Assuming na may vaccine na available at kunwari available ito for free covered ng Philhealth or Govt, kelangan ba 100% sure na wala kang COVID or need mo ba mag pa test muna bago ka pwede mag pa vaccine?

Ano mangyayari kung nag pa vaccinate and may COVID ka pala at that time?

Redfield went on to say that a vaccine could have an immunogenicity of 70 percent, meaning that it may not work in close to one-third of people to whom it is administered.

A recent article in the New England Journal of Medicine suggested that “since masks can filter out some virus-containing droplets” but not all viral particles, a mask could act as a kind of exposure therapy, prepping the body to fight the coronavirus without actually sickening the subject.

“If this theory bears out, population-wide masking, with any type of mask that increases acceptability and adherence, might contribute to increasing the proportion of SARS-CoV-2 infections that are asymptomatic,” the article said. The reasoning behind this idea is that people wearing masks would receive a much smaller viral load than people without masks.

The comments bluntly contradicted what President Trump said during a televised town hall the evening before. “A lot of people think the masks are not good,” he said before going on to discuss how restaurant waiters “play” with their masks.

like meat and other perishable stuff

pero sobra selan naman ung mRNA vaccines

i don't think may problema sa shipping from US to PH... kaya yan

it's what happens after mag arrive ang vaccine sa PH

24 to 48 hours lang daw shelf life nyan

so from airport derecho sa St Lukes BGC no problem tapos nandun na mga tao na magpapabakuna

pero kung gagamitin ang mRNA vaccines sa less developed areas ng PH i highly doubt they can pull it off

Alam ko in Metro Manila mayrun a few very hi tech and bagong cold storage facilities dito. i am quite sure kaya nila modify yung facility nila to accommodate the storage of vaccines. its the transport to and from the airport plus the transport and storage in the provinces that will be a big problem and hindi natin kaya.

tama si uls sa provinces yung security kailagan, NPA at mga radical muslim in the south.

ultra-low temp transport and storage equipment have been available in the market for decades now.
the trick is to administer the vaccine in the fastest possible time once withdrawn from storage....

i am thinking, researchers are settling for these very-low-temp vaccines, because they do not have the luxury of time to look for another vaccine.
i am confident, later vaccines will not be as temperature-dependent.
it's just a matter of time.

How about equipping the planes with the necessary equipment for transporting the vaccines? Remember, maaaring hindi na magamit yan after all the vaccines would have been shipped.

if i am right, that vaccination should not be limited to those living today, but to include the tens of millions born every year for several years...
hindi agad ma-mothball those transport and storage equipment.

i think they are refering to the still-non-availability of an honest-to-goodness effective vaccine in the near future.
i do not think they were refering to transport and storage issues.
my thoughts.

i mean,
this is a country which placed a man on the moon, and which flew cakes for their servicemen across the atlantic during the war,
and recently, ordered a huge cargo plane to ferry just one man across the ocean.
