jadm72, heres a pic if you remove the front cover, yan yung motor for forward and reverse, then yung 2 blue wires with white socket na connected sa module ang kailangan mo lagyan ng power, reverse polarity mo lang para magreverse. kung saakin nangyari yan and di ko na talaga maremedyohan, I would buy a single power window switch and mount it beside the ashtray, tapos relays nalang para sa motor, it wont cost you more than 1k, (500 for a switch and mga 5 relays siguro 100 each) ang problem lang na nakikita ko yung cutoff ng motor pag sagad na sa rails di na gagana, kaya pag huminto bitaw na agad sa switch. or wag mo isasagad sa both ends, hth

BTW, over the weekend, I opened up our Gen2 na 4d56, yung air filter nya na stock has the white fins. Tried to separate the white fins from the filter, and hirap tanggalin, parang naka-mold. So the question is, do I need to mold the white fins firmly on the KNN filter?

Thanks for the suggestions and pictures. Natakot nga ako dahil dapat terno sa Orig upholstery kung papalitan ng manual seats.
I finally opened the panel, although difficult at first as the seat was stuck in the pushed back position. I took out the black switch box (at the side) just to check if I can clean the contacts. Upon further inspection inside, there were three ball bearings (spring loaded) inside the housing to guide the levers. One was out of position. (Tip: I worked on top of a clean scratch paper to see all the parts coming out)
I cleansed the inside of the switch box and sprayed contact cleaner ( 3M Tartan:for Audio/ Video inside the switch modules. Pat Dry yung excess cleaner with tissue.
When re-assembling, it was a bit tricky as the ball bearings needed to be in place before you can put pack the switch module.
It was unfortunate I could not take pictures.
The switched now work perfectly, parang Orig. (Hingang malalim).
Hope this helps others who may encounter the same problem.

jadm72, nice work bro, mahilig karin pala mangalikot, its nice to know na meron na rin ako pwede matunungan paano manira,medyo may idea na ako sa spring loaded na sinasabi mo, medyo similar din yata sa power window switch, naipit narin kasi passenger side window switch ko, di ko pa nakalas yung switch ng power seats, ngayon may idea narin ako, sarap ng feeling pag nakaka tipid sa DIY. kaya minsan pinaglalaruan ko yung seats (reverse yung ngaloko saakin) and passenger window ko just to remind myself DIY ko to, hehe
flicker, ayan na nagkabukingan na ng idad,batch kaw si ako, bro medyo busy ako kanina wasnt able to send the fins, nasa car ko na di lang napadala will try uli mamaya, same nga ng airbox gen 2 and gen 2.5. ito nga sana gusto ko muna malaman kung papasok fins bago ako bibili, but based sa pics mo tingin ko swak siya, im almost 99.9 percent sure na pasok yan. same diameter naman, no need to glue the fins, it should fit snuggly sa outer rim ng filter, yung mga unang labas na oem filter na japan made pa, with the translucent colored fins hindi naka dikit natatanggal talaga, nagsimula lang nakadikit with silicon na yung fins nung local oem na siya, ito yung white fins. dati kasi 1800 pa yung orig japan filter nung naging local oem 1,200 nalang,

PB, tama ka nga, the air filter element intalled on our Gen 2 is Local OEM so naka silicon sealant yung white fins sa element. I'll just try to fit the fins dun sa K&N as soon as I get it. Thanks.

pajojo it really depends on your budget, how much are you willing to spend? ano gusto mo ikabit? boses lang or bass head ka? ang budget meal installers na sikat are jeff tan of araneta car accesories and sun X. yan dalawa ang sikat. DIY lang sound system ko, nagbasa lang ako sa KAC (kotse audio club) www.kotseaudioclub.com doon lang ako natuto. a word of warning lang bro, beware of the "upgrade itch syndrome"pag tinamaan ng kati nito, butas bulsa or pwede ka mapalayas ni misis.

usually diesel engines that go blowby are a result of abuse or lack of proper PMS for the engines, when i sold my 13year old 4d56 gen2 pajerowith 95,000kms, it was still very good, this was a result of good PMS schedule and use of good synthetic oils that kept my pajero in good condition despite the abuse it took from my occassional offroading.![]()
sir kcboy, thats the weird thing with our gen 2, over TLC din ginawa ko sa gen 2 pajero namin,way back 95 classy pa ang pajero gen 2 noon, transition namin form gen 1 to gen 2 super ibang iba, ang luxurous ng gen 2.kaya todo inalagaan ko din. oil I used was also synthetic mobil delvac and mobil 1 fully synthetic and oem filters lahat gamit ko. at 99k kms sa nlex bumigay siya habang tumatakbo. kaya napaoverhaul agad. ngayon nasa more than 200k kms na gen 2 namin, mukhang kumakain na ng langis.
PB, I finally got the white fins for the air filter element. Installed it and used it. The whistling sound went away and the improvement in the acceleration is quite evident. Although the fit is a bit loose, I think it serves its purpose quite well.
