Also, has anyone installed leather/leatherette seatcovers on their Carens? I would appreciate pics kung meron. Also, would like to know how much it would cost.

How much does undercoating cost and where did you have it done? Does it have to be at the casa? Di ka pa nagpapa-leather seat covers?

Oh, and one last question that's kinda OT: this will be the first time that I'll have a HU that has an AUX-IN for an iPod. How exactly can I connect my iPod? I'll just need a cable that has a 3.5mm jack on both ends to connect to my iPod headphone jack and my HU's AUX IN? Is that it?

i had my undercoating done sa isang kaibigan kong may shop for P2500. kahit saan, mas maganda kung kakilala mo. basta kailangan kalasin nila dapat yung plastic fender covers. doon mo makikita yung undercoating lang nila ay kung saan mo lang nakikita. but don't be alarmed kasi ganito din naman sa ibang car brands. siyempre hindi na nila kakalasin mga covers habang nasa production line...

hindi pa ako nakakapagpa leatherette seat covers. kapus pa pera. pero when i asked kay seatmate, P7500 quote nila although pang innova presyo. hindi kasi nila alam pa yung carens when i inquired.

unahin ko sana magpa-tint sa front windshield at kabit seps for the front. medyo bitin talaga highs ng sounds. as for the aux, hindi pa ako nakakatikim ng ipod kaya wouldn't really know. pero usually direct connect lang naman yan sa hu. may "aux" doon sa source button so ganun lang siguro..

need help guys. do you think its a good deal to trade in my 97 lancer glxi to a carens. they told me it could worth 220k due to their high appraisal scheme. but I am kinda attached to my car. its been with me for more than 10 years. TIA

all kia dealership. its in the newspaper today. so I just gave it a try and the SA explained it to me. that they'll appraised your car value with regards sa market price. not depending on your unit. so mataas daw siya kesa sa mga buy and sell of sort.

Re. the IPod your right you just need to buy or may ask your supplier for the cable. I bought mine for PHP200 and the sound is definitely better using my IPod.

Rod this afternoon, and the SA who assisted me is sad to say "not competent and knowlegeable" enough. Imagine ang alam lang niyang diff bet EX and LX model ay ang roof rack, foglight and color keyed side mirrors lang. Saan po ba magandang dealership pumunta?

and besides ambaba ng appraisal nila sa CRV ko. imagine 2000 model and 300,000 lang daw max nun. bababa pa daw pag inspect nila actual condition ng ride. saan bang dealer ka nagpunta Mschumacher?

saka ung nakadisplay na unit 2008 model daw un e bakit may illuminated key hole. akala ko ba wala na sa 2008 model un.

well illuminated pa yata yun sa ex e. pero sa lx ndi na illuminated yun bago. nagtry din ako sa e rod e mejo mahirap nga kausap yun SA dun. and she is n ot helpful at all. BTW what carens are you taking LX or EX?

rst619 well you better ask a kia dealer for that. hindi ko rin kasi alam kung ano ano talaga ang diff nila e. pero ang alam ko lang e yun ex may fog lamps, airbag (driver), 16" mags, roofrail, chrome garnish. all in all not sulit. so I prefer lx na. kailan ka ba kukuha???

EX has:
- fog lamps
- roof rack
- color keyed side mirror
- chrome door handle and that thing on the side (is that a side impact beam?)
- better HU, same set of speakers
- 16 inch alloy wheel (the LX has 15 inch steel rims)

these are based on my observations when we were canvassing before we bought our unit november last year. Re: the illuminated keyhole, I believe they only remove this feature in the LX, EX still has it.

is it worth it? hmm... I'm not really sure myself, my thinking is that the 85+K difference is a lot of money. Besides, save for the roof rack, all the differences can readily be done (upgraded) on the LX at some other time and the money you saved (for the price diff) can be used elsewhere. But if you have the money now, well... I think getting the EX is not a bad choice at all.

That's shockingly good for a 97 Lancer. If it doesn't go down on appraisal, take it. The Revo, I'm not so sure, but if it's gasoline, that might be it. Secondhand prices for AUVs are only high for diesel ones.

300k is atually fair. Many people selling 2000's secondhand are over-quoting their cars, but that doesn't ensure that buyers will be willing to pay that much. But if the price goes down to 250k on appraisal, just sell it outside... you can still get 300k for it, maybe 350k if the buyer is a sucker... errh... Honda-lover.
