hello everyone just want to inform fellow tsikoteers that my husband and i decided for the grand starex tci vs innova g and sportivo.The van is really huge as compared to our other van-delica.We really have to get used to it hassle kasi wala power lock.Pag luwas namin sa manila padagdag na lang ng foglmps, power lock etc. syempre dagdag expenses.We have the 10 seater but for our size good only for 8 seater hehehe.ok naman sa amin kahit fixed un third row, ok din ang cargo space umaalog nga lang kung konti ang karga sa likod.We got our unit hyundai la union at delivered ang unit door to door dito sa northern cagayan. 8 L/km ang initial na fuel consumption.

guys may pic nako. badtrip lang nawawala ung wire ko ung sa usb para mag transfer. basta beige po ung loob nya. tapos ung lower part is painted ng parang beige. almost same sa color ng outgoing GRX.

ung CRDi variant po has dual airbag.
no rear wiper
no rear spoiler
no 3rd brakelight
no back mirror.


sorry kung medyo magulo pa po mga specs. wala pa po kasi ito product knowledge from hari. basta kung may tanung po kau oll try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

*xtrememan: bro bili lang ako sa recto ng card reader hehe wla ako mahiraman ng wire para sa digicam ko.

*automahn: sir 1,768,000 po ung GOLD variant. d pa po sure ung mga specs na pi nost ko kanina specially ung electronic stability program. mga 90% sure palang po ung mga specs na iyan

Baka pumunta ako SM MOA tomorrow or friday to see the display of the CRDi starex... i like the beige interior talaga... the sad part is that it doesnt have a spoiler, a 3rd break light and most important the rear wiper! pano kaya yun kung gusto mo magpalagay eh di naman ata pwede magbutas dun sa likod nun para maglagay ng wiper.. hehe!

todo bantay talaga kami sa mga updates regarding the CRDi variants kasi this december or next year bumili na kami... depende kung ano maging desisyon ng father ko kung van or suv ang bibilin.

Windshield mounted yung rear wiper ng Grand Starex:



Parang sa Hyundai Getz yan, magpapalit ng rear windshield na may provision for a wiper.

Eto yung specs nung top of the line Grand Starex (HVX) ng Standout several months ago. Among the specs niya, ang nakikita ko lang na lamang niya sa Grand Starex Gold ng HARI is the dual sunroof (pakicheck naman fellow Tsikoteers kung may namiss ako).
Di natin alam kung ito pa rin yung specs & price niya ngayon. Assuming na same price pa rin at P1.738 M, 30k lang ang diprensiya niya sa Gold unit ng HARI which according to lui is P1.768 M. One year lang ang LTO reg pag sa Standout vs 3 years sa HARI tapos sa Standout 1 year ang warranty vs 5 years sa HARI.

Yeah, the lower end model doesn't seem to be worth the price of admission, based on previous Starex experience, and the top of the line seems to be way too expensive.

If you with the Previa though, you won't have as much interior space (if you need it), and your fuel consumption might not be as good as with the CRDI engine on the Starex. But then, in the case of the latter, we have yet to see what fuel consumption figures it can give.

xTrememan, mas ok A/T compare sa manual, base sa experience ko sa GRX model. Pero kung na-improve na ng hyundai ang drive by wire nila e ok lang cguro manual.

okang a/t ng hyundai. meron na siyang "semi-automatic" which you may call tiptronic, steptronic or manumatic.you can go full auto or use the semi-auto magiging manual na dating mo. you can use which gear you would like parang sa manual.

Anyone there who can tell us the performance of the new Starex? Iba na kasi set up ng suspension nito compared to Gen. 3.

From my experience medyo bouncy and ride kapag MacPherson Strut ang suspension. Di din maganda handling.

my brother owns a grand starex vgt. i have a millenium starex. my brother also has a millenium starex. comparing the old starex suspension, the grand starex has a much improved ride than the older version which is floaty and bouncy up front. the ride of the old starex was a bit improved by changing to gas shocks. the grand starex has a firmer and more comfortable ride, lesser sway and much quieter. i hope this helps.

Torsion beam to coil spring in front, I think this is the reason why the grand starex eliminate the bouncy ride.

Thanks so much for the info. Just want to add another question regarding the airconditioning system? The rear airconditioning vents of the new Starex are similar to the design found in the Innova. The cooling system of the Innova is not that good/ effective compared to the old Starex. It takes too long to cool the cabin. How about for the new Starex?
