman na-experience, so not sure how bad it is pag nasa NLEX. Any feedback from owners?

Pero most of the time wala naman.

*Max, long time ah. Sold na Jimny mo?

    hi larshell.

yes its been a while, but actually sa Facebook ako nagcontribute for Jimny and clubsuzukiph for APV. Hindi ko kasi maaccess itong tsikot lagi for some reason. Nag give up na nga ako. pero it seems ok na site ngayon. am having a hard time selling it actually, unless sa presyong gusto ko. Parang better pa na magdagdag na lang ng isa pa than letting it go hehehehe

Hows the mountainbiking career going? May podium finish na ba?

    ----

Jimny kasi is totally different among those characteristic but for some reason yan ang strong points nya.

This is not your typical boy band mainstream vehicle.

    -------

Btw. I find the Gate type transmission too easy to operate, my daughter can easily move the lever as early as two years old. Sobrang likot pa naman, and Jimny doesnt really have that space. Imagine sa trafficc argh! Either she controls the lever or she pulls my hair while driving. Wala pa naman akong tint hehehehe

Malakas din jimny sa gas especially considering the size. Thats the price of toughness. 7-9 in the city. Swerte nang maka 11 sa highway.

Yep. The Jimny is not designed to be an economy car. Sabi nga ni max, it's a specialized vehicle. Hindi siya designed to attract a broad, mainstream market.

Maintenance parts are not expensive since replacements are available. Maintenance wise, mas mura ang Jimny vs my Toyota LC80.

Replacement parts are also available for some engine and underchassis parts. A replacement Jimny shock absorber is in the vicinity of Php1000.00. Even a replacement Jazz or Vios shock absorber costs 3x that amount.

And the underchassis is tough, 2003 model pero wala pa pinalitan sa pang ilalim dahil ok pa naman. Even if Im not too kind on it. Sinasampa ko sa bangketa, walang stop sa lubak, etc. ginagamit ko kasing pang responde sa emergency with blinkers and all. Yung Jazz dati matulin pero slow down naman ako ng slow down kasi sasayad or masisira sa responde.

Its the body and trim parts like taillamps, hood, etc. that can be expensive on the Jimny as few replacements or surplus units exist.
