I got my Sedona back from Kia Quezon Ave (FEMAC Marketing) yesterday. The work I had done were as follows:
- Perform 150,000-km PMS
- Replace timing belt (I have it changed every 70 to 80,000 km)
- Replace gear oil (think this is first time the gear oil was replaced --EVER)
- Check problem with power steering
My total bill came to P18,300, which surprised me because Wheels E Rod quoted me a price of P20,300 just for the timing belt replacement while Kia Dagupan cited a figure of around P23,000. FEMAC only replaced the parts that were really worn out --just one tensioner instead of the three that the other casas said needed to be replaced.
They said that the power steering problem was due to a worn out steering shaft, which they replaced. The part cost P3,572, and a picture of the old unit appears below:
Naayos naman yung PS problem at nakauwi ako ng maayos sa Urdaneta. I loaded up a full tank before I left QC and I reloaded again after coming from Dagupan. I was pleased that I got a mileage figure of 12 km/liter. Sarap talaga ng highway driving.
My complaint with FEMAC is that the engine bay was messy after they had finished with it. They don't offer free engine was like Wheels, so all the dirt I saw before I having the van serviced was still there. More importantly, one of the rubber stoppers near the fender fell off, the cap for the freon was off (I had them estimate aircon repairs for my next visit), and the screw to my air intake manifold was almost completely unscrewed.
To top it off, while I was driving I noticed that my steering wheel wasn't aligned to the center anymore, but the "center" was now about 10 degrees to the left, like the steering wheel of some jeepneys or taxis
The problem was, I discovered these things after I had left the casa already and I had a gazillion errands to do while I was in QC, so I didn't have time to go back anymore to have it fixed. Hay buhay!

Hi Benchp1,
I had mine (Carbon Clean) at Petron C5, it was a promo which ended on Aug 18 (if my memory serves me right) so I did not pay anything. I believe only 20++ MMla Petron stations offer that kind of service. Unfortunately, I just don't know if they already offer this service to public after the promo.

The carbon clean was done at petron macapagal. I didn't know that it was a promo thing so i guess it would be over by now. You can still ask petron where or when they will release in the market.
tnx
rodski
PS. I miss my carnival!!!!! ibalik niyo ko sa pinas!!!

September 11th, 2006 10:36 AM #1278rodski, daming pinoy diyan sa singapore. Am sure you can find a group to hang out with. My wife's sister nga is also there kasi na assign yung husband diyan. Plus a few of my classmates.
Guys, napansin ko sa less than 35 psi (which is the max tire pressure allowed by a 215 r15 tire), underinflated siya. I noticed that both inner and outer tire wear was slightly greater than the middle tire wear. Not very noticeable unless you use the tire wear warning marker as basis, medyo pudpod na kasi ang gulong ko, may groove pa naman, pero malapit na malapit na dumikit sa warning marker. Thus, I believe that regardless of load, we have no choice but to put 35psi cold tire pressure. The tires I mentioned are both in the front, which was rotated, it was originally in the rear for maybe 25K, and now another 10K in the front.
