hello fellow ms tsikoteers!
has anyone here tried or had their seats upholstered by Sure Seats? Their shop is located at Motortown Alabang Town Center. Any good or bad reviews of their workmanship?
I know and actually prefer to go to SeatMate but their location is quite far from the south. I didn't know that there is this Sure Seats in Alabang until last saturday when i went to Motortown. Their price is just the same with that of seatMate's except that i know that SeatMate had acquired the machines from Kelseat and their seat fitters and seamstress are also from kelseats. I had Kelseat before on my Fortuner (early launch versions where all seats are just fabrics). I was happy with Kelseat but they had close their shop long time ago.
Sure Seats said that they had done one unit of ms and i hope he is a fellow tsikoteer. Please post pics. TIA

good day!
That looks cool bro! the way it looks, pulido ang pagkakayari ah.would you mind if you tell us how much you paid for it and how long it took to complete the well done job from seatmate? be home in a month's time, i might as well go for it. Do they have separate prices if i intend to get another color? Pure leather ba siya? or leatheret? Tia!
Mine from casa is still in the plastic bag same as yours.. hehe

Hi, i'm also satisfied with the seat cover. Nagtaas na ang seat mate, it actually costs 8.5k but they still gave it to me for 7.5k since kakilala ko yung anak ng owner, hehe. But maybe you can still haggle by citing the prices of those previous customers. It took almost 2.5 hours for the installation pero buti na lang may stock sila nung black. 4-5 days kasi na lead time kung wala sila nung gusto mong color. It's just the same price for the 6 colors available. Black, beige, blue, dark-medium-light gray. And for the material, it's Renna vinyl, US automotive synthetic leather. HTH

Dude...question....
I had my seatcovers done with the usual run-off-the-mill shop na leather seats. And they are what they are cheap but they dont really fit well.
Now to my questions, I saw the leather seat covers installed by seatmate based on your pics, they look great and i dont see any visible creases which is really really good.
Question 1. In the middle row, is the part where you have the armrest zippered up? I had mine zippered up, but when i feel like riding in the back i would like to use the armrest with cup holder. What they did with mine is the zipper starts from the back going to the front so i have a hard time unzipping in which i already wrecked the zipper.
Question 2. In the last row, when we fold down the seats to accomodate say for example golf bags, groceries, etc. etc., there is supposed to be a wooden flap that makes it sort of a bridge between the seat folds (when unfolded). I am sure you get me, if not try giving your monty a look see.
Is there provision to bring out those wooden flaps? or did you abandon it altogether? I would prefer having mine as an option just because if you fold over your seat, and not have the flaps and put stuff in the back, it will dirty up the seat cover, possibly get scratched and what not. and might dirty up the head rest.
Question 3. When you fold the last row seats, does the seat cover stay firm? No creases? No misalignments after the folding? I ask this coz the ones i have (i know they are crappy) get misaligned after i use the cabin space with folded seats. In the pic you have, they look stretched pretty nicely. Does it stay the same when you fold/unfold the last row seats?
This will help me out in deciding which upholstery shop to go to. And inadvertently help other peeps from this forum too.
Thanks Kanuto...btw... pics will help too

i lost my reply ah..do it again..
Thanks for your share kanuto! it was a big help indeed..i have an offer from a friend who works at SFM Batangas. She will send me details and photos. The shop is in Lipa, and one in San Pablo. It's a staggering 12k for a MS but negotiable.pedeng bumaba daw but they said it's worth the price but i don't know.
They just did one for an Outlander at 9k which receives accolade when it was presented on a car show (no infos). But i have to see myself how the stiches were sewn and if and how they can manage to do the 2nd row armrest/cupholder. she said it looked like a natural fit upholstery and not just plain seatcover, creases are not present as well. And i still have to figure out what kind of material they use for this.
Based on those guys, posted here, who had their seatcover done, one by seatmate, seems to be guarantteing a job well done by the looks of it. and at a reasonable price too..
I always bear in mind what sir NTYcE said. We have think of a creativity which will differ one from the others if we have to decide a seatcover change. kaso i don't have any idea of what design is better.. ang ganda kase ng sa SE eh..hehemaybe others who havn't posted yet will post their finished design done on their MS soon
