according to Sir Jun ng kia cubao, wala naman price increase sa caren this coming months..and afected lang ay picanto and yung bagong ilalabas na sportage na 4x2 crdi...

My wife and I went to San Fernando, Pampanga yesterday - marking it as the first time that my Carens set foot on NLEX...

Ang sarap talaga i-drive yung Carens! I was lazily cruising at 120kph and slowing down to 100kph at certain points (being mindful of the radar stations along NLEX). At that speed, I felt like I was under-utilizing the Carens... I was SOOOOOO tempted to step on the gas and speeding down the NLEX but my wife kept on telling me... "The speed limit is the maximum, not a recommendation" as stated in NLEX's giveaway flyer... Hahahaha!

hehehe tama ka dun JuneT dun ko nga pinatakbo ng 200+ kph yun carens ko e swabe a rin.

Well earlier I went to banawe and have seen a red kia carens crdi at goldrich. maybe he or she is one of the posters here. And I have met ladyrider in maspro banawe. she is one of the moderators here in tsikot and she has ask me if we are going to start our own club, she will be willing to assist us.

I don't feel my Carens is underpowered.
I just thought it could be made more fuel efficient with proper tuning.
I think it's using fuel at a "high" rate even if it's just idling,
or it uses the same amount of fuel regardless whether it's lightly or heavily loaded.

My Carens is a/t and I feel its fuzzy logic needs fine tuning.

Using the +- scheme; i can't force it to go to 4th gear unless it has reached the 80 kph mark.
For me, shifting to 4th gear at 80kph is too high. maybe 50-60kph is ideal.
and even if going downhill, you can't force it go to 4th at 50kph. it waits till its 80kph. It's like it is not sensing its load.

I am not sure if they do "retuning" at 5tkm.
mine is only at 1200km yet. I hope they do "Retune" at 5tkm.

to all carens crdi owner, kumusta performance ng aircon niyo?. i test drove kanina(11:30am) * kia quirino ave. the crdi m/t which has 5000km in the odo. im a bet disappointed sa aircon niya. compare to my 06' sentra mabagal siyang lumamig at hindi ganon kalamig (nasa coldest temperature na ang settings and fan speed nasa half mark ng dial knob). 3 person lang kami sa loob pero parang kapos talaga ang lamig niya siguro dahil malaki cabin niya compare to compact car. but im really impress sa power and torque niya.and mas maluwag talaga siya compare sa grand livina.

Im considering this car.

Hi! Got my Carens yesterday - a white LX MT. Sir Ace thanks for everything. More than 3 months din nating inayos ang deal and its worth it naman.

Got to test it at NLex a while back. Hindi ko namamalayan nasa 120kph na pala ako pero parang hindi naman gaano kabilis ang takbo.
