What does it mean that the percentage of mild cases is dropping while the critical cases are rising. It used to be that the mild cases are in the 90’s level. Its now in the mid 80’s.

Yung point ng governor is bakit daw hindi pinahintulutang i discharge ang patient after naka recover.
Baka nahawaan for the second time sa hospital kaya naging complicado.

And also, eto yung question nila:
- The two brothers w/COVID-19 confined at hospital died.
- One brother w/COVID-19 but is confined at home was able to recover.

Hindi nga lang clear if same complications yung tatlong patient para i compare sa dalawang naka confine sa hospital.
Umabot ng 5M+ yung bill ng isang patiente kaya pina check/investigate if may connection sa PhilHealth anomaly.

Public markets, supermarkets number 1 Covid sources

PUBLIC markets and supermarkets are the major sources of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) infection in Cebu City in terms of outside transmission.

Based on the data of the Cebu City Emergency Operations Center (EOC), from Sept. 5 to Sept. 18, 2020, there were 41 Covid-19 infections from the public markets and supermarkets.

This accounts for 24.40 percent of the outside transmission.

On Sept. 16, the EOC recorded nine Covid-19 cases, the highest number of cases which have been acquired from the public markets and supermarkets.

A group pushing for alternative means to treat COVID-19 may face possible sanctions for violating the quarantine, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said today.

Doctors in last week’s Flatten the Fear event, including former Health Secretary Jaime Galvez Tan, urged the government to use hydroxychloroquine to prevent COVID-19. Used against malaria, the controversial medicine has been promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump despite its unproven efficacy.


In the event, the doctors were seen speaking inside what appears to be an airconditioned ballroom sans masks. When asked why they weren’t wearing any, one of the doctors said it was not necessary because they were taking hydroxychloroquine.

Vergeire said that the event has already been flagged to the Department of Interior and Local Government, which is probing the incident.

“When this was reported to us, we were able to relay it immediately to the Department of Interior and Local Government. They are now investigating it. Whatever appears from their findings, necessary sanctions should be meted out,” Vergeire said, who also reminded that all forms of mass gatherings are prohibited.

“Second, we saw that almost all of them did not wear masks. This is a violation of the pandemic guidelines that we have released,” she said.

CDC says coronavirus spreads mainly via respiratory aerosols - Los Angeles Times

The coronavirus spreads most commonly in the air, through droplets or other tiny respiratory particles that apparently can remain suspended and inhaled, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says in new guidance.
The smaller particles, known as aerosols, are produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, sings, talks or breathes and can be inhaled into someone’s nose, mouth, airways or lungs, according to the CDC, which says that, in general, indoor settings without good ventilation increase the risk of contagion.

“This is thought to be the main way the virus spreads,” the CDC has posted on its website. “There is growing evidence that droplets and airborne particles can remain suspended in the air and be breathed in by others and travel distances beyond six feet (for example, during choir practice, in restaurants or in fitness classes).”

The CDC also said — and still says — that people may become infected by touching something that has the virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose or eyes, but that touch is not the main way it spreads.

In the guidance, the CDC website says that in addition to wearing masks, washing hands and staying “at least six feet away” from others, people should stay home and isolate themselves when sick and “use air purifiers to help reduce airborne germs in indoor spaces.” Previously, the advice was to maintain “good social distance” of “about six feet.”

The CDC and the World Health Organization have long resisted the notion that the coronavirus spreads farther than about six feet through the air, with the WHO initially maintaining that airborne transmission occurred only during certain medical procedures. But in July, under growing pressure from researchers, the WHO acknowledged that the virus could linger in the air indoors and potentially infect people even when they practice social distancing.
