Guys sa susunod na punta nyo sa Kia Dealer para magpa-service, pa-check ninyo ang VGT ninyo at sa palagay ko ay kailangan itong i-calibrate. Wala dapat LAG ang pag-apak ninyo ng accelerator pedal sa response ng engine ng KIA CRDI. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit may VGT ang CRDI natin. Kapag ang speed ay LOW, nililitan ng VGT ang size ng VGT Turbine para walang lag kapag mababa ang speed. Walang problema talaga kapag high speed ang takbo.
Yung CRDI ko EX/AT ay smooth ang acceleration at walang noticeable lag na katulad ng description ninyo sa inyong Carens. Maski na pataas, pababa, o patag na daan.
Isa pang speculation ko ay baka puno ng "diesel exhaust" deposit ang inyong catalytic converter/exhaust pipe dahil sa "too much" engine idling, at saka "short distance" driving. Kailangan ninyong ihirit sa SCTEX o NLEX ang inyong Carens every now and then para ibuga ang mga ito at malinis.
may lag talaga yung carens lalo na kung youre running say 10kph then you step on the pedal to accelerate (heavy step on the pedal) mag lag talaga yung engine ng carens why?? first the engine is accelerator control is "wired" no physical connection between pedal and throttle.. second is the engines' ECU makes the slight delay to make sure proper combustion of fuel napansin ko ito lalo na kung moving slowly tapos nasa 2nd or 3rd gear ka tapos alanganin ang speed with your gear.. pansinin yung mga NON-CRDI engines pag binigla mo tapak sa accelerator bubuga ng smoke lalo na sa unang tapak ng accelerator sabay bitaw ng clutch...
isa pa try nyo sa mga naka M/T na carens, from stop, pag shift nyo at 1st gear release nyo yung clutch slowly, you will notice the engine will automatically adjust the RPM even without pressing the accelerator... the ECU sense load to the engine and automatically adjust rpm.. it seems that CRDI engines are programmed with priority on making sure diesel fuel is burned properly..
this issue slightly worries me coz we have contradicting descriptions on how our carens handles...
Halos lahat ng drive-by-wire (electronic throttle) cars ganyan ang issue. May slight delay.

kuwento ko lang, i've been having aircon problems lately with my carens. when the passenger compartment starts getting warm, the compressor is supposed to kick in BUT it does not. it only starts after about 5 minutes.
obviously, the delay makes the passenger compartment hot na, especially in the summer sun.
i've brought her to Kia Signet last week and last Monday to report the problem. I've asked Francis Mendoza, the service advisor, to report this to Columbian so that it can be resolved as a factory defect and therefore, be replaced at no cost to me since it's still under warranty. I was told yesterday that he already sent the report to Columbian.
i'm a little concerned lang with his statement that "sana ma-convince Columbian" with his report. so i asked myself, so kung hindi sila ma-convice, paano na ako?

Mari musta na? I suggest you insist on the warranty claim since it is part of the agreement when we bought our brand new car. Pag pumalag, diretso mo sa DTI ewan ko lang kung hindi kumilos yang mga yan! Ang style nyan mga yan e yun bang kung makakalusot lang.. pero pag alam ng customer ang rights nya, i'm sure they'll backtrack.![]()
Alam mo kung ako syo, kung di sila pumayag or it's taking them so long to respond, as in two weeks na wala pang feedback, write a complaint letter addressed to their President or General Manager. Fax it to their office number and give them a call saying that you have faxed a complaint letter. Put in your letter na if they don't fix it ASAP, you will email your experience to your friends, post it in forums, send a copy of your letter to Inquirer or PhilStar, and officially report the incident to DTI. Ewan ko na lang kung di pa nila ayusin yan.
I did the same thing for my brand new refrigerator which I bought from Sanyo. Ayun replace nila in less than a week. Otherwise kasi, babalewalain lang nila yan.

