I saw this on the Internet. This is what I want to get for my upcoming Carens to make sure that the cargo area won't be stained or dirtied by whatever cargo I load there. It goes on top of the cargo area with the 3rd row down:

akala ko same lang overall diameter ng tires kahit 15 or 16 and rims (nagiging low profile lang pag 16) mali ba? Dahil kung iba overall diameter, dun magiging off yung speedo at odo.

Kung off nga by 10%, kailangan mas malaking diameter para lumapit yung actual vs speedometer?

yes you are correct. 0.8% lang ang difference ng 15 & 16 OEM tires ng carens. check out these links.

Wow, how fast time flies... my Carens turned 1 year old today...
19.8k km travelled, 2x PMS.

So far, no rattling, no cracking on the plastics, undercoat still looks good despite frequent contacts with humps...

still drives just like when we got it a year ago...

Wow, happy birthday to your Carens bro! Looks like you've been really using your Carens in the past year - 20K km in a year. Wow!

I'm thankful that you posted this... The Carens is a relatively new entry here in the Philippines so no one really had any long-term feedback on it. I believe you're probably one of the few people who've had this Carens for the longest time here. And, since your feedback seems good, it just shows how great and sturdy the Kia Carens is!

I was looking around the net for other owners having the incorrect speedometer reading and I stumbled on this thread at Kia Forums: http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-carens...g-right-6.html

According to the owners, their Rondos are pulling to the right, I also mentioned this to Signet that our Carens was also pulling to the right when I had the suspension-knocking checked on the rear right, they told me that I had to get the tires aligned. What about other Carens owners in this thread? Does your Carens pull to the right as well? Mine does!

My carens is actually 1 week today . I'm happy to say that I am very satisfied and happy with its fuel consumption my FC for highway is 14.3 and FC for city is 9.2 it is indeed very economical compared to my lancer. As of the moment my carens won't be able to run till monday because I am rustproofing its underbody hehehe and it will take 2-3 days to dry up.

I just wanted to ask... when the Carens rolls out of the Kia warehouse, hasn't it been rustproofed yet? Why do we need to have it rustproofed again? Also, is this done at the casa or outside? Is this part of warranty? Sorry for the many questions... I want to be prepared once I have mine...

Hi Mari, do you have any new pics of your Carens? Maybe you added some accessories such as seatcovers or rain gutters or whatnot? I'm still waiting for my Carens - thankfully, there's good news that came with this long wait and with getting the Carens under the car plan... I just learned from our Purchasing that Kia Main has approved a fleet discount for me and my two other officemates who will get a Carens. :D

Nothing new on her now except for new titanium tints i had put over the existing 3ms. hindi ko talaga kaya yung init! everytime we do a long drive, i'm usually tired from the heat. ayun, mas ok na.

i'm planning to set up the sound system if ever i have extra money. mukhang ok naman kay kumander! pera na lang kailangan. hehehe...

good news on your fleet discount! magkano kaya??? ang habang foreplay na yan ah!!!

as for the luggage tray you posted, i have yet to see one around here. i have that pic myself. ganda diba? matches the beige interior pa! ang ginawa ko naman is yun vinyl na table cover muna ginamit ko para in case may basa, hindi tatagos sa likod ng 3rd row seats.

Just had my 5k PMS done at Kia (Signet) Mandaluyong. It took them 2-1/2 hours to finish the job including the free body wash. I paid P1,631.84 for the 6 liters oil (P150/li), oil filter (P525), cotton rags and sandpaper P32 plus VAT (P174.84). The labor was free.

same here! akala ko sisingilin na ako for labor. interesting lang kasi when i visited kia balai, they quoted me there 5k pms at P3750. obviously may labor cost included.

To all Carens owners, check nyo yung speedometer nyo. Sa akin off ng 10%, so if i'm running at 100kph sa speedometer, 90kph lang talaga. I tested this with a GPS and while running side by side with our pajero. Talagang off sya. It also means na off din ang odometer ng 10% (please correct me if i'm wrong with this), so if i'm already at 8000km, it means na 7200km pa lang talaga, kasi 10% of 8000km is 800km. I talked to Signet in Mandaluyong (Francis) and he told me that he will contact their technical service department, pero medyo malabo daw at baka wala silang magawa. If this is a problem for all Carens here in the philippines, lugi tayo sa warranty and mas mataas ng 10% ang odometer natin, so malamang mali din ang FC computation.

i notice parang off nga pero i'm not really sure. there are instances when i'm side by side the new honda civic and you can read the speedo reading from the outside. parang magkaiba nga.

the odometer does seem spot on though. i use the kilometer markings on nlex as a guide...

Yung friend ko sa Cebu, he was charged P900 plus for the labor para sa 5k PMS. Kia Pasay and Pasig are also charging labor for the 5k PMS.

Yup it comes with the factory rust proof but sa labas lang kasi yun rust proof nila e ndi kasama yun loob ng fender e. As for me tinanggal ko lahat kasi yung nakakabit like yun fender liner and the headlight and front bumper then nagspray na me ng rustproof. Pag tinanggal mo kasi yun mga yun lahat ng nakatago lang rust proof e.

Mine is a black cherry '07 LX MT odo ko is almost 800 na.

Same here ganun ko din tinest yung odo ko e. thru nlex din dun sa mga pole. e mukha naman ok siya e. dont know about sa speedometer. maybe if lagyan nalang ng malaking tires kaya macocompensate ay iyon. Hehehe I've tried putting an 18 inch mags with a 235 45 tires and it really looks good so sad dont have the money to buy the wheels.

Teka, you had titanium tints installed OVER the existing 3M tint? You didn't have the 3M tint removed anymore? I might do that also...

i am also interested in putting in subs. the only area i can see is under the 2nd row seat. was initially planning to put it under the third row seat kaso pag tiniklop pala yung third row, wala na space under kasi yung seat will level off.

BTW, i installed sub, 10" nga lng pero ok naman...kaya pa daw 12" but i opted 4d 10" inch sub post ko na lng pix...
