Hello guys! Please help me decide how much will be my asking price should I sell JVC stock stereo unit on my 2009 Montero 4x2 GLS. I'm planning to replace this with JVC KWAVX816. Thanks.
just had my 15k pms. Also asked them to check my AC, because lately there are times when i need to switch it on i always heard an abnormal sound, they found out that the driving belt is loose.right now am still observing if its the only problem, but so far after the pms everything is fine.
hey!! about the flooded montys saw a lot of units there, feel sorry for the owners about their montys fate, talked one of the guy in charge and he said that the cost for restoration will be around half a million.so,how about those rides that is not covered with AOG...its really a pain in the pocket.
when i saw those montys naalala ko sabi nila oh...my gulay..pero nong lapitan ko na ay!! gulay na gulay na kasi binaklas na nila ang mga gamit sa interior as in ...wala ng laman talaga ,those engne that is really bad ibaba daw nila pero yung mga ecu papalitan yata ng bago..
I'm good either ways. hehehe. pde dito or new thread para share na din tau ng pics ng monty natin d2 para sa iba...
I'm looking forward sa EB, Photo shoot, specially sticker ng club so that we'll know who to greet even on the road. i remember napagusapan na d2 sa thread yung sticker pero parang nawala

Hi Everyone,
Please bare with us. We are experiencing delays with the launch of the club and the club kits because of the recent typhoon and the disaster it left. As you may have noticed, active members in our thread all of a sudden became quiet. Our suppliers and point persons for some items and some members of the core group were vicitims of the typhoon/flood, hence, the DELAY of our registration/shirt fitting EB. We're just waiting for them to recover and then we will proceed as planned.
With regards to a photoshoot EB, in my opinion, for the mean time that we don't have our own website yet, we can share photos here - it's easier to monitor one thread than having 2 threads right? Besides, we're all here because we love our monty's so we love seeing pics of them. Also, I'd just like to share that most of the active EB participants are photo enthusiasts as well, we spent more time taking pictures rather than actually talking![]()
For those who are interested in a photoshoot EB, please do contact me via my email/ym mic_21_ph*yahoo.com so i can coordinate with everyone else regarding this.
PS: As a reminder to new participants in our thread, please do include your name in our list here in our thread. Also, please post in english as we have lots of readers from different parts of the world (American, Singaporean, Taiwanese, Malaysian, etc). We don't want them to feel out of place don't we?![]()
Hello there, new monty owner here. I like this site, very informative..
It’s my first time to own a Mitsubishi vehicle. I’m not sure if this question has already been discussed but does the monty require a “break-in” period? Is there a factory suggested procedure on how to do this particularly on turbo charged engines?
I’m just curious because many a time I see convoys of new vehicles, Mitsubishi included, being driven at breakneck speed early in the morning along south super hiway going to Manila maybe to be delivered to new owners or just being transported to casa. Obviously , speed (engine RPM) in not amongst their concern..
Thanks in advance..

Welcome and Congrats on your new ride sir! please do include yourself in our owner's list located a couple of pages back
With regards to your question, there is a constant debate between "breaking in" the engine or just drive it like any other normal car as the factory already did the break in... drive it slow or fast![]()
^^^ I think that was edited via PP on photoshop for the HDR effect.
The driving of brand new units at 'breakneck speeds' has been in practice as far back as the 80's when Mitsubishi drivers gun it in a 7 to 10 car convoy to deter would be carnappers or 'harang' groups that may intercept them.
I was able to talk with one of them before when we had the delivery of our Gen 1 Pajero before. The order was for them not to stop for anything while maintaining radio contact within the convoy while being on the look out from the back as well as the sides and report if there is anything unusual. Kung may haharang daw, they are instructed to ram through it - better to repair a unit or two rather than lose the whole convoy.
With the new technology engines we have today, it would be very difficult for one to damage a brand new engine because of improper break-in.
Sir mic_21_ph is right. Just drive it as you normally would.
