The one beside the battery is the glow plug relay (and the accompanying distribution system).

Are you sure the noise is comming from there? If the noise is persistent after starting the engine, it could be the magnetic switch that engages the starter which is having problems.

The exact name of this part escapes me. Having the vehicle checked would be a good decision.

Yup the sound is coming from one of them. Will have them check over the weekend. It clicks when you turn on the glow plugs and stops but when you start the engine it starts clicking again around 3-5 times then stops again.

Hi FM, Yup. You described the lower cost glow plugs precisely. Now I found out that the ones that failed me are of the same type. In any case, i got my Paj last year lang and i have no idea how long theyve been installed. In any case at Php450 a pop medyo bearable na rin ang price.

Yes it will. The question is, by how much.

The 3rd row seats + bullbar are both heavy items. I'd hesitate to put a figure on it pero guesstimate is around .2-.4km/L (dont quote me on this )

Im basing this on figures with my old paj where i removed the front facing 3rd row.

For me ok na yung 2. Frankly, although functional, mine is just for show. I mean, sisiw naman saki to fling the Pajero around like it was a Honda Jazz.

If you install a ultrasonic sensor near the spare tire, yup, it may give a false reading as the emitted waves may reflect from the spare tire.

The solution is to insall them at the bumper enders.

And just a piece of brotherly advice.... dont punch holes in your bumpers r.u.s.t.

Could that clicking sound be the glowplugs? Thanks!
Clickey sound comes from the glow plug relay situated near the batt as otep described. The glow plugs resemble the spark plugs (from the outside) of a gas powered car but connected in parallel by a piece of metal.

Hi PK/Promdiboy, I got confirmation from eldorado (filinvest) that they are selling 450/piece glow plug. The 1050 price Glow plug is Japan-based while the 450 is Local OEM part. By the way, I installed surplus oem Intercooler temp sensor two weeks ago and still working. I got it from sidewalk technician in Banawe near Motorcraft. I got it for 500 pesos. I recalled na "rekta" na yun intercooler mo so the fan is working fulltime, you might over used it.

I really dont mind as long as its oem besides you could almost get three locals for the price of one imported plug (1300 na yung japan, new stock siguro)

    Sarap ng bagong plugs!!!

thanks for the advise sa back up sensors. audiovox na brand nalang kunin ko.

once palang ako nagpalit ng glowplugs ko. mas tumagal yung local oem ko, compared sa orig plugs ko. still no hardstarting. :car:

has anyone replaced their belts? all stock pa kasi yung belts ko. I'm nearing 60k maintenance. dapat na bang palitan lahat?

napansin niyo ba dati 1,200 lang orig filters natin way back 99. ngayon 1,600 na piankamura from motorix. parang good idea na magstock ng marami.
