hirap tuloy mag-overtake ngayon. hehehehe. the tranny wants to downshift, upshift, and stay in same gear ALL at the same time. LOL!
Palitan mo na kaagad yung ATF mo. Dont prolong it. Baka madamage yan. Also dapat yata di lang drain and replace yan. There are certain shops that vacuums/sucks all the ATF out of an AT tranny para sigurado na linis lahat. A simple drain will not totally take out all the ATF.

If I remember correcty Autotechnika along Commonwealth provides this service.

Got a pair of rear OME schock at RATS Katipunan for 10,800 inluding installation. No service charge though i used my card. Sudden improvement on my rear suspension feel without the usual wallow ride. Pero I feel the front is starting to give way too, making the boaty ride at front more pronounced this time. Will save some more for front OME shock soon. Rear schock sensor was placed and tied on the side, the indicator at the dash is just plain visual attraction without function.
By the way, I saw two items there that interest me most:
    1) OME rear coil spring - Anybody tried this aftermarket spring? Any feedback please.
    2) Finer Filter - Is there any advantage using this beside its re-usable.
There is another 4x4 shop inside the compound and selling K&N filter (and other stuff like aftermarket brake parts and bilstein shock) at higher price than Finer Filter and claiming that KN is lot better than Fine filter - Any feedback here too.

    sir,
i'm saving up for the set of 4 OME shocks. 21K yung quote saken. nagleak na yung 4 shocks ko.
i saw the OME coils also at rats. for sure it'll improve the ride, ang ayaw ko lang is meron lift ng almost an inch. mas gusto ko sana kung stock height pa rin.
the finer filter looks good also, washable pa.

    ATTY, Welcome.
In my case it's different. I learned the site after I bought my FIELDMASTER.
If I got hold of the site earlier I should have not bought a Pajero. Joke lang.

After driving it for more than 2 years I found more reasons to keep it.
Enjoy your great ride and the amazing people of TSIKOT.COM. WELCOME...

    thanks everyone!!!

question lang. I am experiencingthis abnormal vibration na parang pumapalya ang makita ko kapag naka reverse ang gear. Isip ko nga baka transfer case support pero bakit sa reverse lang? anyone who experienced the same problem? insights lang po. thanks again.

just like atty, nakabili rin finally ng 2001 fieldmaster. ask ko lang po what are the necessary things to do first aside from the paper works.. the unit is 70K mileage na po.. is it due for timing belt replacement?.. nawala na kasi ng first owner yung user manual kaya nangangapa pa ako.. thanks to tsikot.com...

Welcome Zenon. Pajero 2001 Fielmaster has timing chain instead of the timing belt. A chain is more robust than belt and not necessarily require replacement before 80K km as most belt driven car do. I supposed the belt lifespan is significantly longer than belt and would only require a replacement if it becomes too noisy. You might want to look at the following list for checking if need to be replaced:
    1) Brake pad and disk (check and replace if necessary)
    2) Engine Oil and Filter (replaced immy) including air filter (visually check if usable).
    3) Fuel filter (I replace this every year)
    4) Transmission fluids ( i follow 20K km drain/replace frequency)
    5) Power steering fluid (I follow 40km drain/replace frequency)
    6) Greasing of joints (I read there are 11 grease points)
    7) Underchasis parts if needed based on your suspension and steering response.

    Congrats with your new ride.

Thanks field master. tahimik pa naman ang makina.. hintayin ko na nga lang mag 80K before replacing timing chain. So far wala ako complain sa under chassis, wala pa kalampag pero i might as well have it grease the joints. yung brake pads according to casa record nag replaced 2003. siguro filters and oil and fluids lang muna uunahin ko. thanks again field master.

    johnart,
mine is 2001 filedmaster, aquired Oct. 01, a/t, 4X2, 70K milage. Nabarat ko ng 820K.

pag nagkaluwag sa time siguro i might attend the pajero clan EBs.. for a new pajero user i need all information i can get from EBs.. thanks again.

    congrats xenon!

when I got my unit, brought it to diamond motor sa valle verde. kasi nga hindi ko pa "kilala" iyong kotse ko, so hindi ko pa alam kung may mga sakit na siya. anyway, nakapakasariwa naman ng itsura at ang mileage ay 39k pa lang. when i had it body washed and under washed, bilib nga iyong nag huhugas kasi parang bago daw sa ilalim. anyway, since 4x4, A/T iyong sa akin nakuha ko ng 875k from the asking price na 915k.

as i said, i brought it sa casa for a general check up (40km check), pinalitan lahat ng fluids plus the other usual replacements. my interest is for these people, who presumably see pajero everyday, to tell me if there is anything unusual about my car.

when i told them about the unusual vibration during reverse, they adjusted idling pero may konti pa rin eh. i guess, i have to consult the in-house pajero expert. he he.

hope someone could throw his opinion on my little problem. thanks.

hi atty, congrats too on your new paj. if i may ask how much ba inabot ng pa checkup mo sa casa at anong mga parts pinalitan? medyo alanganin na kasi ako sa casa dahil sa experience ko with my civic. sana hindi lahat ng casa ganun. gusto ko rin sana 4X4 kaya lang napakadalang na sa 2000 model and up. anyway satisfied na rin ako sa 4X2 kasi city driving lang naman ako.
