Its gotten silent here all of a sudden. Time to break the silence.
Ako po uli, hehe. How do we achieve optimal fc po with our M3s? Per experience with a CVT honda, I maintain rpms of well between 1k and 2k, i'm trying to do the same with the M3, however, after a full stop and trying to rev to at least 1500, I notice that the acceleration is very slow, so I end up, pushing the accelerator harder.
Any tips on this?

Skyactivs did not need CVTs to be efficient. If you wanna optimize economy, there's really no secret....don't be leadfooted & avoid static traffic. Let the FC gurus here like Altuy chime in.[emoji4]
Now, if you want better throttle response, more HP & Torque w/o that FC penalty....I highly suggest grabbing yourself a custom OrangeVirus Tune + their amazing throttle map combo. Your smile will be a constant wide grin. Call +639174726847 for details.[emoji4]

Pretty much the same approach with any car: smooth/moderate acceleration/braking, try to keep your rpm around 2000-2500, keep your tires properly inflated, less car load, avoid very cold aircon temp settings, coast your car whenever possible, plan your trips to avoid heavy traffic.
So far my M3 2.0L engine's FC is around 8km/liter when driving with those rpm range I mentioned. My average daily speed is 13km/hr, from Commonwealth QC all the way to C5 BGC. Despite the horrendous traffic conditions (2 to 4 hours travel time one way trip), my M3's FC is much better than the other old 1.6L sedans I use before.
At least 2000 to 2500rpm should give the M3 good FC with moderate acceleration and driving pace. Not too fast or slow. It's within the "goldilocks zone" imho [emoji16]
Sad news for those planning to tweak their infotainment systems, if your HU's version is 59.000.502 or higher, autorun from the usb is no longer enabled.
Looks like we really have to wait for the android auto update for our HU's.

The Mazda AIO took advantage of the insecure USB autorun for installing the software. This is a serious security issue with the old Mazda HU software which was resolved on v59.00.502 (that's a good thing for majority of Mazda owners).
It's still possible to install Mazda AIO but requires some technical knowledge with running linux commands and a usb-ethernet device connector. Reading through the guide it's actually easy to do (I work daily on Linux operating systems), but I'd rather wait for the official "secured" software release update from Mazda.
Our Subie has Carplay/Android Auto and medyo nakakainggit. Obvious na outdated na ang HU UI natin and I really hope that Mazda releases an official update. It has to be compatible with the center console controls though. I rarely use the touchscreen on my 3 because I prefer using the control knob.
Politics, protection of corn farmers & its lobbying may be the primary reasons for the ammendments in the US Clean Air Act way back '90s. Though there is no visible intent to reverse, the lobbying remains...
Ethanol Producer Magazine – The Latest News and Data About Ethanol Production
Now, lemme throw you this question: WHY did Ph, not a corn growing nation, follow the US?
Do you know we have to import ethanol to blend w/ petrol since our ethanol production from sugarcane and molasses is currently not enough?
In 2015, 8 ethanol plants with a combined capacity of 222 million liters (58.65 million gallons) were operating to produce 168 million liters of ethanol, up 46 percent when compared to the 115 million liters produced in 2014. Still far from enough. Still importing.
Ph fuel ethanol imports, reached 339 million liters in 2014, fell 8 percent in the last Q of 2015, reaching 311 million liters. Imports from the U.S. fell by an estimated 28 percent, from 246 million liters in 2014 to 178 million liters in 2015. That year, the U.S still accounted for 57 percent of total fuel ethanol imports, down from 73 percent in 2014.
Back to the question.....WHY???? Conspiracy theories will connect these 2 facts: Ethanol production is big business & our congress is packed w/ 'geniuses'.[emoji17]
And, you know why Blaze has no ethanol? Coz Ramon Ang, a mech engineer, collector & enthusiast, knows what his cars won't need.[emoji12]
