Still waiting for inputs..Btw any idea which KIA distributor has an attractive deal and good serivice? What are the standard freebies and what are the special discounts they normally provide?

Standard freebies are free lto reg, matting, tint and compre. There is an SA who has a particular promo for a white Carens and a REd Sportage. PM me for the contact number.

So far 3 casa napuntahan ko 1) E Rod. 2) commonwwealth and 3) Libis. Of the 3, sa Commonwealth and Libis madali makatest drive kahit ilang sasakyan pa basta nandun ung unit test drive agad. Medyo badtrip lang sa commonwealth kasi kaharap nila e ung bus loading platform kaya medyo mahirap mag park.

Sa mga SA naman wala kang maasahan sa E Rod and Commonwealth. VERY knowledgeablea ng SA's ng Libis. Meron din dito tsikoteer na si Ace8tan ba un sa mandaluyong Kia sya. Un da best kausap un pag details and specs ang kelangan mo.

AS for pricing, Kia has what u call the "one price policy" so malabo talagang makakuha ka ng discount and freebies na magkakaiba. Pero kung may trade in ka, make sure na sa Kia Columbian and or Signet ka pumunta. Unbeatable ang offers nila. I know this for a fact and based on experience :D. I am waiting for my Sportage now since Carens is a little too low for me . First choice ko talaga sya kaya lang mukang sasayad ako at saka kakatakot pag baha e.

RST619 san ka nagtrade-in ng car mo? How much did you get for your old car. For me haven't bought a new carens yet. laki conflict dito e. may nagpupumilit kasi na innova ang kunin . Pero mukhang yun 323 familia na lang ang itrade in ko instead of my pizza pie. sino SA mo? and san ka kumuha. TIA

i drove alone with my '08 carens lx crdi m/t like crazy from caticlan(boracay) to iloilo via antique. Tha road condition was great. At straight lanes, i can go up to 190km/hr but too chicken to reach it. I fastest i got was 180km/hr * 3.5 rpm. Took me 3 hr to reach from one end to the other end of panay island. That's fast.

The handling is good enough, It can turn at speed of 80k/hr, no problem.Climbing up is a breeze, malakas talaga.3rd and 4th gear lang kayang-kaya paakyat.Twice, I had to make a hard stop and twice the brakes did not fail me, even without the ABS...Its good.

In Iloilo, I added tweeters on my stereo, It sounded better. I don't care if it will void the warrantee. I need better sounds for those long drive. I heard EX has better sounds system.

I was planning to change my tire to 17", kasya daw. Wait ko munang masira ang existing tires then i will change it.

At the same Auto shop, a jeepney driver ask me yesterday why i chose a Kia, and with all gusto I explained why, all knowledge i got from this thread and from my happy experience with my 3 month old Carens helps. It is not hard to sell a good product. Apply kaya tayong SA, hehehe. I love Carens. It is really a good car!

The next day, I went back via roxas city coz i have to pick up my kids from their lola's house . This time i drove easy, about 80km/hr average plus i was forced to drive even slower coz the boundery of capiz & iloilo's highway is under repair...ang sama! I had to it cleaned up this morning, ang dumi ng kotse. Waxed it also (once a week habit).

Tour of the panay island with Carens: Total km covered, around 495 (plus a little city driving) . FC ko 12 km/l. I used Shell Diesel.

Bought my 2008 Carens EX last mid Jan. Odo is now 1400km and my FC is 9.8 km/li city driving! No complaints so far except (perhaps only) the low clearance.

bluebeard, is your Carens with a manual tranny or an auto tranny? thanks!

Sir pochie, I use variety of waxes. I wax my car more for protection than aesthetics.Got to protect your investment. I usually use meg's yellow wax, yesterday i used 3m car show wax and i can't find the difference. I'm not an expert on detailing. I wash twice a week, wash-wax once a week and wash-polish-wax once a month... that's it.

:stereo: ok na highs sa sounds ko, long drive to Caticlan won't be that boring tom. I saw one carens in Boracay. Those who misses their carens while in Boracay should check in at Boracay Mandarin, it's their shuttle van.

Thanks, sir magnus your probably right halos pare-pareho nga lang siguro.. I've been to ace hardaware kahapon Polyglaze"Diamond Finish" nabili ko kasi medyo nakadetailed yung good effect nya sa Sasakyan, again more on protection....

I saw that white Carens LX in Boracay! I was in Boracay last week and was walking along the beach near Boracay Regency and saw that Carens! When I went closer, I saw the Boracay Mandarin emblem. Syempre, I took a picture of this beautiful car:

My Carens is crdi EX A/T. I think the 2008 EX are all auto tranny.

Sorry, up to 5 passengers incl driver pa lang naisakay ko. Ok pa rin sa humps d2 sa Alabang Hills.
