Don't be blinded with Standout's Grand Starex units... they might be packed with good stuff but you'll have problems with car registration and the warranty! Sabi ng kausap ko sa hyundai nung isang araw may kaso daw ang Standout kasi hindi daw sila nagbabayad ng tax! Hehe!

Agree ako that you might have problems with warranty and registration. Pero baka naman selling tactic lang yan nung taga Hyundai kasi hirap nga naman mag benta ng bare kung ang kalaban mo fully loaded at around the same price or even less.

Siguro sinacrifice nila yung mga hinahanap natin sa Grand Starex kapalit nung 5 years warranty.. hindi kaya ganun nga ang style nila? Eh kung sakin lang ok na kung ibalik nila sa 3 years warranty para ibalik nila yung mga hinubad nila sa mga units nila. Waaaaa!

Yikes! Now that's a reason to think twice. At least the only problem we had with Motorplus was their distance to our place (Alabang to Quezon Ave), and with HARI dealers sprouting here and there, more accessible service options were available.

Hindi ako naniniwala na nde "tropicalized* ang sa STANDOUT, pareho lang yan. Yung mga nauna siguro na HYUNDAI ang hindi tropicalize. Ang mahirap lang pag sa STANDOUT ka kumuha e wala warranty.

hahahaha! kahit anong boycott kasi gawin nagagandahan talaga ako sa mga hyundai cars ngayon eh... gara kasi dapat talaga ayusin nila problema sa grand starex. yun talaga gusto namin bilin next to santa fe... baka one time tignan namin yung grand starex sa standout, kahit nakakatakot bumili dun loaded naman ang features and halos same price lang sa HARI...

Pero ako e hindi na talaga ako bibili ng HYUNDAI. Ako kasi ang may experience pagdadala nito sa CASA, ako din nakikipag-deal sa HARI everytime nagpapalusot * gumagawa ng kung anu-anung dahilan CASA nila. Nde ko na nga ginagamit STAREX ngayon e, pag may lakad tapos kailangan Starex e papadrive ko na lang sa driver namin.

Anyone there who can tell us the performance of the new Starex? Iba na kasi set up ng suspension nito compared to Gen. 3.

From my experience medyo bouncy and ride kapag MacPherson Strut ang suspension. Di din maganda handling.

baka one time tignan namin yung grand starex sa standout, kahit nakakatakot bumili dun loaded naman ang features and halos same price lang sa HARI...

xTrememan, pag natuloy kayong tumingin ng Grand Starex sa Standout, kuha ka naman pls nung updated spec sheet and prices nung units nila tapos pakipost mo dito. Nirereview ko kasi yung dating napost na specs from Standout, yung top of the line din lang nila ang may dual airbags and rear wiper. Thanks bro!

Dun sa Gen 3 Starex dati, price comparison between HARI and gray market, halos magkapareho ang price per level (GRX vs GRX, Gold vs Gold), mas mababa pa nga ng konti yung gray market. Nga lang, the gray market model would have the better features. For the Gen 3 Gold ng HARI as an example, beige interior and more plush seating compared to their GRX. The gray market counterpart came in full leather seats, dual sunroof, an entertainment system and the works.

Sadly, I've got the same feeling with the Gen 4. I suppose this is the same case as buyers of Land Cruisers, Prados and Patrols, among others. These vehicles have TMPI and Universal Motors local (in other words, bare) versions. For the fully-spec'd, although perhaps more expensive, models, you'd have to look to the gray market. But the major difference with these SUVs and the Grand Starex is these big SUVs did not sell because they offered the most value for money. The 3 previous generations of Starexes did. HARI probably thinks they can demand the same from the buying public now. That's sad
