walang glow plugs and sedona or carnival. the engine uses a heater coil just before the intake manifold.

mga pinalitan: pulley, idler pulley, ung adjuster pulley?, fan, ac belt..change oil, air filter...haaayyyyy..cost me around 9+++ for the whole thing w/ service labor..the mechanic charged me 1,8k....damn......

if you back read on the thread, may na mention na regarding crank shaft pulley problem ng Kia carnival.. dapat pina check mo agad yung pulley mo kung slipping na... that is the cause kung bakit nawala power steering mo and the serpentine belt mis aligned is because the pulley is already slipping..

*sir yapoy:sir oo nga eh, sna na pa check ko....i also replaced that crankshaft pulley....nagtataka lang ako is ung adjuster? pulley ko eh naputol ung pinagkakabitan ng screw....kaya din nawala sa ayos ung belt ko....didnt know what caused it..ill try to take pics...sana di ko pa naitapon....


follow up lang ulit...so when do i know kung kelan pwede i pa calibrate ung carnival? any part to replaced?

also, kanina lang, when i step on the brakes ung stereo ko namamatay...but after a while, normal na ulit..ano kaya problem?

since yesterday nung nangyayari un then nawala...until now din na ulit nangyari ung pag apak sa brake sabay patay ung stereo...weird nga eh..hehehehe

yun bang stereo mo merong control sa steering wheel? pwede rin kasing yun ang reason although it has nothing to do stepping on the brakes. before i change the ribbon wire sa steering wheel, my stereo would intermittently switch off at first then became more frequent until hindi na mag-on.

or it could also be the same as my current problem. it seems yung alternator ko ang problema or more specifically yung ic reg as suggested by benchph. di ko pa maipacheck yung sa akin kasi di pa bumabalik yung baterya ko from the dealer.

one more: yesterday i decided to remove the rear wheel para linisin ung pang ilalalim..then nung naglilinis na ako ng rear coil spring, i saw something inside it, meron syang parang square like rubber thingy..di ko alam talaga eh...nadun lang mismo sa loob ng coil spring sitting below...checked the other side, meron din sya...ill post pic later...

does anyone have an idea kung ano ito?

Guys, we are selling our carnival. Its a red mica LS a/t 10 seater model.
bought it second hand last 2003, had some several breakdowns, All of the "perrenial" problems of the gen1 carnival that was discussed here has already been dealt with, oil pump chain, tensioners, hi-pressure power steering hose, power steering pump, alternator voltage regulator, also the rotor discs, brake pads, brake shoes, balljoints, tie rod ends, all 4 shock absorbers.

admittedly it was a drain on our wallets, but it never really put us in any trouble. I can say i still loved owning it for two reasons: refinement and comfort. driving refinement and comfort for my family.

RFS: We're getting a montero. Pang-dagdag sa pangbayad yung pagbebentahan dito

ung texture nya is rubber...medyo pasira na rin..i was just wondering kung bakit nasa loob mismo nung coil spring sitting..hehehehe

Normally sa valve ng shocks nilalagay ang bumpstops. pero sa design ng read suspension ng carnival, hindi pwedeng ilagay sa shocks mismo.

pinakamagandang fuel consumption nito 9km city driving, di ko na sinusukat pag hiway pero tantsa ko nasa 11/12. pinakamasama, 7kms per liter kapag binibirit ko. hehehe :D

ok lang imaintain ang A/T alagaan mo lang sa tranny fluid. palit every 20,000 kms.

walang problema sa baha ang diesel na carnival. although one time nung napasabak ako sa mandaluyong circle, di naman ako tumirik. umusok ung fan ko. after one day ayaw na umandar ng fan :P

my carnival is ok now. nadurog lang pala ang carbon brush ng alternator.ngayong ko lang naipaayos kasi it took two weeks for the dealer to return my battery.
