oh hey
what did is say?
kung dati you're processing around 20K tests per day and you get 500 to 1000 positives
now you're still processing 20k (or 25K) tests per day and you're getting 3000 to 5000 positives
that is NOT due to increased testing
THAT is because there are way more infected people out there right now
Pardon the language. This is an old video but still a good infomercial.
And another one:

A friend of mine nag positive sa swab test.
The result came out almost a week from testing.

Kaya tumaas ang positive rate natin is because of the RAT. A lot of businesses now require their employees to be tested. Also, those who travels between provinces are also required to be tested.

Bill Gates thinks the COVID-19 pandemic won't be over until the end of 221, even for the world's richest countries | Business Insider
"The innovation pipeline on scaling up diagnostics, on new therapeutics, on vaccines is actually quite impressive. And that makes me feel like, for the rich world, we should largely be able to end this thing by the end of 2021, and for the world at large by the end of 2022," Gates said.
yes kung hindi dahil sa RAT many people wouldn't have been PCR-tested
remember dati candidates for swab are only symptomatics and those who had close contact with positives
dahil sa RAT, madami asymptomatic na-draw out
pero it also revealed what we suspected all along --- that there are far more people infected than the official count
tip of the iceberg lang ung symptomics / hospitalized

I doubt herd immunity will happen. So many cases of reinfection everywhere.
Personally, a friend got it in May, asymptomatic, then got it again this July and got confined with symptoms. So di siya residual virus lang because the second infection was even worse than the first.

Singapore's death rate is a fantastic 0.049%. That's about 5 people for every 10,000 cases. I wonder if they are sharing their treatment protocols with the rest of the world.
