Bro, you won't notice the difference if your tread is still thick and aligned that leads to even wear inside and out. Either you have a tread depth gauge or when your tire is worn out is when you can better determine if through tire wear, if you are underinflated or overinflated.

ever since we bought the van, i always maintained 35 psi on all tires. i add 2 psi for the spare.

since were talking about tires, pansin ko yung spare ko nagmarka na yung steel bar sa sidewall. naka-korte na talaga. its because of the heat i guess? malapit kasi sa main muffler yung spare. how bout you guys?

    Hello Guys,

I maintain my tires (Dunlop lemans RV) to 38psi cold. At 35 medyo underinflated ang dating. This is my second set of Dunlops so tantiado ko na ang ride and feel at that tire pressure. Sa long drives (highway) ok din ang 38 dahil pag uminit ang goma it will reach 40psi.

    tnx

Hindi ba masyado matagtag pag 38psi? I have the same tires (as recommended dito sa forum) which I bought last Nov 2005 and I keep mine at 34. Tama nga it looks underinflated at 34 but for me its a smoother ride pero I just might consider your recommendation given that this is already your second set of lemans RV.

BTW, my ride is a 2002 Carnival Park II - two-tone black and silver.

It's nice to be back in the forum, it's been a while.

Yup, mine has indentations from the tire carrier too. I've thought about keeping the spare at a lower pressure to minimize this, since I carry a portable air pump anyway... just haven't gotten around to doing it. Also, I am scheduled to replace my spare maybe next year, as it is still one of the original Kumho tires from 2002 --malapit na siguro sya mag-expire.

You mean aside from the checklist in your owners manual? I called up three service centers to get the best deal on my 150,000-km timing belt replacement.

Is this a gas-powered or a diesel Sedona we're talking about? If it's a diesel, P650k for a one-year old vehicle sounds reasonable, although the mileage is a little high. Make a thorough inspection of the unit and check the casa service history to aid you in your decision. Also compare prices of similar units in the classified ads. Happy hunting.

sir mikey177 thanks actually its diesel if i remember its a 2.9 dohc though not sure my only apprehension is it's dosen't looked like a 2005 model i read somewhere in the thread that the diesel engines of the newer models (2003 above has already a crdi capability m'i correct)

    Ericm,

Depends on the roads you travel dito sa Las pinas smooth asphalt most of the time anroute ng carnival. So 38 feels ok. Not to harsh not to soft ang ride.

Also, my driving style is smooth, nice and easy. So hindi talaga ramdam ang tagtag. I even make it a point to shift gears (manual tranny ang carnival ko) in a way that my passengers would not feel the change (suave ba).

Now pag highway driving at magisa ako, minsan lumalabas ang pagka colin macrae ko. So pag mainit na yung goma ok sa long straight drives. Heheheh

Of course I will miss all that now that I'm in singapore.

    tnx rodski

    verywell,
I have to agree with Mikey177 that the mileage seems to high for a 2005 model kase sa mga ibang nakaka-usap ko usual mileage per year is about 10k kms per year. Yung akin 41k in 4 yrs.

    verywell,

I just don't know if Kia continued to sell non-CRDI Sedona units even after it introduced its CRDI engine.

IIRC, the max pressure indicated on the sidewall of this tire is 44 PSI. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks po for the advice I have just confirmed from the seller that the van (carnival park II) is an imported unit being the owner registered under a korean guy. The CR indicated a 2005 model but who knows what model or year it really is. My last question is, is there a way to check the true year/model of this van maybe by the looks of the front grill maybe or tail lights or dashboard? or at least a series which I can use to estimate the true age of this van. pls. i need your advice before I buy this Carnival Park II? thanks a lot.

    Hey guys,

I never checked the fine print on the side walls of the tires. The manual says 35 PSI. The original kumho tire sa 44psI max. So when I switched to dunlop I started at 40psi then 36 then I settled at 38psi. Experiment ba. tumagal yung first set for a long time. I just change to new dunlops last july at 77K kms. ganoon pa rin at 38 psi. Close to 4 years ang estimate ko.
gusto ko pa sana patagalin kaso nag oblong yun isang dunlop dahil sa vulcanizing na pinainit. malaki yung butas a few years back. So pinalitan ko na lahat last june.

    tnx

    verywell,
Here are pictures of my ride. My ride is a Korean import as well and its called Carnival Park II which I bought 2002. I am not too sure how to verify that but I hope you can see the pictures which you can compare as this is the first time I will be attaching pictures. Hope this helps.

You can PM or contact Lensio. I believe he has access to the Kia vehicle database. Check out this discussion, where he helps leolop determine the age of his Sedona.

I'm not certain, but I believe the 2003 and higher models have gas lifters to hold the hood open. Also, iba yung tail lights ng 2004 model sa naunang model. Yung sa 2002, nasa ilalim yung signal light at sa ibabaw yung brake light.

    verywell,
I think personally the 640k is ok but of course you really have to check and ask the owner the history of the van. The player is just a vcd and there is an input rca jack for a dvd player. My carnival has another tv console in the middle for the kids at the back and it has a reverse camera as well. Not too sure though if the camera is a standard from import carnivals.
