If the russian vaccine is here and our president take a shot and days later something went wrong will Russia be held accountable? or are we supposed to thank Putin.

The one Carie Lam distributed to the public is probably better than the one being marketed locally. Cloth mask but at least no vents/valves. CDC already declared valved masks and respirators to be unsuitable for the pandemic. O2 Canada is another brand that has valves. I wish the government would ban all these valved products already.

i think it's too optimistic to expect Western-made vaccines will be available for mass vaccination in December (here in PH)

even if a vaccine is approved by US or European regulators in Q4, there's still mass production to consider

i came across an article that said there could even be a shortage of vials

And people in rich countries will get the vaccine first

    "informed consent" policy.
if done correctly, no one may be blamed.

This is why some experts suggested that the vaccines in phase 3 trials should be in production by now already. Risky if it doesn't get approved, but if it does, it will greatly reduce supply issues. Governments of rich countries could pay for the already produced supply in case it doesn't get approval.

"franchise for sale" policy should make the waiting time shorter.
sometimes, the sale is approved even before the product is approved.

the longer they wait, dilly-dallying the sale, only makes the chance for profit on both sides, less....
what with the competition looming just over the horizon.

parang "first ship that reaches port" policy.
or more understandably, "the early bird catches the worm".

Ok but we're talking about billions of doses

producing hundreds of millions of doses is already quite a challenge

Didn't the US already prepaid some pharmaceutical company for its vaccine? parang in the tone of over 2B dollars. or is it just another one of trumps misguided proclamation?
if its true then most likely they will the first country to get the vaccine from that Pharma company.
