Wow, bad trip nga ah mas marami accessories yung model 2007, mine is almost the same with Sir Bogart, the only difference is the color of the panel mine is gray, not sure about the Console aux, but to add my JVC has aux in.

Sir MQavila I believe you have seen the different color of the carens posted here, better get one now you might get confuse kung ano gusto mo kulay he he, and baka yung susunod na lalabas na modelo eh mas marami pa bawasin, wag naman sana, anyway good luck on your fiuture carens.

so far naman satisfied pa rin ako, bad trip nga lang malaman na yung 2007 model pala eh mas marami accessories or baka naman theres a difference between LX AT and LX MT, kasi parehas yung samin ni Sir Bogart which is both LX MT.

Baka yung mga units na carens sa manila ay 2008 models na, kung gusto nyo talagang yung 2007 model try checking other provincial dealer, kasi i got my carens sa bacolod, and sa 3units dati na tiningnan ko sa dealer (red, black and silver) all have the 2007 model specs.

Nakaka bad trip nga talaga knowing na dami silang tinangal, and to think dati ang takot ko pa when i decided to buy the carens eh baka when i bought it that day pagkatapos after a week or weeks lalabas na ang 2008 model with lots of add ons na accessories, yun pala instead na dagdagan eh nabawasan.

But, before when i made up my mind to buy the carens, i already have a list kng ano ang mga standard features ng carens, then iniisa-isa ko ito hinanap, kung wala akong nakita, tanong agad ako sa SA kng bakit wala, and when my unit arrived, check ulit ako to be sure , kaya walang takas ang dealer, sigurista ata to hehehehe .

Wow, it's really awesome to see that speedometer doing more than 140 kms/hr without even reaching 3000 rpm! THAT is power.

You know? Every time I see new pics of the Carens in a particular color, I end up loving that color! Bro bogart, red looks awesome! Hehehe. I really have to get my Carens already... otherwise, I'll go just crazy trying to decide the color that's right for me and my wife.

better collect all colors!!! hahaha!!!

LX/AT po ako, as far as I know, walang difference ang MT and AT (syempre transmission!)

since madami ng Carens owners dito, siguro pwede na tayo mag-post ng fuel consumptions natin...

for me, Carens LX/AT, i'm averaging 11.1km/liter mixed city(EDSA - ortigas) and highway (NLEX), general rule ko is NEVER go beyond 2000RPM pero ang hirap kasi nakakatuwa magmabilis!

suggestion ko lang sa mga owners dyan, always check your tire pressure, i forgot to check mine and it was at 30psi na, around that time mga 9.2km/liter lang milage ko. so ngayon 36psi ako (although 34psi ang recommended) kaya na yung 11.1km/liter

Hmmm.... it really seems like the 2007 model was a better deal than the 2008 model.

The only consolation is that it is a later model.

Actually, napansin ko nga that in the span of roughly two-three months that I was researching on the Carens and visiting the various dealerships, the gas model of the Carens was slowly being phased out. At the start, I still saw the gas LX and EX models on the price lists. About a month ago, one of the dealers I visited said they were not selling the gas LX models anymore and could only offer the gas EX models...

Just last weekend, Kia Sucat gave me a new price list and it only listed the three CRDi models (LX M/T, LX A/T and EX A/T).

Their reason: their CRDi models sell much faster than the CVVT models. I have to be honest though, I was considering the gas EX because I would get all the amenities of an EX for a lesser cost.

hmm.. sa pagka alam ko e pareho lang ang recommended tire pressure sa crdi at cvvt (32 psi as stated in the manual). nag normalize na sa 11++km/li ang consumption ko (crdi) mixed city and highway driving. Basically the carens shines on highway (my best is 14+ km/li) and sucks on city traffic (my worst is 8km/li or even worst, traffic is non-moving to slow moving for more than 1 hour). All figures are approximate. Tried as I might I cant control myself not to keep the speed at 80+ km/h or the rpm below 2K... masyadong nakaka tuksong mag zoom zoom... saka feeling ko nalulungkot yung carens pag 80 lang speed nya

on other topic.. naasar ako ngayon dun sa features na wala sa unit namin, i find it unfair, ok lang sana kung sinabi ng dealer ng maayos. sir ace8tan sa inyo (signet) ako kumuha e.. the unit i tested had illuminated keyhole, the unit we got doesn't have it.... booo! yung sa iba pala may glove light pa...unfair!!! la lang naglalabas lang ng sama ng loob!

The suspension / ride is what you shouldn't worry about, i know its one of the standout features of the carens, even at 36psi, smooth pa rin yung ride. in fact, according to the manual, you can put in 17" rims, comparable to sedans ang suspension ng carens.

naku! nalito na yata ako, di ko sure kung 32psi or 34psi ang recommended for the carens, check ko mamya pagbaba sa parking , either way, i assure you, kung 2 passengers lang (including the driver), smooth pa rin kahit sa 36psi.

i think sinadya ng mga SA na hindi sabihin yung mga removed features, 2 weeks before we bought our unit, i was in the office of Kia Libis, naka post sa cork board yung mga changes sa 2008 units nila, that's where i found the changes for the carens, it came from columbian motors, konti nga lang yung changes na nandun sa memo eh, kaya nagulat ako na ang dami palang inalis.

Still breaking-in my new EX A/T. Doing 8.8km/l city driving ; 10km/l Alabang to Talisay, Batangas.

Btw, can anyone tell me where to buy a rain visor/gutter for the Carens? Wala kc dito sa Alabang & Quirino Ext dealers.
