Guys, what is the widest tire size that we can get for our monty? The rim size is 20 & the sidewall is 50. One time I saw a monty along Marcos Highway. His/her tires were so wide. I think it was 305 or wider. Maganda din tignan. Machong-macho..I like it!
When I went to a tire & rim store, the seller told me that the widest we can get is 285 (at R20/50). May computation daw yun. I really like wide tires for my monty.
To All.
Sir Kakakuha ko lang ng monty ko last tuesday a 4x4 M/t Cool Silver
at nice ride. medyo naninibago kc it was may first mid suv.
hope na nakasama sa monty club ty and have fun with monty
any tips on how to drive 4x4?![]()
Welcome po to Tsikot.com!
How long did you wait for your unit to arrive and from what dealer po?
If you're going for 20" wheels, 285/50R20s are perfect for the Monty. 305/50R20s are going to be too tall and too wide.
Too tall - the speedo reading will be off by around 4.7%. If you're travelling at 100km/h, the speedo will only read 95.xkm/h. The odometer will also read lower.
Too wide - depending on the offset of the wheels, the tires may rub on the fender.
265/65R17 (stock) - diameter is around 30.5x inches
285/50R20 - 31.2x inches, around 2.2% difference
305/50R20 - 32 inches, around 4.5% difference
[quote=dadamchu;1335938]Good day sirs,
OT lang po.... Padaan... Wala kasi nag mention sa PMS thread kung saan ok mag pa First 1000 PMS? Any personal experiences po b? Any casa's to avoid? Also, Its it true dapat synthetic na ang required ng casa? Pwede po bang ordinary oil muna? After all papalitan ulit by 5000km? Thanks po in advance!
Boss sa Otis ako nag pa first 1k PMS i paid almost P7000 less 500 gift certificate they recommend synthetic oil kaya i dont see if they really followed the correct oil ..other dealer they used syntheticfree labor kahit saan siguro..and they have different prices..Boss im from Cavite rin
No point in doing so if you're still running the stock turbine. Your fuel to air ratio might be off if you do this, resulting to power loss.
But if you plan to raise your boost, you'll need a better fuel management system, too, that's when the upgraded intercooler will come in handy![]()

In owner's manual, specified ATF fluid is SP-3, but when I called up citimotors makati, sabi nila dexron II daw ginagamit sa monty. These 2 fluids are not the same, and since our units come from thailand completely assembled with all the fluids, baka SP-3 ang nakalagay and I don't know if these 2 diff. types are okay to mix. Wala kasi ako makita SP-3 sa auto suppy. Just wondering.
