Yes that already happened to me and my Starex. After I had it carbon cleaned, the guys at betan did not fasten the intake manifold hose tightly (hose after intercooler going to the throttle body) so air pressure was leaking. If there isn't enough air compression that's the symptom - mabagal ang speed vs. engine rpm. Then out of my frustration kasi mabagal yung speed vs. rpm. hinataw ko sa C5, I heard a loud BLOP sound - natanggal yung hose right after the intercooler - cause: not tightly fastened. So I put it back tight, tightened the hose clamps, then hataw na naman.

Check mo na lang if your hoses are all intact - no cracks, no leaks, tightly fastened hose clamps.

rodski, sorry to hear about that problem. all i can say is that it must be frustrating to go to the casa and not get a credible answer. they're supposed to be the experts and they certainly charge accordingly. .

i used to have rpm problems with my toyota corolla, and i think i know enough that if the rpm is going up and there's no reciprocal response in movement, then the problem is probably not about the fuel going into engine. jaeger's post sounds more plausible. hope you're able to find solution.

news on my Carnival is that the white smoke or any visible smoke has disappeared while idling. of course i can't say the same for when i'm running but i certainly don't see any on the mirror. this is great since i've brought down the bd mix to 10%. just another 30 liters more and i'll go to 5%. matagal pa nga lang kasi my daily route is just 9 km and ang tipid ng Carnival.

and i'm getting my P42k refund from the bank on monday, heehee.

guys, one more thing. my front bumper needs a new paint job. KIA QA quoted P2,500 and Wheels quoted P3,000. kailangan ko pa bang magtanong pa ba sa iba? or is the Kia QA price good enough?

is seiring corp ok to deal with? i talked to a certain marina nuyda. sino to? if i order from her, i have to deposit kasi first. ano feedbacks nyo dito guys?

    thanks
I installed a 5 channel alpine amplifier located under the driver seat, plus 8 inch kicker sub placed in a box transferrable either placed at the rear, or placed in between the driver and front passenger seat. But in your case, because you have rear bench type like the auv- revo, adventure, pwede na sa rear. The existing speakers can handle the extra power from the amplifier. Thus, the speakers and HU are OEM. Yung sa sedona kasi, front speakers are 6 inches plus separate tweeters at the top of the dashboard, and 6x9 speakers for the rear. I wanted to install my extra jbl speakers with separate tweeters na tinanggal ko from my pajero, but the accessory shop suki ko said to install it means we have to cut a hole on the side of the interior and he says as much as possible, ayaw niya magbutas.

hindi na ako makahabol sa discussions. ang bibilis niyo! hehehe..

natutuklap ang top coat ng hood scoop ng carnival namin. me naka-experience na ba sa inyo nito? engine heat probably is the cause. being diesel and turbocharged pa.

as far as i can remember, 2800 ang bili ko sa dunlop rv501's ko sa princess tire supply in evangelista bangkal makati. free tire balancing. last january pa yun. nagtaas na ang presyo ng gulong.

another thing, H4 lang ang headlights ng carnival.

seiring -- placed an indent order for a crdi fuel filter to a certain jun there more than a year ago. he whipped out his camera and took several photos of the filter in my engine bay. he got my contact numbers and told me that he will get in touch with me after they have gotten the price for the part. i followed him up many times over three months. nada. i haven't heard from them since. didn't go back there again either.

leolop:: Is the price quoted by Kia Quezon Ave for painting the whole front bumper only, without any dent repairs? I am also thinking about getting my front bumper repainted, as it has gotten into a few scrapes with tricycles and big rocks and such. And sorry, I wouldn't know if the price they quoted is reasonable, as I've never had a whole bumper repainted before.

benchph1:: Sa 2002 Sedona, H7 na yung gamit na headlight bulb.

bisoy::This is the explanation I found on the Osram web site about headlight bulbs:

Car models differ in the kind of lamp sockets they use. When you’ve found your lamp type, you have to determine the suitable lamp category for the sockets used in your car (e.g.: H1, H3, H4 or H7 depending on car model).
This is how an H4 looks:

While this is an H7, which has two connectors at the base instead of three. It is also smaller than the H4:

h4 is the most common type, AFAIK. Most probably kung single lens ang kotse mo, same frame kung low and high beam, h4 ang gamit. h7 like in the sedona, the high beam is separate reflectors than the low beam, therefore the filament in the h7 is single only, while h4 bulbs if you look closely, has 2 filaments. For example, pag high beam mo, pundido, pero kung low beam, meron, check out your bulb, putol na ang isang filament.
