Probably depends on how often we charge (coz of my schedule). I just do it once a week. Prob should have done the daily charge. Botchi santos (who underwent a seminar from ctek) does a daily charge with his cx3.

I went to Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS 2018) in Worldtrade Center earlier this week, there is a Panasonic booth there. If i remember correctly, their start-stop battery costs around 10-11,000 pesos.
If anyone could confirm it and if its compatible, that would be great.
The 2yo hobo motolite battery we have is now going 3 yrs. Weekly charging only. I started using ctek on this battery only this Jan 2018. Car is a garage queen, used only 2 to 3 times per month.
I also do a weekly charge on my M3's oem efb batt. I rarely use the istop feature due to the horrendous daily standstill traffic conditions. I'm hoping that with ctek the batt would last up to 3 years (at the least). Yeah it's frustrating that there's limited options where to buy quality efb battery. It's an expensive maintenance cost. I was under the impression back then (after reading past posts in this forum) that Amaron Pro 1SM can be a replacement if you don't need to use istop. I should have known better...
Btw doc, did you start using ctek right after you bought your M3?
Those who might wanna save their grilles from drilling for LTO plate install, you have the No-Drill Plate Relocator option for the M2 DJ, '14-'16 BM3 & '17+BN3. Please PM here or email satravajante*gmail.com for details. Thanks!

Mine's a daily driven averaging around 30-40 KM per day. Weekly charging. Got the ctek a week after purchasing the M3. I think my habits with regards to power consumption may be the culprit. 2 phones always on the charge (1 for waze the other for calls), parking sensors always on, headlights always on auto, plus a dashcam (mini2), cabin lights on when doors are opened. I am still trying to reach OVTph regarding the delkor battery however not getting any reply. Probably I may have the wrong number, will probably reach them thru FB as well.
Anybody here had problems with the magnetic clutch of your a/c compressor? After all the diagnostics done to find the cause of my M3's squealing problems they're suspecting it might be this one that's giving my mazda 3 issues (a year already)![]()

I don't think the power consumption should be a concern as long as the car engine is running and it's not using istop. The electrical power is supplied by the car's alternator instead of the battery when the engine is running. If istop is activated then the battery takes all the burden of supplying power to the car.
The daily short trip coupled with heavy traffic can be a culprit on shorterning the battery's life. The battery will not get fully charged by the engine's alternator during a short drive. That's why ctek would recommend using the charger on a daily basis if the car is seldom used or if driven on short distances only. Question is what distance is considered as a short trip? Perhaps less than 10 or 20km?
I drive 70km daily. Charging my M3's efb battery on a weekend takes about 2 to 3 hours most of the time. For another car that's used once or twice per month, it takes about 4 to 6 hours to fully charge it with ctek
There is a FB group called Mazda3 Skyactiv Club PH. Perhaps there are folks in that group that have some experiences with using inexpensive batteries as replacement for the efb type. My concern with the delkor supplier is that they may have only a limited supply of batteries.

Perhaps the local Amaron distributor is selling this type of battery for a per order basis:
AMARON DURO EFB Q85 (For Mazda Start Stop) — Amaron Battery Malaysia
UPDATE: As per inquiry from Amaron Battery PH thru FB, they're selling Amaron Hi Life DURO 90D23L/Q85 EFB for istop vehicles.
Btw, how much is the Yuasa batt from the casa? I reckon it's more expensive than the Motolite EFB type.
Panasonic Q90, Delkor Q100 are both better spec'd & priced than the Motolite EFB. Yuasa is among them known nippon ones. If Amaron can bring theirs in, the merrier. Good competition should help stabilize or drive the prices down....if the USD behaves.[emoji4]
