Yup, I agree that rain away does a terrific job. I also apply it on my monty and I apply it on the front and rear windshields, front windows and side mirrors. But sometimes even if you have rain away, you can't avoid using the wipers especially when dirty water or floodwater is splashed on your windscreen by other passing vehicles.

    Thanks.
    welcome sir...
i can only vouch for what i've installed on my unit and that is the bosch brand. i am happy with it since i don't get that irritating sound and it does a terrific wiping job. plus the fact that i have tried and tested its full potential last sunday's very heavy, zero visibility downpour, more than an hour of continuous high speed wiping!

    got it. worth a try!

i know its a minor flaw but i must admit im quite irritated by this wiperblade issue on our montys. its the first time ive experienced this on a new vehicle. usually, with a new vehicle, i'm in awe of how smooooth the blades wipe...its like spreading butter! when i got my monty and used the wipers the first time, i was in awe too....as in awnobayan! (WTF)!

dont know if our front windhshield has a different coating from others thats why we experience this, or something else. haaay...i dunno

luckily, my OEM wiper performs well and smooth up to this time. i had a USTEK banana type on my crosswind for 450 a pair (from C3 Audio) and again was so lucky that it glides too well

when it comes to bosch and osram, i get my consumables at warren auto supply in benavidez mla. they have complete line of bosch products like halogens, filters, horns, brake pads and even battery.

there is one located at banawe too, it's at kabignayan street, forgot the name of the dealer but i have their contact nos. at the office. will post it tomorrow.

so sorry for the new styles and gimmicks of some SA just to close one deal. before it was their insurance schemes then now its about add ons they know for sure that those accessories can be acquired outside for a much lesser price. so for those really decided to get a monty, again have some patient and don't rush. a try for other dealers and SAs are very much suggested.

    Hi Guys,

Question... what do you think of sedona red? My first choice was white but after 2 months of waiting and hoping... wala daw... the only color available given to me is red... they said they can give it to me after 2 days... wad really disappointed since I wanted white... no offense sa red owners...

I just want ot ask you guys if meron kayo nakita na red sa daan and how does it look like... maganda ba? should I settle for it.. kasi if not and I insisted on white definitely mapapamahal na ako come august..

    Thanks

    Sir Hnda,

Marami na rin akong nakitang Sedona Red na Monty sa kalsada sir. Maangas din naman siya tignan eh. Just yesterday I chanced upon two red montys along EDSA (at two different times of the day), and found the color nice.

Honestly sir kahit anong kulay naman ng monty natin okay sa mata. Ang question na lang diyan is okay ba sa inyo yung color na yun? At the end of the day, you will be using it, so the person whose opinion counts most when it comes to colors is your own.

If one of your alternative colors is RED anyway, then why not go for the one they're offering now? On the other hand, if red isn't really one of your preferred colors, I suggest try looking for your second/third color options at other dealers.

Thanks for the inputs sir j*sto. The thing is, my wiper is not noisy at all. It sounds like any normal wiper, swish then swoosh. No problem with sound. My problem is that it is blurry when the wiper goes up, then very clear when it goes down. I might try the Rain Away option first. If there is still a problem, then I'll replace the wipers.

In my case, my first choice was truly sedona red, but for the family, it was the second choice. The family's first choice is black or gray (for them, the difference between the two is just incremental, not like the gray and black of the strada which is really different). We reserved for a red one already then sabi meron daw gemstone gray, which is the first choice of the family. Ended up with a gray unit. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter, I like both, red or gray.

*sir chng re your question on paint protection...i would refer to the above pictures regarding the shine and luster that a diamond gloss, from ziebart, gives to a black colored unit. prior to taking these pics, there was a very light rain (which means it was absolutely not clean yet that time).

