Then sabi sa CNN no one knows kung ano ba steps ginawa ng Russia for the vaccine walang info.

So sa mga gusto mauna na, go ahead please.

oo nga ano! . that's the 1st time in our history a sitting president was censured by his own people. crazy!

the more sobering thought is that, whoever acted to abruptly finish the "show" is probably now making the executive decisions.

as long as a vaccine will prevent people from getting hospitalized

if a vaccine can reduce the severity of covid, the world can go back to normal

Yes that would be a perfect scenario to stop this pandemic and after all of this im sure all countries will have a future pandemic plan.

Our company now is implementing mandatory use of faceshield riding the company shuttle and probably inside the office. Is faceshield really that effective because we are already wearing mask? I wore a safety googles to protect my eyes from airborne covid virus from entering do I still need to wear faceshield what does it really protect?

^ it took sanofi to develop dengvaxia almost 20 years and yet lots of people still found it wanting...w/ scientific basis or not. the sputnik vaccine, on the other hand, has been in development for only 5 months or so and it's being hailed as the panacea by the powers-at-be and its minions. God help us all.

btw, i wonder if the anti-vaxxers will change their tune once a reliable and effective inoculation program is rolled out.

every vaccine maker is concerned about antibody dependent enhancement (ADE)

that's where a person who has never been infected with a virus, gets vaccinated, later encounters the real virus, immune system overreacts and the person dies

Regarding sa office, I've watched this news about "precooling ventilation system" kung saan ang input na hangin ng aircon eh from outside then on the other end of the room eh may exhaust. So walang stale na hangin. I hope our office adopt this kahit wala na Covid-19.

Copper will inactivate the virus daw. Copper lined cotton face masks were distributed to Hong Kong residents months before.

Only prevents you from touching your face and rubbing your eyes if your hands are contaminated

Do plastic face shields protect as well as masks? The experts weigh in - SFChronicle.com

They can reduce the inhalation of large infectious droplets expelled by a cough or sneeze by 96%, according to a simulation study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene in 2014.

The main advantage of wearing a face shield is that it prevents people from touching their faces, which could be a source of self-contamination.

    fyi.
the mumps vaccine took four years to develop.
chickenpox virus was isolated in 1954. the japanese had a local vaccine in the 70s. us fda approved their chickenpox vaccine in 1995.
a covid vaccine in less than a year is... short of miraculous.
    if it works as advertised.
Doc, wala pa din mga high-tech machine dati to develop such vaccine... siguro ang hindi makukuha lang ng tech sa pag develop ng vaccine is yung long term effect nito sa katawan... kasi it needs to wait longer to see if may mga negative effect...