Same experience here.. Solve na solve ako sa carens pero sa support sa warranty,walang kwenta.
Eto naman ang nangyari sa akin,pumunta ako sa kia pasig pina check ko sa kanila yung nararamadaman ko na kalampag sa kaliwang suspension ng carens ko (natural sa kanila ko dadalhin kasi sa knila ko dinadala pag PMS nito, and per advise na din ng binilhan ko na KIA LIBIS). Sabi ng "service advisor" hihigpitan nila muna, so sa akin naman ok lang yun, baka nga maluwag lang. 2 days lang nakalipas bumalik ulit. Annoying kasi yung kalampag, maliit na lubak lang rinig na rinig ko sa loob kasi tahimik sa loob yung carens natin. so, binalik ko ulit sa kanila, ang sistema hihigpitan nila tapos ipapatest drive sa akin, few days ulit nanjan na naman ung kalampag. Three time din ako pabalik balik sa kia pasig and im insisting na icheck mabuti and palitan kasi under warranty pa naman carens ko, eto naman statement sa akin " baka kasi sir hindi ma justify ni columbian yan kami dito sigurado ang mag aabono,buti pa sir palakasin nyo muna ang ingay".. Eto pa "alam ko naman sir me nararamdaman kayu sa oto nyo kasi di naman kayu mag aaksya ng panahon na pabalik balik dito kung wala eh di ba?"
Nakakapag taka lang dito kasi pati yung "Supervisor mechanic" ng KIA PASIG, di daw nya marinig yung sinasabi ko na kalampag.Well, baka nga maselan ako.
Sabi naman nung isang "service advisor" mahirap daw talaga pag di sa kanila binili ang unit. priority daw nila talaga ang mga nabili sa kanila.And sabi pa nya ang nakakahinanakit dito, Hindi na sa kanila nabili yung unit, Hindi na sa kanila nag papa PMS tapos biglang sa kanila mang hihingi ng warranty.
Mahirap din pala bumili sa KIA LIBIS since wala sila Service Bay. Nakaka inis lang lang dito, kasi nirerekomenda nila ang KIA PASIG as service center nila, and di naman sila masoportahan sa warranty. Kia Carens and KIA Sportage pa naman ang nabili namin sa Kia Libis.
YUng mga taga KIA LIBIS. HIndi naman sila mahirap kausap and malaki naitulong nyan sa amin nyan ma dispose yung lumang oto namin.. Maganda din naman ang performance ng sportage and carens,lahat naman ng sinabi ng mga taga Libis eh tama. Sablay lang talga sa warranty.

Sir altd si SA marlon ba kausap mo? try mo kausapin si Mr. Antonio Mallari siya yata pinakaboss dun. ako sa Libis din ako bumili ng unit ke SA Elsa. Tama ka wala problema kausap mga tao sa Libis.
Baka naman medyo minalas ka lang at medyo hindi maganda kausap SA na natiyempuhan mo. Sa kia Pasig din kasi una PMS ko and ung mga minor requests ko ok naman kahit hindi sa kanila ko binili unit.
Pero after that nun nagbukas Kia congressional lumipat ako dun ( mas malapit kasi sa amin ). Compared sa Pasig mas ok mga SA dun. try mo si Ferdinand Santiago.

Si SA Fyke namin kinuha ung units namin, madiskarte mga taga libis kaya no wonder dami nabebenta. Mababait pa.
Ililipat ko na lang ng Service center ung carens and sportage namin. Puntahan ko po sir yung nirekomenda nyo.
Nakakahiya na din mag name drop dito, baka nataon lang na marami inaasikaso si "Mr. Service advisor" kaya napabayaan si carens ko. Lipat na lang ako sa iba , pero meron na silang kwento maririnig sa akin. :gun:

Mga sirs, baka yung DELAY / LAG in initial acceleration na pinag-uusapan nyo is due to our Carens being EURO-4 emission compliant. Mahina or delayed ang power delivery from standstill in first and sometimes second gear at speeds below 2,000 rpm. This is in line with lowering pollution levels in congested city traffic kaya naka program ang sasakyan na medyo mahina ang power delivery sa simula. Ive read in C! magazine and also TopGear that some of the cars they test have same problems due to restrictions in emission.

As expected, no definite action on my caren's aircon problem. according to Francis Mendoza of Signet Mandaluyong, kinailangan pa daw nilang i-reclarify yung initial report nila.
According to them, Columbain said wala daw problema aircon ko. Sus, guniguni ko pa pala yun! Hay..
ang problema nakikita ko dito Columbian. THere's somebody there who receives the reports from the dealers and apparently makes the judgement call without the benefit of an actual investigation themselves. I have this person's name pero ayoko muna i-disclose at sabi nila (yung GM ng Signet) they will follow up on the reply from Columbian.
Worst case I will write them a letter, copy DTI. ANG BAGAL NILANG GUMALAW! All I'm asking is for them to fix the car, not replace it. I suppose reasonable naman yun. I recently returned a defective blender and they replaced it. Sana naman these guys will attend to a valide customer complaint regarding their product.
I hope Signet has something positive to tell me by tomorrow. Yung ang sabi nila.

Hindi ko na lang na update yesterday. Around 4pm, got a call from Mr. Jess De Leon, GM ng Signet Mandaluyong. Siya na daw tumawag mismo sa Columbian to order the part for my air con.
Of course, I felt relieved but at the same time, sad and dissapointed. This shouldn't have happened if Columbian was pro-active enough. The Signet people appear to me feel hostage to the people over at Columbian. Kumbaga, yung dealer pa nagmamakaawa sa distributor.
Hopefully though, the part they (will) order is THE defective part. And that in the end, magawa.