Just want to ask your opinions about the muffler i just installed. I asked the guys (2 of them 1 is the owner named "Erning" who happen to work at Nodalos for more than 22 years who since have their own muffler fabrication shop located at Pacita Complex San Pedro Laguna (a lot trusted them already with their piece of work and even won on one carshow using honda civic). I already had my motrocycle and Lancer installed mufflers by them so i trusted them.

I normally see muffler add-ons DIY or welded at the end only. but i decided to have the whole muffler and they said nothing wrong with it and infact the sound it produces is even nicer to my ears. Does this affect the Exhaust system? any possible choking? or nothing i have to worry.. i got it for a very fair price and seemed to look satisfying to me.. any warranty voided by this?
TIA! by the way, bumpers and mudguards painting done at Autozone Lipa Batanggas..

just came from rain when i took this..

hi sir, IMO adding muffler would only change its sound a bit (depending on the shape) so generally no restrictions or choking will be produced. nice body colored bumper you got there

sir jpg111...your SE emblem would fit nicely (very exact fit, i would say)...it was so funny: when i saw the unpainted cladding, i noticed that there are 2 very very small curves on the far right side. and after few guesses, i thought that the designer had figured it out to fit that bottom of the SE emblem!

good pm to fellow monty owners, just want to share my thoughts about the wiper issues. i think the pollution plays a big part also thats why medyo hinde siya nalilinis and meron unwanted sounds due to oil residue na kumapit sa windshield na nilalabas ng tambutso specially sa buses n jeepneys in the metro.

Nice exhaust sir, it makes the monty more macho! I like it! by the way, we call it exhaust in this thread as requested by many during the very early pages (i don't even know what's the difference)

Oh, does it make that "trompa" sound? Does it heavily vibrates/wiggles in place (kumakalog ba)? Also, i noticed that your unit is all red.. you painted over some parts? or the SE is really like that?

    * sir revD, congrats o your new ride!!!

*sir jasto, yes sir, that's what sir mhigz also suggested, the rain away thing hehe
Hello sir Mic!.. That's my first impression din when i uploaded that photo!! oink! onik! nga!! more look of "WALL-E" hehe.. okey let's call it "Exhaust"!!

About the sound it makes, you will really appreciate it because of it's fine fart!! compared to when i still had the orig end of the exhaustpipe.. since our MS has the silencer underneath, the exhaust installed still has it's own silencer, so no "trompa" sound at all.. And the vibration, i think it's pretty normal for a diesel engine but with the way it was installed, it somewhat minimises the wiggle. they replaced the rubber with a "sapatilya" to connect the thick wrap around brace. i dunno what's it called in english hehe..

oopss it's not an SE hehe.. 4x2 only. i had it painted.

I'll try to get to the mini-EB this friday sir Mic. and might be the first Red to join the EB?.
    cheers!!

Thaks a lot sir XTO! sigh of relief for me.. and thanks for appreciating the bodycoloured bumper!

Btw, it doesn't make any "noise" sound. it has a silencer of it's own aside from the MS's silencer. The sound it makes sounds finer than the usual original pipe.

I heard that in diesel engines, even replacing the muffler would not give you that racing sound(or so i call it butas na lata sound). So its nice to put a muffler on because the sound is usually just right.. a little deeper than stock.

    Hi sir NTYcE,
Thanks for the info about the muffler and the exhaust system.. i was told about it too and you are right with it sir!
my "WALL-E" gives a fine sound when i rev even harder! bet yours even gets a very nice sound in two twin exhaust pipes!!

Btw, i just like to share the side mirror anti-theft metal frame i had installed courtesy of Genevieve Bullbar and Car Acc in Banawe st. just this afternoon. they are sticked by silicon only.. would this be enough to upset the thief and not minding anymore to steal the mirror?? they said before the thief could remove the anti-theft frame eh the car alarm will sound.. i told them even if you kick hard the wheels, the alarm would not even budge!! only when you do forced entry then the alarm will sound.. i got it for 1,100p after negotations.. together with the thailand plastic spoiler and rain visors.
