Hmmm as of now wala pa naman akong nakikitang taxi pero may nabalitaan akong ginagawa siyang service sa boracay ng mga hotels duon e.

I actually saw that white Carens being used by Boracay Mandarin as a service vehicle. I don't mind that kind of association since it sort of gives a sense of prestige.

BUT, I certainly hope that they won't make the Carens a taxi. In fact, when you think about it, I don't think it would be a practical choice for a taxi... it's too expensive to serve as a regular taxi - a regular sedan which is cheaper can do the same job... and it's not practical to make into an "FX" because if you want to sit in the 3rd row or get out of the 3rd row, you would have to lift the 2nd row and effectively disturb the passengers sitting there.

Of course, I have a vested interest in this because I'm planning on getting the white color :D

I was looking around the net for other owners having the incorrect speedometer reading and I stumbled on this thread at Kia Forums: http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-carens...g-right-6.html

According to the owners, their Rondos are pulling to the right, I also mentioned this to Signet that our Carens was also pulling to the right when I had the suspension-knocking checked on the rear right, they told me that I had to get the tires aligned. What about other Carens owners in this thread? Does your Carens pull to the right as well? Mine does!

wla pa sir pero ill follow it up sa service namin.... bout sa taxi issue i think dun lan tlga un sa resort ksi d sya practical sa taxi... msydo mahal jst imagine 979,000 for a taxi or fx... lugi pa sila sa seats ksi 3 lan sa 3rd row and msyado hussle sa pag baba...

I would also suggest getting the CRDi for power. Sabi nga ng mga anak ko pag umovertake kami, para daw sinisibat yung car.

very satisfied si misis sa carens natin kasi ang laki ng tipid sa FC. san fernando-nueva ecija (san leonardo) balikan 320 pesos lang (138km sa odo). next week sa zambales naman hehehe.

Yup it comes with the factory rust proof but sa labas lang kasi yun rust proof nila e ndi kasama yun loob ng fender e. As for me tinanggal ko lahat kasi yung nakakabit like yun fender liner and the headlight and front bumper then nagspray na me ng rustproof. Pag tinanggal mo kasi yun mga yun lahat ng nakatago lang rust proof e.

Pano mo masesetupan ng sound system yan? I'm just curious kasi may sub ako dito e and gusto ko talaga siyang ilagay sa loob ng car kaya lang cant find enough space e.

Teka, you had titanium tints installed OVER the existing 3M tint? You didn't have the 3M tint removed anymore? I might do that also...

yup, over the factory tints na lang. i wanted to have them removed pero worry ko yung sa likod. baka ma-damage yung defogger. at least mas madilim ang rear and sides. light lang sa front.

Hi, newbie here..sorry can’t have the time to go back to review other listings here because it is very long and I am only on the first page.I’m interested in acquiring a new car and I am interested in the Kia Carens because many say it is “lady-friendly” and I don’t see a lot of it. Can you please some careens owners here at tsikot give me the following info if it would be possible (thank you for your help). Engine performance and availability of parts. Plus what’s a nice color for a lady? I’m from one the provinces of Luzon up the Northern tip and I have a friend in Manila (who has a contact in one Kia dealer in Metro Manila) who can assist me in purchasing a unit possibly by May or early June. Is it okey to get the unit from Manila or should I get one nearest our place (is there a Kia in La Union, Pangasinan, Vigan?). Manila is far but I would also like to have a manila plate number. Please help. Would appreciate it Thank you.

hi budo! let me share with you some of my thoughts on why you may want a carens. short of saying sales talking you into buying one. hahaha!

i often hear "girl's car" daw siya. maybe. siguro these are some reasons why.

one of the first things that struck me about her is how easy ingress and egress is into the vehicle. if you are a lover of skirts, this may be a plus instead of getting into an suv.

also, another is how big the side mirrors are! compared to my other car, kitang kita mo katabi mo.

there's the carrying capacity. an extra 2 seats in case you need them. the leg room is very comfortable. the cup holders hint of a family car.

availability of parts? casa muna yan since bago pa talaga siya. eventually i think they will be available outside. afaik, kia pangasinan (calasiao) ang farthest north. actually, part sila ng laus group (also owns kia pampanga and the other car dealerships there). not sure kung may mas north pa doon. pangasinan po ako although sa signet mandaluyong namin nakuha unit namin.

engine performance? crdi would be best. either manual or automatic would be good choices. so far, i have no complaints on my at crdi. mas fuel efficient naturally ang manual. at least you have 6-speed transmission! kung dyan sa ilocos yan, you may be able to use it to the fullest!

Ah ok. Where did you have the rustproofing done? How much did it cost you? And, how long will the car be unusable when you have it done?

Cool! Di naman masyadong makapal na yung tint na sasabit sya sa window pag open and close?

Anyhow, I'm still hoping to convince the dealer to replace the tint with a darker one for free. But if not, then I might just do what you did.

The Carens may actually have a chance... I've noticed that the gap between the Carens (being the third) and the Suzuki APV (the first) is slowly closing... Keep it up guys! :D

Nagpakabit ka na ba? Anong SQ lang talaga? pero pag naglagay ka ng sub sa likod e di nawala na yun space mo sa likod and magiging sagabal na siya sa seats ngayon. Ilang amps yun v12 and yun targa seps ano amp ang magdridrive sa kanya.

Just did my 1000 PMS yesterday and they just rotated my tires. and check all the tire pressure. Ok na siguro.

Well while I was having my car PMS I asked one of the kia carens owners that is due for PMS na din. hehehe ang odo reading niya e 29k+ na in just 8 months wow!!! and sabi niya sa akin lagi na daw niya yun pinatatakbo upto 200kph. ang lupit crdi matic kanya

Yun nga e hehehe sa parteng north daw siya parate e. nagulat lang ako e 8 months pa lang car niya e 29k+ na ang odo reading niya. and wala pa rin siyang reklamo sa ride niya. yung bro daw niya e nahuli sa nlex doing 170kph sa reading ng highway patrol niyahahah
