After 20Tkms of heavy use (hard acceleration, late braking with 400-500Kg on the bed) on the extended shackles my leaf springs have flattened out. Had the time to have the original shackles installed and this is what it looks like:

The upper 3 leaves are almost flat. Stubborn me, should've never loaded the rear too much with the extended shackles installed. I plan to replace the front with US made coilovers but a full custom leaf pack for the rear costs too much and the shipping cost for these is a b****.
Way I see it I have 5 options:
1. 2 or 3 AAL's - maybe the additional springs can save the upper 3 springs. I could remove the 2 overloads on the bottom. Just concerned a bit, AAL's have been known to flatten out with the sagging leaf pack in short period of time.
2. Medium duty leaf pack from ARB - quality springs but people are divided on the ride quality.
3. OEM spec 4-leaf pack by US custom spring makers - Ride and capacity is same as stock.
4. Full progressive 8-leaf pack from US custom spring makers - this is the most expensive option but will give the best ride I am told. No nasty thick overload leaves. Much better riding than stock.
5. Go local if there are any suppliers.
1 is the cheapest, 2 & 3 cost about the same, and 4 costs 50% more than 2 & 3. Anyone know a good local supplier of leaf springs?
Let this be a lesson to people who want to lift your truck. It's ok to use taller shackles if you don't tow or load much in the tub. But if you do, AAL/custom leaf pack is a much better option in the long term. The stock springs don't have much arch in them brand new to begin with.
