Carbomb, thanks for the info! Malabon is nasty when it comes to flooding... but you're right, the kakanin and pansit malabon is tasty.

Kung talagang bahain ang lugar nyo, why not get a vehicle na talagang capable. 4x2 Strada ayus na at almost same price range.

Kun di naman then by all means get a Carens.

buyers ng carens CRDi LX-manual: pwede ba daw pakabitan nung original foglight at roof-rail ang carens nyu--to make it look like the EX?

been considering this one too against the bigger carnival EX-SWB--6MT, only lacking are airbag, roofrail, fogs, different seat material and only in steel rims...

si ray ng kia novaliches kausap ko

    HELP:

We are about to buy the carens but are faced with the a difficult decision right now. lx gas a/t or lx crdi m/t?

budget constraints po kasi, since halos same price ang dalawa (868K vs 875K). Haven't owned an a/t (but service car when in US was a/t) and so I wanted one (a/t). But friends has been telling me that crdi is the better (and more economical) engine. Ang tanong, is crdi so much superior (and economical) than the petrol variant for us to choose it over the convenience of an a/t shifter? Would the m/t be easy to drive by ladies (wife and sis). out of the option na po ang crdi a/t, di talaga kaya ng budget e (pero yun sana perfect )

    help me decide guys!

If you're doing mostly city driving in traffic, I'd go with the AT. If you're like myself and you spend every day on the open highway, then I'd have to recommend the manual tranny --sarap ihataw ng CRDI

Future na kasi ang CRDi. Dapat lahat tau ang next car CRDi na.

I guess wife n sis mo makakapag decide nyan.

Try mo Adventure o Avanza. Mas mura mga yan sa Carens at tolerable naman FC maski gas pa.

I own a Carens LX Crdi a/t....if you ask me, the Crdi is REALLY much more superior than the petrol one. On the issue of the manual tranny of the diesel variant, medyo mahirap masanay to downshift immediately each time you slow down. I test-drived a m/t and the engine stopped about 3 times on me. The engine has way too much torque kaya this happens. But i guess when you get used to this small issue, you will definitely enjoy the CRDi... sulit talaga

The LX can't be installed with roof rails... pero the original foglights can be installed at a cool PHP8,500/set

hi guys, i got my carens last may and so far i'm satisfied with it's performance.enough power and yet well insulated that you can't hardly hear the noise of the 2.0 crdi engine.IMO we cannot compare the carens to the famous toyota innova since it is not on the same category. innova looks bbigger, taller than the carens. the 1st row seat of the innova is roomier compared to carens but the 2nd row is practically almost the same. the carens is more of a family car (my 4yr. old son can get in/out the car w/ ease) while the innova is more of a hauler (bigger loading space), presummably can carry heavy load since it has a higher clearance than the carens. but nevertheless it is of your own choice w/c vehicle suits your needs and prefernec. one more thing the ratio of the existing carens to innovas is 1:10 probably due to issued vehicles to PNP and not to mention the roaming taxis in the city.

    Hi Guys,

I would like to share info regarding Carens, I got my LX AT Disiel last early Sept'07, I made some add of accessories to make look EX which only Back Sensor, fog lamp and mags and the total cost P970T. I had comment on roof rail that why I did not include to addition, main reason is the cover of roof rail mounted is not/hard to removed, therefore there might have collect the dust may result to rust and might damaged the roof.

about FC, long drive is perfectly acceptable I recorded 13.5km/l, but short drive for so many standby / traffics it went out ave of 6.5km/l of course if only stop light for sure more than that and for me it is also acceptable.

AT with Shifttronic, this is a new in Carens which is added points, shifttronic means its a semi-automatic control of gear, you need to push to plus in order to change gear up but not necessary need to push down to lower the gear it is a/t, also even if the road going up and suddenly you stop the gear AT back to 1 and you still not move backwards, best for new driver.

Power, perfect I tried to ran and reached speed 160km/h, very smooth and you will say perfectly safe.

Engine Noice, not bad, slightly you will here something but not same as Isuzu.

    Thats all folks

    Thanks you and regards,

    Sander

Parang mahal sa 8,500 petot for fogs. San dealer po? Iba iba kasi ang pricing ng accessories ng kia dealers. Ang Alam ko pinaka mahal sa Signet. Medyo mura sa Pasay at sa E. Rod.
