Automatic in 4x4 - Performing at 6-7k/L, driven from Fairview Quezon City to Alabang (Commonwealth-Edsa-Slex) 3x a week. Using Bioexceed mix: 1li:full tank.
4x2 a/t city drive from QC to makati and back - latest computation was 6.7km/L. gas used was from shell katipunan in front of la vista.
personally, i don't experience the vibration at reverse.
although maraming kalampag sa akin with all the bad roads i pass through (argh, lang wentang barangay kapitan yan, taga-dun na nga, di mapaayos yung kalsada), and i'm pushing 76T kms na. :D
a casa checkup would cost about 10K, give or take a few thousand. it's to be expected din naman kasi with parts (fluids), big car eh. heheh ;)
medyo madugo iyong casa visit ko. he he. especially inabutan ako ng 12% vat. dapat sana iyong regular 40T/km check up mga 15k lang (3k dito ay labor and the rest are the replacements of the consummables, i.e., oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, oil, atf, power steering fluid, coolant [draining ng radiator], brake fluid). Pero the service advisor discovered na manipis na iyong lahat ng brake pads at malapit nang kumain sa rotor. thinking na medyo delikado kung iyong brakes pa ang hindi ko ipapagawa, ipinaayos ko na. at the end of the day, i coughed up 25k. the only consolation i have is my peace of mind that all parts are authentic and originals (i hope so) and kung pumalpak sila, madali silang idemanda at magbayad dahil malaki naman silang kumpanya. he he.
Pasingit mga pips, Baka may nakakaalam sainyo kung saan may magaling tune-up ng 6G72 payado kasi and yong trany nya lakas ng shift shock help naman mga pips. Thanks!
larshell, try niyo po si sir joseph atotubo, 09178405942, magaling siya with pajeros. methinks yung shift shock just needs new a/t fluid?
ac, yung fx seats, diba may parang clamp sila to hold it down to the floor? secure ba siya?
atty, magkano inabot nung brake pads niya?
nugundam,
mga 10k including labor ang inabot dun sa brake pads. i just hope tumagal naman ng mga ilang taon ang mga iyon, hindi naman ako mabagsik sa preno e.
where is the best (mahusay, mabilis at mura) accessories shop para sa pajero? iyon bang hindi ka kakabahan habang tinatanggal nila ang bawat turnilyo ng sasakyan mo na para bang hindi nila alam ang ginagawa nila. he he.
I have my rigs serviced in Motorcraft. Di ka kakabahan sa service. Magaling at di manloloko. Reasonable price also.
I stop going to the casa after the warranty period expires. What I do is I get OEM stuff from El Dorado (oil/air filters, brake pads, etc) and have the PMS done by Motorcraft. Be there early as the lines can get rather long.
Owners name is Robert. Phone number is 02 4148633. By the way it’s on the left side of Quezon Ave if you’re coming from the Nagtahan side of the city.
MGA KAKOSA!
Vibrations during reverse/Drive (while stopped) are caused by deteriorating Transfercase Support. P1000 sa Eldorado. Kaya DIY.
*atty
Madugo talaga mag maintain ng kahit anong auto pag sa casa ;)

hi pajero experts,
im a proud owner of a 2004 pajero 4m40 fieldmaster 4x2. I have approx 15k km logged into it. Ever since the break-in oil change, i have been using the fully synthetic motor oil from diamond motors q ave, and shell dieseloline. After the 10k oil change, at the 12k mark, i noticed that it tends to puff out black smog every time i try to step on the pedal to accelerate. i am now scheduling a 15k km check up. what seems to be the problem? should i change my oil? or should something be cleaned? hope to get your views and suggestions.
larshell: yup! basta pajero, he can do it. :D
flickserve: welcome po to tsikot.com! and about the smoke...it's actually unusual. 15Tkms pa lang, and you're on synthetic oil and shell diesel. any other unusual things from the engine like hard starts during the morning/hesitation to pull when running/etc?
oh, and saan yung shell do you gas up?
pajerokid, saan ba yung transfercase support na yun? :D
nugundum93, Taga Paranque pala sya mukhang magaling nga sya. Nagpapayo sya sa phone di tulad ng iba kelangan dalin mo agad yong unit mo.
Nugundam, thanks for your feedback. Actually, besides the black smoke, la naman ibang problems like those u mentioned. i normally go for the shell station at e-rodriguez senior cor d. tuazon.Originally Posted by nugundam93
flickserve, actually black smoke is common to most japanese diesel engines when subjected to hard accelleration. Key here is learing to drive smoothly. With mine, i rarely go upwards of 2500rpm. True mabagal, but walang smoke and fuel efficient pa hehe.
Also, try changing your Air filter. a clogged filter means less oxygen for combustion.
