Mga sir, may tanong lang. Yung Dmax (2010) ko last week pag umaabot ng 140kph yung takbo umiilaw yung "low fuel warning" although intermittent naman yung pag ilaw. Pero pagmabagal takbo wala naman. May naka experience na ba sa inyo nito? Thank you mga sir.

^ First of all, did you check if your fuel level was low? Ang alam ko kasi, pag medyo mababa na, the fuel warning light will lit up, sort of a warning. Nawawala siya eventually. Pag hindi ka padin nagpa gas and lalo pang bumaba, diyan na siya lalabas ulit and hindi na mawawala until you have gassed up.

So baka nung pinaabot mo ng 140 kph, na reach na niya ung fuel level that was low enough to lit up the fuel warning light pero hindi pa siya ganon kababa kaya nawala din siya eventually.

Now kung madami ka pang gas and nangyari yan, more likely it's the sensor.

I agree.

Mas nakalabas yung right compared sa left. Nagpalit ako ng mags last week. Ang sagwa kasi tingnan sa likod eh. Hope someone can help me. Tia.

Pag may time ako tom, picturan ko. But if I were, I would bring it to the dealership and let them figure it out kung may mali.

I tried to rev it and I asked somebody to look kung nagi emit ng black smoke, wala daw. Very light and close to invisible white smoke lang. I tried to rev it past 3k, meron daw pero sobrang konti lang and nawala din. I am still very confident in using it kahit nakailaw. I am not sure pero baka sa fuel filter ito kasi kakapalinis ko pa lang ng EGR a few months ago so malabo ata na barado na ulit un.

rna- Have you tried to scan the error?

Speaking of which, do you think those bluetooth ecu scanner will work on our dmax? Its kinda expensive to go to a place and have it scanned for Php 950 (in our place the least), everytime cel light up.

On a side note, we're planning to buy another pick up, early next year. Our (mine) top 2 choices are the Dmax and Hilux. Another option is the new Navarra, if it will be released early next year.

Sa hilux, i really want the 3.0 m/t 4x4 but its close to 1.5 mil, whereas sa dmax 3.0 LS is just about 1.2 mil sans the 4x4. Pag 4x4 parehas, almost the same lang ata, so i'm leaning sa hilux pag both 4x4 (we never had a toyota ever, even our relatives so its a first), the only thing that's making me think twice is the upcoming new hilux "which might come out next year", if that happens we will be stuck in a new old model. But then again my father insist we dont need 4x4 (he's the one paying) and I agree, so its a 50/50 between the two. I like the dmax's reliability which had served us well, plus the larger displacement compared if we'd get a 2.5 m/t.

Reason i like the hilux (or any other truck) is because we'd be keeping our dmax, so imo having 2 dmax's, 2 same engine but diff body is somewhat redundant and i'd like to try Toyota's for a change.

    Any thoughts gents?

*vanleano, its nice to be back
*bugoys, having the same engine doesnt mean the experience will be the same. Malaki improvement ng dmax interior and exterior vs the old one even compared to the outgoing hilux. But kung hilux talaga gusto mo, wait for the all new na .

*bugoys: I haven't tried to have it scanned, sir.

Wala pa akong time pero siguro some time this week ipapa check ko. Sa daming beses ko ng na experience yang CEL/MIL na yan, hindi na ako kinakabahan na makita siya sa dashboard ko.hehe In fact more than 500 kms na ang natakbo niya ever since it lit up, wala pa naman problema. Pinipilit ko ngang patirikin, ayaw tumirik.hehe From my experiences, basta hindi tumitirik, most likely yan EGR or fuel filter ang may problem. My friend has a scanner, he charges 1k for a scan.

If I were to buy a pickup, for me personally Ford Ranger 3.2 Wildtrak, Toyota Hilux 3.0 and Isuzu Dmax 3.0 lang ang pagpipilian ko. The other pickups, "ok" naman sila but I don't see myself owning those. That is also a factor for me whenever I buy a vehicle. I should see myself driving it and I should feel good owning it. Kahit gaano kaganda ang paper spec ng isang vehicle but I don't connect to it, I would never buy it.

My top pick is the Ranger kasi not only it looks good but that 3.2L engine is just wow. Un lang mahal na ung 3.2L. No love for me for the 2.2L coz for me, 2.2L for a pickup, baka puro rev ang gagawin ko kasi wala siyang low end grunt lalo pag may karga akong mabigat.

Sa Hilux, for me I like its engine, actually kahit ung 2.5L lang, I find it good already although the 3.0 is better. Like you, I don't need a 4x4 too so either choice is fine with me. It is a plus that it is still gwapo even if it still has the shape and design of the previous gen Hilux.

Then lastly the Dmax. Huli siya coz from the looks department, I find the Ranger and Hilux more handsome especially looking from the front. Para kasing may pagka Chinese truck ang ichura ng Dmax looking from the front.hehe But looking from the side and back, gwapo din naman. Mas malaki, malapad pa and the interior is better than the previous gen. But what is more important is the engine. Ang maganda ay it has a 3.0 4x2 option.

Since my Dmax ka na, if I were you, I would look at other brands. Sa akin kasi not unless sobrang die hard fan ka ng isang brand, parang gusto ko naman ma-try ang ibang brands and hindi puro nalang itong brand "X" na ito ang laman ng garage ko.hehe Then in the future, saka nalang ulit ako bibili pag may mas maganda nanaman na design.

But if you could wait for the all new Hilux, I would do so. Para at least all new model na and that model will last for years again before they will replace it.

We have the same sentiments man! Though yung Ranger didn't passed by my mind. Wala lang, I don't know, it looks good, powerful (3.2), brusco but it never had a "nice" feeling about it.

Sana Toyota would release a 3.0 4x2. Hahahah. Oh well.

Djerms- Thanks for the input as well.

Ganyan talaga, sir, we have different taste.hehe

Pero if I were you, I would really wait for the all new Hilux. Also the all new NP300 considering Navara is among your choices.

Kung hindi naman kayo nagmamadali, all new na. Downside is, alam mo naman pag bago ang vehicle, the stealerships will take advantage and kawawa ka kung cash buyer ka plus those ridiculous DI, DP, reservation, waiting time. Parusa kung kailangan mo na ng new vehicle right away.

Yan ang gusto ko sa Isuzu, they offer 3.0 for 4x2. And even their 4x2 variants, para narin 4x4 ang ichura.

By the way, I saw the Dmax X Max series in Isuzu Commonwealth, honestly maganda siya. Nagandahan ako. I would consider buying that kung first time ako bibili ng Dmax.
