Is the Carens a competitor to the Innova or Avanza? Upon looking on its stats, the Carens seems to be closer to the Innova size-wise.
Carens Innova

Overall Width 1800 1770 mm
Overall Height 1650 1745 mm
Wheelbase 2700 2750 mm

March 29th, 2007 01:05 PM #73My Korean-surplus-third hand Kia Carnival Park II cools better than a 1st gen CR-V, according to it's owner. No to mention rear-riding passenger often complain about A/C being too cold.
Oh, and I've never overheated the Carnival either.

Strange, the Innova actually feels wider inside... might be due to the more compact rear suspension, as the Carens third row is impinged by the shock towers. But it's been quite a while since we saw the Carens on display... if it really is Innova-class in size, but with MPV refinement, it should sell well... if people are willing to give it a chance.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I would expect the Carens to have more refinement than the Innova, as it's a unibody vehicle versus the ladder-frame Innova.
The price of 777k for the entry-level manual tranny seems too good to be true, but if true, it should be a best seller.
If the price is close to 900k, I don't think it will have much traction against the Innova E. As far as I can see, the Carens value proposition vs the Innova is, you get more car (i.e. all power features in the entry-level version) for the same amount of money.
But if the entry-level M/T hits 900k that puts it in Innova E territory, which matches it feature for feature. At 777k a lot of people would choose the Carens over the bare-bones Innova J, but at say 880k.. hard-sell.
