I think the objective of the post was to show to the sad condition of our health care workers, in spite if the high risk due to covid, nurses are given very low daily rates and no patient no pay pal, kaya siguro 6 days lang pinasok.nya. much worse baka napapagod pa ng husto every shift kaya di kaya pumasok the next day, much much worse is ganun talaga ang agreement sa kanya, every other day lang. Tsk.tsk.. although 2x a month lang ang planchadora ko, I pay her 650 for 6 hour work day with free lunch

not sure lang kung sa nurses in their situation ay no work, no pay din sila.

Kung usapan is minimum wage at pumayag siya wala nga naman magagawa legally. Walang bawal dun.

Though human consideration pwede sana dinagdagan ng meal allowance or hazard pay man lang.

Kaso unfair naman sa St. James, baka may reaonable explanation naman sila at bakit ganun lang. Malay natin sa 26-10 na suweldo eh meron pala binibigay na ibang allowances or amelioration. Yan hirap sa trial by publicity eh. Hehe.

Kaya we should not jump into conclusions.

Yung kapiranggot nga na night diff nilagay yun pa kayang allowance. Unless hindi nila binigay in cash form para wag makaltasan ng tax.

Pero even without it ganyan naman daw talaga ang rate ng mga nurses.

Kung hero talaga tingin nila sa nurse, edi paswelduhin niyo ng malaki - kaya lang naman nagsisialisan yung mga yan kasi 8-12k ang sweldo kada buwan dito.

Yes ganun nga. Buti nga tinaasan na state nurses kaso wala pa ata budget ang government.

Private nurses tataas na din suweldo niyan if ma-implement ang sa government side if ever. Huwag lang over supply pa talaga ng nurses siguro. Sa OJT pa lang kasi alam na ng private healthcare institutions kung madami pa din supply.

Govt nurse positions, lowest salary grade is SG-15, Basic Monthly Salary of Php32,000 +plus 2,000 PERA (COLA) + hazard pay + 13th and 14th month pay + other regular benefits. I know kasi govt employee din ako.

Ang problema jan, ganyan din sweldo kung NCR ka. Dito sa probinsya, decent monthly salary yan. Sa NCR, kulang yan.

IMHO dapat yung quarantine period included sa paid work days nila. Consequence din naman yun ng work sa covid wards. If they don't get paid for that, I won't wonder any more why we have a shortage of nurses.
