Talagang palaging huli ang IPC sa pag release ng all new vehicles. Yan ngang all new Dmax, antagal na niyan sa Thailand samantalang kailan lang dumating dito. Nakakalungkot kasi marami padin loyalist ang Isuzu especially with the Dmax kaso kung mas maganda ang offer ng competitors, mas pinipili nila un.

Ung 4JJ1 ko kaya padin niyang umabot ng 175 kph based on my speedometer. Most of the time naman kasi 120 kph lang ang takbo ko sa expressways with bursts up to 140 to 160 kph.

*kurt: Sir, I checked my service booklet, ang tanging may naka indicate lang na may L (Lubricate) ay ung 4WD Universal Joints and Sliding Sleeve starting 20k kms all the up to 100k kms with 10k km interval. The rest puro inspect lang.

Ako din malapit na akong mag change oil and I am planning to try Delo 400 in Caltex.

When I inquired before, wala naman silang nasabi na hindi kasya.

Meron akong nakita sa Banawe pero I forgot the name. They do custom grille. Sa may E. Rodriguez area ata un fronting Puregold. I will let you know pag naalala ko ung name.

*Jdrew Adora: Before I had my EGR cleaned, I was also thinking of having my EGR blanked. Maganda naman at ung friend ko na naglilinis, he knows how to blank the EGR. Like what I have read here, ganyan din ang sinabi niya.

Un lang naisip ko na they put there for a reason and baka mas magka problema. To play it safe, pinalinis ko lang.

Uy! Give me your feedback boss rna re delo 400. Torn between Delo 400 and Delvac MX, both 15W-40, been using 10w-30 ever since afair. Kaso mas mahal at rare ang delo 400 kesa sa MX so availability playaed a huge factor ko sa pag choose ng MX over the 40, plus yung viscosity index ng mx is higher compared sa 400.

Be waiting for your feedback boss. Thanks.

While everyone is ranting about the carry-over Dmax engine, this was my basis for getting a 2014 Dmax. I owned a 2010 Strada VGT and a 2012 Ranger XLT. The Strada was stalling at only 5tkms on odo, while the Ranger (a solid truck) didn't give me the low end torque I need having a 2.2 engine relying on the vgt. The Dmax's 3.0 is sufficient for me. Besides, I have a couple of friends that logged more than 150tkms without any major issues.

So far, I'm happy with my purchase.

Its good to be back bro. Sold my Ranger na. Its was a good "family" truck pero medyo nainis ako sa akyatan lalu na manual tapos 2.2. Typical vgt lag issue.

May nabasa nga din akong post from a Ranger owner.

Kasi pag lower gear, napakakupad umakyat at pag nag gear up naman, parang nag-engine lug so walang match na gear daw pag
umaakyat sya lalo pag may load.

Yes sir ganun nga kaya medyo nakakainis. Nowaday's pickups have been converted into high speed machines wherein they should be low speed power haulers

*bugoys: Wag kang mag alala, sir, I am going to post my observation once na nakapagpa change oil ako using Delo 400.

Actually what made me wanna try it was when when Isuzu Commonwealth put their oil in my Dmax as a replacement for the Motul. Sumisinok kasi ang tensioner ko doon sa oil na un and when they found out that it was due to the oil, pinalitan nila. Talaga naman ibang iba ang takbo and sobrang kinis. So I read the manual and I saw Delo 400 there so I said that it will be the next oil that I am going to try.

I find it cheap maybe because I have been using RP which cost 600/liter kaya para sa akin parang napaka mura niya.

Buti, sir, ok ang engine mo sa 10w/30? Ung Motul CRDI 5w/40 hindi gusto ng engine ko and as per Isuzu's mechanic, it's too thin.

*Djerms: Wow! Another or should I say a return Dmax owner.hehe Congratulations on your new truck, sir.

I haven't driven a Ranger and Strada so you know more than me as to why you chose to buy a Dmax again.

So what did you get, sir, the all new with 4JK1 or the one with 4JJ1? Regardless, maganda naman yan pareho.

Actually I appreciated my truck more after watching shows of Scania, Volvo and other truck drivers doing those journeys across Europe delivering goods. Ang ganda tignan ung pag shift nila through the gears na parang mina maximize ang pulling power in every gear. Very smooth ang pag shift nila and pag andar ng truck and hindi ung shifting na parang nakikipag racing.

Ginagaya ko nga and it made me feel the pulling power even more.

I agree with you, ang mga pickup ngayon ang basehan na ng buyers ay top speed and acceleration and not how good it is in hauling.

*kurt: I will see.

I therefore conclude totoo ang "theres no replacement for displacement"

ang best powertrain package ng pickup should be >2.5L + VGT + CRDI = hilux? or another dmax!

semi-serious.. i love my non-crdi dmax but with its age (and my age) hinahanap ko na yun comfortable cabin.

kaya pa naman yun tag-tag ride (sacks of sand lang katapat) at ok na sa akin top crusing speed na 120kph (at may power pa for 160kph just in case) pero yun mga gadgets or aesthetics ng strada/montero gusto ko.

anyways, im free to try new stuff like body lift at alcohol injection kasi matibay itong luma dmax.

    yes!

*rna800: I got the 4x2 LS 4JJ1 engine para medyo hindi bitin hehe. I changed the rubbers lang to 255 na All Terrain kasi medyo bitin ang 245 lalu na 16s ang rims hehe.

*kurt: Hindi naman wala na totally ang buwelo sa Ranger kasi once the vgt kicks in, sobra sobra ang power. Yun lang in 1st gear from a complete stop, nakakaasar ang turbo lag.

Re comfort, maganda ang ride and space ng new dmax bro.
